There is not enough comparable, independent evidence to name seven screen protectors as the best overall. The right choice starts with your exact phone model and depends on fit, coverage, installation, finish, and replacement terms—not a strength multiplier on a product page.
Start with your exact phone model
Screen protectors are model-specific. Before ordering, match the listing to your phone’s exact make, model, and variant; similar names do not guarantee identical dimensions or cutouts. Check compatibility information for the camera and sensors, and confirm that the protector is designed to work with your case.
Listings can change as new phone models arrive. Recheck compatibility and stock on the seller’s page at the time you buy rather than relying on an old product description.
Compare the features that affect everyday use
Coverage and case fit
Check whether the protector covers the full screen or leaves space at the edges, and whether it has cutouts. A case may overlap the screen edges, so look for compatibility guidance for your specific case or case type. The available product pages here do not establish a cross-brand case-fit comparison.

Material and thickness
Glass type and thickness can affect handling and feel, but a material label alone does not establish which protector will perform best. For example, Belkin lists its UltraGlass 2 at 0.29 mm and describes it as lithium aluminosilicate glass strengthened through double-ion exchange. Those are product specifications, not evidence of a controlled comparison against other brands.
Touch, clarity, and finish
Choose a finish around your priorities: clear viewing, fewer fingerprints, less glare, or privacy. Check what the listing actually promises about touch response and smudge resistance. The examples below chiefly describe clear glass and smudge resistance; no controlled optical or touch testing is available to rank them.

| Product | Listing details | What the strength claim means |
|---|---|---|
| Belkin UltraGlass 2 | Apple’s US Store listing, accessed October 7, 2026, showed $39.95 and compatibility with iPhone 17 and iPhone 16 Pro. It lists lithium aluminosilicate glass, double-ion-exchange strengthening, 0.29 mm thickness, full-screen coverage, an Easy Align tray, cleaning cloth, and dust-removal sticker. Apple product listing | Apple’s listing attributes to Belkin “up to 2.7x stronger than tempered glass protectors” and also displays a claim of up to 24% better drop performance than prior Belkin UltraGlass. These are Belkin claims, not independent head-to-head results. Belkin product page |
| ZAGG Glass Elite | ZAGG’s iPhone 16 listing, accessed October 7, 2026, showed $39.99. It describes aluminosilicate glass, an EZ Apply alignment tray, dust-free adhesive, up to 30% post-consumer recycled glass, and a limited lifetime replacement warranty. How to interpret durability claims
Figures such as “2.7x stronger” or “five times stronger” are meaningful only in relation to the comparison and test behind them. Belkin’s figure compares its product with tempered glass protectors; ZAGG’s figure refers to traditional glass screen protection and a third-party lab test described by ZAGG. Neither listing supplies a shared test method and product set that would support ranking one against the other.

A protector can reduce some risk, but it cannot guarantee that a phone screen will survive every impact. Belkin’s warranty document says proper installation and use can help reduce the chance of device damage after a drop or impact, while also stating that no screen protector can eliminate the possibility of damage in every such situation. Its warranty document, updated August 2021, describes conditional coverage and regional differences: new products have product-life coverage outside Asia, Australia, and New Zealand, and two-year coverage in those regions; replacement products receive the longer of the original warranty period or 30 days.
