The best gaming mouse is the one whose shape, size and controls suit your hand and the games you play—not the one with the largest DPI number. Start with fit and grip, then weigh movement, buttons, connection, power and software. The Logitech G PRO X SUPERLIGHT 2 and Razer Viper V3 Pro are two lightweight wireless options to compare, not universal winners.
Start with hand fit, grip and shape
Before comparing sensor ceilings, consider how the mouse sits in your hand and how you hold it. Hand size and grip preference affect which shapes feel natural; left- or right-hand use can also narrow the choices. An esports label does not establish that a particular mouse will fit you.
If possible, handle a candidate before buying or check its dimensions and return policy for your region. Comfort is personal, and the available comparisons do not establish which model will suit a particular hand.

Compare weight and controls against your games
A lighter mouse may appeal to players who prefer less weight during movement, but lightness by itself does not prove better aim or comfort. Compare button count and placement with the games and tasks you actually play: extra controls help only when they are useful and easy for you to reach.

Understand sensor and polling specifications
DPI (dots per inch), often also called CPI (counts per inch), describes how much cursor movement the sensor reports for a given physical movement. A high maximum gives an adjustment range; it does not show that you need to use that setting or that it will improve your aim.
Polling rate is how often a mouse reports its position to the computer. Logitech lists the G PRO X SUPERLIGHT 2 as supporting up to 8 kHz, but a high maximum is not automatically a practical advantage for every player. Tom’s Guide says 1,000 Hz is already plenty for competitive gaming and characterizes the difference above that as minimal for most users, while noting professional esports as a possible exception. Treat that as the guide’s editorial view, not a universal rule.

Check connection, power and configuration
- Connection: Decide whether wireless is important to you, and check the included receiver or connection options in the current listing. The Logitech model is specified as LIGHTSPEED wireless.
- Battery: Look up runtime for the exact model and configuration you are considering; no comparable battery figures are established here.
- Software: Logitech says G HUB can calibrate the named mouse’s sensor, including separate X/Y sensitivity and lift-off tolerance. Decide whether those adjustments are useful to you.
