There is no single best weapon for every mo.co player. Since the May 19, 2026 rework, each weapon is a self-contained class with a fixed skill kit. Your real choice is the class whose range, attack pattern, control, mobility, recovery and team utility fit the way you play, then the Upgrade Core effects that correct its weaknesses.
This guide explains how to make that choice without relying on an unverified tier list. It uses the abilities and progression systems officially described for the current reworked game, while treating balance, seasonal rewards and unlock availability as changeable.
What “build” means after the May 2026 rework
Before the rework, players assembled more of their own builds. The May 19, 2026 release notes changed that model: We’ve moved from customizable builds to fully equipped Weapons. Each Weapon is now its own class, coming with a pre-defined set of skills.
In practical terms, you do not start with a blank weapon and select unrelated abilities. You select a class whose attacks and utility are already defined, then use Upgrade Cores and your play decisions to tune it.

That change makes “best weapon” a role question rather than a universal ranking. A weapon that feels safe and useful for a solo player may be less valuable to a coordinated group, while a close-range class may be excellent in experienced hands and uncomfortable for someone who prefers distance. The live game also changes through patches and seasons, so a static list of strongest weapons would become unreliable quickly.

Use these five criteria before looking at a weapon name
Read every weapon through the same set of questions. This prevents a flashy ability from deciding the choice by itself.
| Criterion | What to inspect | Why it changes your choice |
|---|---|---|
| Range and attack pattern | Does the basic attack work at distance, in melee, in a line, in a cone or against one target? | Range determines how much danger you take to deal damage and whether the class suits your positioning habits. |
| Crowd control and area coverage | Look for slows, stuns, pulls, piercing attacks and area damage. | Control buys time and area coverage helps when several enemies occupy the same space. |
| Mobility and safety | Check for dashes, teleports, invisibility or other ways to disengage. | Movement tools can compensate for a fragile class or let an aggressive player stay on a target. |
| Personal or team recovery | Separate healing yourself from healing allies, and note whether recovery is immediate or over time. | Recovery changes how long you can remain active and how much support your group receives. |
| Core compatibility | Decide whether damage, attack speed, cooldown, healing, health or dodge is the missing piece. | A core should address a real weakness instead of merely adding a stat you already have enough of. |
These are decision axes, not a published performance ranking. Official material does not provide comparable damage, win-rate, pick-rate or DPS figures for the full roster.
What the documented weapons actually do
Speedshot: ranged pressure with control and recovery
Speedshot is built around ranged damage. Its piercing arrows travel in a straight line, so your positioning and aim determine how many enemies you can affect. Cold Snap slows enemies, giving you more time to maintain distance or line up another attack. Rain Supreme adds area damage when opponents group together. Comeback provides healing over time.
Choose Speedshot when you want a clear separation from enemies, a way to slow a dangerous group and a built-in recovery tool. It is a natural starting point for players who prefer to manage space rather than stand beside a target. Its value is less obvious if you dislike aiming in a line or consistently allow enemies to collapse on your position.
Venom Bow: ranged damage with a venom theme
Venom Bow uses venom-oriented abilities and includes Antidote for healing. The official description establishes the weapon’s damage theme and its access to healing, but does not publish a comparative damage figure against Speedshot or any other bow.
Pick Venom Bow if you like a ranged class whose identity is tied to venom effects and you want recovery inside the kit. Compare its actual skills in your current game version before committing, because the documented description is not a full numerical balance sheet.

The lighting is vibrant yet eye-friendly. The built-in 600mAh battery provides up to 6 hours of battery life in brightness mode — enough for a full day of gaming
Wolf Stick: companion play, taunting and shared healing
Wolf Stick fights with a wolf companion. Its kit includes a taunt, which can redirect enemy attention, and a charged frenzy that heals both the player and the wolf. That combination supports a player who enjoys managing a companion and creating safer windows through enemy attention.
Wolf Stick is a logical candidate when you want a front-line or distraction-oriented rhythm rather than a pure ranged loop. The companion and taunt also give the class a distinct form of control, but they do not make it automatically superior for every encounter. You still need to decide whether you can keep the companion and your own position safe.
Squid Blades: fast melee with stun, stealth and hit-based healing
Squid Blades attack one close-range target at high speed. The weapon has a dash-and-stun skill, temporary invisibility and a charged attack that heals on hits. Another blade skill pierces in a cone, giving the class some coverage beyond a single target.
This is the documented option for players who want to stay close, create an opening with a stun, disappear briefly and recover by continuing to connect attacks. It rewards deliberate timing: the dash can start an engagement, invisibility can provide a short safety window and the charged attack only heals when you are successfully hitting. If you prefer never to enter melee range, its strengths will be difficult to use.
Singularity: displacement, area damage and ally restoration
Singularity uses a traveling projectile and combines movement, control and support. Its documented abilities include teleportation, area damage, a black hole that pulls and stuns, and a restorative pulse that heals allies in its radius.

1Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minute2Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errors3Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitchesChoose Singularity when your group benefits from enemy displacement and ally recovery, or when you want a class that can change position with teleportation. The restorative pulse is specifically team-facing, so its value depends on allies being close enough to receive it. It is not evidence that Singularity has the highest damage; no official comparative ranking establishes that.

Match a weapon to the way you play
For a cautious solo player
Start by prioritizing distance, control and a reliable way to recover. Speedshot combines ranged attacks, a slow, area damage and healing over time. Venom Bow also supplies ranged venom abilities and healing through Antidote. These kits let you solve mistakes without requiring constant melee contact.
Wolf Stick can suit a solo player who is comfortable using a companion and taunt to influence enemy attention. Squid Blades can work for a confident melee player, but its healing depends on landing hits and its safety tools must be timed. Singularity offers mobility and control, while its ally-healing pulse is less relevant when you are not supporting a group.
For coordinated team play
Ask what your team lacks before selecting your own damage pattern. Singularity’s restorative pulse heals allies in its radius, and its pull-and-stun black hole can help a group focus enemies. Wolf Stick’s taunt can create a different kind of space by directing attention away from teammates.
What’s actually slowing this PC down?
Pick the symptom - the matching free tool is one click away.
A team that already has recovery may instead prefer Speedshot’s slow and area damage, or Squid Blades’ stun and fast pressure. Coordination matters: an ally-healing ability only helps when teammates can remain within its area, and a taunt only creates value when the group can exploit the redirected attention.
For players who dislike complicated positioning
Look for the attack pattern you can execute consistently. Straight-line piercing arrows require you to line up targets; close-range blades require you to enter and leave danger deliberately; a companion class adds another entity to monitor; a teleport-and-pull kit asks you to judge both movement and enemy grouping. The “easiest” weapon is therefore personal. Test whether you can repeat the basic attack and one defensive response reliably before judging advanced combos.
For players who want aggressive melee
Squid Blades provide the clearest documented aggressive loop: dash and stun, use temporary invisibility to create a short safety window, then use the charged attack to heal while hits connect. Wolf Stick offers a more companion-centered approach, with taunt and a charged frenzy that heals both you and the wolf. Neither description proves a universal damage advantage, so choose based on whether you prefer direct blade contact or companion management.

Upgrade Cores: tune the class instead of rebuilding it
Upgrade Cores provide targeted boosts and are found by defeating monsters. You insert them through the Weapons menu. The officially listed categories are:
| Core type | What it changes | When it is a sensible answer |
|---|---|---|
| Damage | Raises general damage. | Use when your class survives comfortably but takes too long to finish targets. |
| Critical Damage | Improves the impact of critical hits. | Consider it when your weapon and play pattern already make critical hits meaningful. |
| Attack Speed | Increases attack speed. | Useful for a rhythm built around frequent basic attacks or hit-based effects. |
| Cooldown | Reduces ability cooldowns. | Choose it when your control, mobility or recovery skill is unavailable too often. |
| Healing | Improves healing done. | Relevant to weapons that heal themselves or allies, such as a recovery-focused setup. |
| Healing Received | Improves healing you receive. | More useful when your survival depends on incoming recovery rather than your own healing output. |
| Max Health | Raises maximum health. | Helps when unavoidable damage is the problem and a larger buffer gives you time to respond. |
| Dodge | Improves dodge capability. | Fits a player whose survival depends on avoiding attacks rather than absorbing them. |
There is no official evidence for a best-in-slot core combination for each weapon. Treat a core as a correction: identify the failure you see in play, then select the effect that addresses it. Damage is not automatically better than cooldown, and Healing is not the same as Healing Received.
Equipped cores cannot simply be removed. Support instructions describe swapping an equipped core for one with a higher charge; the swapped core is returned to storage. Plan changes around that rule instead of assuming you can freely unequip every experiment.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone.Availability, seasons and mastery affect the practical choice
Check the current P.E.R.K. pool
Weapon access can depend on seasonal progression and the reward pool. Official support says the P.E.R.K. pool refreshes each season and can include weapons, mo.gold, Merch Credits and Upgrade Cores. Do not promise that a weapon is immediately available merely because it is documented in a patch note.
A Season 5 update is a dated example: Medicine Ball, Storm Weaver and Pyro were added to the P.E.R.K. pool for players who had missed them earlier, while that update said no new weapons were added that season. Those names describe that season’s change, not a guarantee about the pool on your current date. Check the in-game pool and the latest release notes before planning an unlock route.

