The Lenovo Legion 5 15IAX11 has the display and graphics options to target 1440p-class gaming, but the family name alone does not tell you how a particular configuration performs. Lenovo lists a 15.3-inch 2560 × 1600 OLED screen and 115W RTX 5060 or RTX 5070 Laptop GPU options. Those are manufacturer specifications, not proof of game frame rates: the available independent review listing does not provide benchmark results. Treat this as a configuration-aware, specification-based assessment rather than a hands-on performance review.
What “1440p” means on this laptop
Lenovo specifies a 15.3-inch WQXGA OLED panel with a native resolution of 2560 × 1600. That is 16:10 and has more vertical pixels than the familiar 2560 × 1440 16:9 resolution. It is fair to call the Legion a 1440p-class gaming laptop, but its exact native resolution is 2560 × 1600.
The July 27, 2026 Lenovo family specification lists a 165Hz refresh rate, 100% DCI-P3 color coverage, 500-nit typical SDR brightness, and 1000-nit HDR peak brightness. It also lists NVIDIA G-SYNC and Advanced Optimus. These specifications suggest a screen suited to high-refresh gaming and wide-gamut content, but they do not establish measured color accuracy, response times, HDR behavior in games, or real-world brightness. The panel is glossy, so reflections may matter in a bright room.

Which configuration are you considering?
The 15IAX11 is a product family, not one fixed parts list. Lenovo’s July 2026 specification lists three processor choices and two graphics options. Its specific US machine type 83VK0067US pairs a Core Ultra 7 251HX with the RTX 5060; do not assume that processor, memory, or storage applies to every regional configuration.
| Option or example | Published specification | What it means for a buyer |
|---|---|---|
| Processor family options | Intel Core 7 245HX (14 cores/14 threads), Core Ultra 7 251HX (18 cores/18 threads), or Core Ultra 9 290HX Plus (24 cores/24 threads) | Check the exact machine type and local product listing; the family name does not identify the CPU. |
| RTX 5060 Laptop GPU | 8GB GDDR7; 115W TGP — Lenovo, 2026 | The lower-tier listed GPU option. No comparable sourced game benchmark is available here. |
| RTX 5070 Laptop GPU | 12GB GDDR7; 115W TGP — Lenovo, 2026 | Offers 4GB more listed graphics memory than the RTX 5060 option, but that alone does not quantify its frame-rate advantage. |
| US example: machine type 83VK0067US | Core Ultra 7 251HX, RTX 5060 8GB, one 16GB DDR5-5600 SODIMM, 512GB M.2 2242 PCIe 4.0 SSD, 80Wh battery, WQXGA OLED | This is one documented US configuration, not a universal specification or a guarantee of current availability. |

RTX 5060 or RTX 5070: which should you choose?
Choose based on the exact price and workload
Lenovo lists both GPUs at 115W TGP, with 8GB GDDR7 on the RTX 5060 and 12GB GDDR7 on the RTX 5070. The extra graphics memory on the 5070 may be relevant to demanding games and higher-resolution textures, but the specification does not establish how much faster it is in any particular title. Do not treat the shared TGP figure as evidence that the GPUs perform alike.

For a meaningful buying decision, compare the price of the exact machine types available in your region, then look for independent results that identify the GPU, CPU, memory, performance profile, game version, resolution, and settings. A result from an RTX 5060 model cannot stand in for the RTX 5070 configuration. If you mostly intend to play at native 2560 × 1600, prioritize evidence at that resolution; tests at lower render resolutions or with upscaling answer a different question.

What the available independent review does—and does not—show
NotebookSPEC published a video review on August 2, 2026, identifying its machine as type 83VK004ATA and listing sections on test results, cooling and upgrades, games, screen, and other topics. The indexed description does not provide the actual benchmark figures, temperatures, fan-noise measurements, or battery results. It therefore cannot support a quantitative claim here about frame rates, sustained performance, acoustics, or runtime. Its listed 79,990 THB is tied to that Thai-market model and publication date, not a current or globally applicable price.

Can you upgrade the memory and SSD?
Memory
Lenovo lists two SODIMM slots and a family maximum of up to 32GB DDR5-5600. The 83VK0067US example is listed with one 16GB DDR5-5600 SODIMM, but memory fitted at purchase can vary by machine type and market. Confirm the installed modules and the exact machine’s supported configuration before buying an upgrade.

Storage
Lenovo documents two M.2 positions: an M.2 2242 PCIe 5.0 x4 slot and an M.2 2280 PCIe 4.0 x4 slot. The PSREF says the system supports two SSDs and identifies the second slot as available for user self-expansion. Check the exact machine type, drive length, interface, and installation guidance before choosing a drive; the family specification does not establish compatibility for a particular SSD model.

Lenovo lists an 80Wh battery and publishes two maximum test claims: 9.6 hours in MobileMark 30 at 250 nits, and 12.5 hours of local 1080p video playback at 150 nits. Lenovo cautions that these approximate maximums vary with configuration, use, software, wireless, power settings, and brightness. They describe the stated test workloads, not gaming runtime; they should not be used to promise how long a gaming session will last unplugged.

Verdict: a promising screen and upgrade path, but verify performance by SKU
On paper, the Legion 5 15IAX11 combines a sharp, high-refresh 2560 × 1600 OLED display with a choice of RTX 5060 or RTX 5070 Laptop graphics, two listed SSD positions, and replaceable SODIMM memory. Whether it is a good 1440p-class gaming purchase depends on the exact CPU/GPU configuration and its local price. The published specifications support the category fit; without sourced, configuration-matched test results, they do not establish actual frame rates, cooling quality, or value against competing machines.
