There is no verified, apples-to-apples ranking of cheap WooCommerce hosts in the available provider information. The useful starting point is to compare the exact plan, prepaid term, renewal rate, and store features—not the advertised monthly price alone. WooCommerce itself is free, but hosting is a separate operating cost; WooCommerce gives a broad estimate of $25–$350 per month for hosting for most stores, not a quote or average for the providers below.
What “cheap WooCommerce hosting” really costs
WooCommerce’s pricing guidance puts hosting for most stores in a general range of $25–$350 per month. That is broad guidance, not a measured average or a price recommendation for a particular shop. The platform is free, while the store owner chooses and pays for hosting separately. See WooCommerce’s cost guidance.
Provider offers below use different currencies, markets, plans, and prepaid terms. Treat them as examples of how pricing is presented—not as a direct price ranking. Prices are volatile; the official pages reviewed were accessed in 2026 but did not provide publication dates in the captured content. Check the provider’s checkout for the current offer, term, taxes, and renewal price before buying.
| Provider and plan | Advertised terms in the cited market | What the cited page establishes |
|---|---|---|
| Bluehost WordPress Starter | $3.99 per month for a 36-month term; renews at $9.99 per month. Tax is excluded. | WordPress plan pricing; the cited feature table reserves WooCommerce auto-install and secure payment processing for eCommerce Essentials among the three listed plans. |
| Bluehost eCommerce Essentials | $14.99 per month introductory price; the renewal table shows $17.99 per month for a 36-month renewal. | Commerce-tier pricing and features. Confirm the checkout term and payment features for your market. |
| SiteGround StartUp (UK) | £1.99 per month, prepaid for 12 months; renews at £13.99 per month. VAT is excluded. | One website, 10 GB storage, WooCommerce auto-install, daily backups, free migration, and managed updates. |

Which candidates can be assessed from the available plan details?
Bluehost: compare the WordPress entry plan with its commerce tier
The low Starter figure is not equivalent to a plan whose cited feature table includes WooCommerce auto-install and secure payment processing. Those features appear on eCommerce Essentials among the three plans shown. Decide whether you need the commerce-tier features, then compare its checkout price and renewal terms rather than treating the Starter rate as the cost of a store-ready configuration.
Bluehost’s competitor comparison names other hosts and advertised starting prices, but it is provider-authored and does not normalize currencies, tiers, billing commitments, or renewals. It is a discovery list, not independent evidence that one provider is cheaper or better. See Bluehost’s comparison article.
SiteGround: UK pricing includes useful plan-level detail
The cited UK page gives StartUp a defined bundle—one website, 10 GB storage, WooCommerce auto-install, daily backups, migration, and managed updates—alongside its introductory and renewal rates. GrowBig adds staging and on-demand backups in the page’s description, at a higher introductory and renewal price. These are UK offers, not US rates; confirm local pricing, tax, and the current checkout terms for your market.

Other names in a comparison table are not verified recommendations
DreamHost, Cloudways, A2 Hosting, and GoDaddy appear in Bluehost’s comparison table, as do several other providers. The material available here does not establish current, comparable WooCommerce plan prices and terms for them. The opened DreamHost WordPress page yielded no usable price details. Do not treat a competitor-table starting price as a verified offer or as proof that a specific plan suits a store.

How to choose a plan for your store
- Calculate the full first-term commitment. Multiply the monthly equivalent by the required prepaid term, then account for tax and any required add-ons. A low monthly figure tied to 36 or 48 months means paying a substantial amount up front.
- Put renewal beside the introductory price. Budget for the renewal rate from the beginning. Confirm whether renewal uses the same duration and whether taxes or extras change the amount due.
- Check that the exact tier supports your store. Look for WooCommerce installation or setup, payment-related features if needed, and compatibility with the store’s actual requirements. A plan labelled “WordPress” or “WooCommerce” is not enough by itself.
- Compare operating safeguards. Verify backup frequency and retention, restoration process, staging, migration assistance, and support scope for WordPress and WooCommerce. A backup listing does not by itself establish how long copies are retained or how quickly restoration is handled.
- Check capacity and the growth path. Find the plan’s storage, resource ceilings, and any traffic or visit allowances. Ask what upgrade or migration looks like if the shop outgrows the tier. Comparable limits were not established for all candidates here.
- Match hosting location to customers. Confirm available server regions and choose a setup appropriate for where shoppers are located; the prices shown for the UK should not be assumed to apply elsewhere.
- Separate claims from evidence. Provider statements about speed, visitor capacity, or uptime are marketing unless supported by independently measured tests or a guarantee with stated conditions. The cited pages do not provide a common performance benchmark.
What this comparison can—and cannot—tell you
The cited pages demonstrate that introductory prices, renewal rates, billing commitments, currencies, taxes, and included features vary. They do not verify a comparable shortlist, comparable US pricing for all candidates, independently tested speed or uptime, or comparable resource limits. Use the figures as leads to verify directly, not as a definitive ranking.