Use mastery to learn, not to prove a universal tier list
Weapon mastery has three described tracks: weapon-specific Dojo challenges, weapon milestones such as defeating enemies or bosses, and Elite Contract performance. Rewards can include badges, profile metrics, Upgrade Cores and a Golden Weapon Shader.
Best Value
- Officially licensed by Xbox. Bluetooth connection. Supports Xbox Cloud Gaming.
- Officially supported by Apple. Compatible with Apple and Android devices. Stretchable design fits most phones (100–170mm in length).
- Hall Effect Joysticks and Triggers - Upgraded. Robust and long-lasting. Offering higher precision and sensitivity.
- Tactile bumpers and D-pad, 2 Pro back paddle buttons, Xbox button, and wear-resistant metal joystick rings for more ways to play.
- Support 8BitDo Ultimate Software V2 on mobile.
Because mastery rewards are tied to individual weapons, the system favors trying a class and becoming consistent with it. A weapon you understand well can be more useful to you than a community favorite you have barely practiced. Mastery progress also gives you a structured reason to test a weapon before spending scarce upgrade resources on it.
A repeatable method for choosing your weapon
- Define the job you want to perform. Write one primary goal: stay at range, clear groups, lock down dangerous enemies, survive alone, heal allies or play aggressively in melee.
- Shortlist two or three documented kits. Use the role descriptions above rather than a tier label. For example, a ranged-control shortlist could include Speedshot and Venom Bow; a support-and-control shortlist could include Singularity and Wolf Stick.
- Compare the attack pattern to your actual habits. Decide whether you can consistently line up piercing arrows, maintain melee contact, manage a companion or place area and pull effects where your team needs them.
- Identify your most common failure. If you die while waiting for an ability, consider Cooldown. If you survive but cannot finish targets, consider Damage or Attack Speed. If you miss recovery windows, decide whether Healing, Healing Received or Max Health addresses the problem.
- Check access before investing. Open the current weapon and P.E.R.K. information in the game. Seasonal availability can make an otherwise suitable choice unavailable to you right now.
- Play enough mastery objectives to test consistency. Dojo challenges, weapon milestones and Elite Contracts expose different parts of a kit. Note whether the weapon remains comfortable outside a single favorable encounter.
- Install a corrective core, then reassess. Use the Weapons menu to insert the core. Because removal is handled through swapping and storage return, make changes deliberately and record which effect solved the problem.
Common selection mistakes and how to correct them
Mistake: treating the highest apparent damage as the answer
No official source in the current documentation publishes a complete damage ranking. A class that deals damage but cannot keep enemies in range may underperform for your hands. Compare control, movement and recovery along with offense.
Mistake: choosing a team-healing weapon for a solo problem
Singularity’s restorative pulse heals allies in its radius. If your issue is personal survivability while playing alone, first consider a weapon with documented self-recovery or a core that improves your own health, dodge or received healing.
Mistake: using a healing core when the problem is incoming damage
Healing improves healing done; Healing Received improves healing you receive. If you are being defeated before recovery can matter, Max Health, Dodge or Cooldown may address the cause more directly.
Mistake: assuming a seasonal unlock is permanent
The P.E.R.K. pool refreshes. A weapon added for one season, including the Season 5 examples, is not a promise about a later reward pool. Verify the current season before giving yourself an unlock deadline.
Mistake: copying a community ranking without checking the patch
The documented system and availability can change, and the official material does not establish a universal tier list. Use rankings, if you consult them elsewhere, as a starting hypothesis; then verify the current kit and test the class through its mastery activities.
The practical verdict
Choose Speedshot for ranged pressure with a slow, area damage and healing over time; Venom Bow for a venom-focused ranged kit with Antidote; Wolf Stick for companion play, taunt and shared healing; Squid Blades for fast melee, stun, invisibility and hit-based recovery; or Singularity for teleportation, pull-and-stun control, area damage and ally restoration. Then select an Upgrade Core that fixes the weakness you actually observe.
