There is no single best 32-inch LED TV for every buyer: the right choice depends on your country, preferred smart-TV platform, resolution needs, and the exact model available locally. TechRadar’s reviewed shortlist names the LG 32LQ6300 as its best 32-inch TV for most people, with different budget picks for the US and UK. Treat these as editorial recommendations, not a universal or current-stock ranking.
Compare the reviewed 32-inch TV picks
The models below come from TechRadar’s comparison. Its picture, sound, menu, and gaming judgments are editorial review findings, not independent tests conducted for this article. Specifications and model names can vary by region and year.
| Model | Role and market in the guide | Display and resolution | Smart platform | Notable tradeoffs |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| LG 32LQ6300 | Best 32-inch TV for most people | LED, Full HD (1080p) | webOS | The guide praises its HDR picture, gaming performance, and better-than-expected audio; it notes a cluttered home menu and some black-uniformity issues. |
| Amazon 2-series (2023) | Best cheap 32-inch TV in the US | LED, 720p | Fire TV | The guide notes decent sound and Fire TV access, but inconsistent picture quality and potentially laggy navigation. |
| TCL S5400 | Best cheap 32-inch TV in the UK | LCD, 1080p | Google TV | A budget-oriented option; confirm the precise local model and its availability. |
| Samsung Q60D | Best 32-inch QLED TV in the US | QLED, listed as 4K | Tizen | The guide praises its detailed, colorful picture and HDR10+, while flagging its price and thin sound. |

Choose resolution for how you will use the TV
“LED” describes the display’s backlighting approach; it does not tell you how detailed the picture will be. The reviewed options range from 720p to 4K, so check native resolution rather than assuming two 32-inch sets are equivalent.
#1 Best Overall
- 720p resolution - View your favorite movies, shows and games in high definition.
- Alexa voice control - The Alexa Voice Remote lets you easily control your entertainment, search across apps, switch inputs, and more using just your voice. Press and hold the voice button and ask Alexa to easily find, launch, and control content, and even switch to cable.
- Access thousands of shows with Fire TV - Watch over 1.5 million streaming movies and TV episodes with access to thousands of channels, apps and Alexa skills, including Prime Video, Netflix, Hulu, HBO Max, YouTube, Apple TV+, Disney+, ESPN+, Sling TV, Paramount+, and other services right from this TV.*
- DTS Virtual-X Sound - An immersive sound format creates a three-dimensional sound experience with your TV’s speakers.
- Supports HDMI ARC - Sends audio directly from the HDMI jack to a compatible soundbar or AV receiver, removing the need for an extra cable.
- 720p: The Amazon 2-series in the guide is listed at this resolution. It may suit basic or budget viewing, but Full HD can show finer detail in text and high-definition sources.
- Full HD (1080p): The LG 32LQ6300 and TCL S5400 are listed as 1080p. This is worth comparing if you sit close to the screen or use it for detailed video and text.
- 4K: The Samsung Q60D is listed as 4K in the guide, making it unusual among these small-screen picks. Verify the exact regional model’s specification before purchase.
HDR support is another specification to check, but a format label alone does not establish how bright or convincing HDR will look on a particular set. The guide identifies HDR picture strengths for the LG and HDR10+ support for the Samsung; it does not provide a controlled, side-by-side measurement of their HDR performance.
Match the smart platform to your household
The shortlist spans four smart-TV systems: webOS on the LG, Fire TV on the Amazon, Google TV on the TCL, and Tizen on the Samsung. Before buying, check that the apps you use are available in your country and consider whether the interface fits the household’s habits. The review guide specifically describes the Amazon’s navigation as potentially laggy and the LG’s home menu as cluttered; those are review observations, not guaranteed outcomes on every unit or software version.

Think about sound and gaming, not just picture
Built-in sound
For ordinary viewing, built-in speakers may be enough, but dialogue-heavy programs and a main-room setup can make sound quality more important. TechRadar reports better-than-expected audio from the LG and calls the Samsung Q60D’s sound thin. If possible, listen to the set in person; consider external audio only if the built-in sound does not meet your needs.

Gaming features
The guide gives the LG a positive broad assessment for gaming, but does not supply detailed measurements for every model. For a console or PC setup, look up the exact model’s refresh rate, input lag, HDMI features, and compatibility in its official specifications or manual. Do not infer those details from screen size or a general review impression.

Check dimensions, model suffix, and local availability
A 32-inch measurement refers to the screen’s diagonal, not the television’s total width or height. Measure the space and check the full product dimensions, including the stand and room for cables. TCL India gives a typical 32-inch screen area of about 27.9 inches wide by 15.7 inches high; those figures describe an estimated screen area, not the outer dimensions of every television.
Regional lineups and stock can change quickly. LG’s US site lists a new 2026 32LB650BPUA HD smart TV with HDR10 Pro, webOS, Alpha 5 AI Processor Gen9, and AI Sound Pro, but that listing does not establish that it outperforms the reviewed 32LQ6300. Samsung UK’s 2026 Q5F page identifies the 32-inch QLED Full HD QE32Q5FAAUXXU but marks it “No longer available.” TCL India’s 32-inch range is specific to that market, while TCL Canada’s separate 32S321-CA is a legacy 720p Roku model marked sold out.

For US buyers, a Tom’s Guide deal report updated October 2, 2026 describes Amazon’s Ember 2-Series in 32- and 40-inch sizes as 1080p, with Wi-Fi 6, an Alexa voice remote, and HDR10/HLG. The report’s deal is for the 40-inch set; its price should not be applied to the 32-inch version.
Before ordering, verify the complete model number and regional suffix on the retailer listing, confirm that the listed resolution and platform match your needs, and review the seller’s stock, warranty, and return terms. Manufacturer product pages can confirm listed features or availability status, but they are not independent comparative picture tests.
