The right Fitbit depends on which compromise you will notice every day. Choose Inspire 3 if low price and infrequent charging matter most; choose Charge 6 for a slim tracker with built-in GPS and electrical sensors; choose Versa 4 for a smartwatch-style screen and GPS without Sense 2’s broader sensor set; and choose Sense 2 if cEDA stress-response tracking and ECG-app compatibility justify the highest listed price. Battery figures below are Google’s advertised estimates, not independent tests, and actual runtime changes with settings, environment, and enabled features.
Fitbit models at a glance
The four devices occupy two form factors. Inspire 3 and Charge 6 are band-style trackers designed to stay light and unobtrusive. Versa 4 and Sense 2 have smartwatch-style cases and larger displays. The table uses official US list prices observed on Google Store technical pages in 2026; product pages also showed promotions that can expire, so verify the current price before buying.
| Model | Official US list price observed | Advertised battery | What distinguishes it |
|---|---|---|---|
| Fitbit Inspire 3 | $99.95 | Up to 10 days | Slim band; SpO2 and skin-temperature-variation features have availability and usage limitations. |
| Fitbit Charge 6 | $159.95 | Up to 7 days | Band-style tracker with built-in GPS and electrical sensors compatible with the ECG and EDA Scan apps. |
| Fitbit Versa 4 | $199.95 | 6+ days | Smartwatch-style display, built-in GPS, SpO2 sensors, and a heart-rate sensor. |
| Fitbit Sense 2 | $249.95 | 6+ days | Smartwatch-style device with cEDA body-response tracking, ECG-app compatibility, and built-in GPS. |
“Up to” and “6+” are manufacturer claims. They should be treated as best-case estimates rather than a promise that every owner will receive that many days between charges.
Start with the battery life you actually need
What the advertised figures mean
Google advertises up to 10 days for Inspire 3, up to 7 days for Charge 6, and 6+ days for both Sense 2 and Versa 4. Google says usage, settings, environment, and enabled features affect actual battery life. A person who mainly checks steps can therefore see a different result from someone who records GPS workouts, keeps the display always on, or enables continuous sensing.
#1 Best Overall

[IMPORTANT] The blood pressure measurement feature must be downloaded and enabled within the app.
- 【Call and message notifications】: You can receive text messages and SNS notifications (including Facebook, Twitter, WhatsApp and Instagram) directly on your wrist. When your phone's Bluetooth is turned on, if you receive a message, the watch will vibrate to remind you and you can view the specific message. This function is very practical whether in work or life.
- 【Working Time】: Smart Fitness Watch is the best partner at work, you can set it on the mobile APP ‘Runmefit’: up to 5 sets of alarms, you don’t have to worry about being late for appointments or forgetting important things. You can set drinking Water Reminders and Sedentary Reminders to establish a healthy way of working.
Features that can shorten runtime
- Always-on display: keeping the screen lit consumes more power than raising your wrist or tapping to wake it. This is especially relevant to the display-oriented Versa 4 and Sense 2, and to Charge 6 when that option is enabled.
- GPS sessions: built-in GPS records movement without relying on a phone, but tracking a route uses more energy than ordinary step counting.
- SpO2 measurements: oxygen-saturation sensing adds work during the periods in which it operates.
- cEDA on Sense 2: continuous electrodermal-activity sensing can require more frequent charging; Google notes that cEDA use may affect battery life.
Compare the claims with your routine, not just the largest number. If you want to charge as rarely as possible and do not need GPS, Inspire 3 has the longest advertised interval and the lowest listed price in this group. If you routinely record outdoor workouts, the shorter claim for Charge 6 may still be preferable because its GPS is built in.
Choose the form factor before the sensor list
Band-style trackers: Inspire 3 and Charge 6
A band is narrow and light, so it is less obtrusive for sleep and all-day wear. Its screen is intended for glanceable information rather than a watch-like interface. Inspire 3 is the straightforward choice when price and battery life lead the decision. Charge 6 costs more and advertises fewer days, but adds built-in GPS and electrical sensors that work with Fitbit’s ECG and EDA Scan apps where those apps are available.
Smartwatch-style devices: Versa 4 and Sense 2
Versa 4 and Sense 2 present information on a larger watch-style display and both include built-in GPS. Versa 4 is the lower-priced way into this form factor if you do not need Sense 2’s cEDA and ECG-related capabilities. Sense 2 is the most expensive option here and is aimed at readers who will actively use its broader stated sensor set rather than merely wanting a larger screen.

Match health and fitness features to your question
Built-in GPS
Charge 6, Versa 4, and Sense 2 have built-in GPS. That allows a recorded walk, run, or ride to capture route information without carrying a phone for GPS data. Inspire 3 is the outlier in this comparison: choose it only if phone-assisted tracking or no route map is acceptable.
Heart-rate sensing and electrical sensors
All four products are designed around continuous activity and heart-rate information, but the electrical-sensor wording is specific to Charge 6 and Sense 2. Their sensors are compatible with Fitbit’s ECG app, subject to country and app availability. An ECG-compatible consumer sensor is not a substitute for clinical evaluation, and an app reading should not be used to diagnose or treat a condition. Seek professional care for symptoms or medical decisions.

cEDA body-response tracking on Sense 2
Sense 2 adds cEDA, or continuous electrodermal-activity, sensing. Google describes the feature this way on its official product page: “A cEDA sensor helps identify potential signs of stress so you can reflect on your emotions, take action and go on with your day.” That is a reflection and awareness feature, not a diagnosis of stress, anxiety, or another illness. Because cEDA can affect runtime, it is most useful for someone who intends to review body-response trends and act on them.
EDA Scan on Charge 6
Charge 6’s electrical sensors are also compatible with the EDA Scan app. EDA Scan is a guided measurement rather than the continuous cEDA approach described for Sense 2. If you want occasional prompted scans but prefer a band and a lower listed price, Charge 6 is the closer fit.

Inspire 3 lists SpO2 and skin-temperature-variation features, and Versa 4 lists SpO2 sensors. Availability can differ by market, and the required app or conditions of use can limit when results appear. These wellness features are not intended to diagnose or treat medical conditions. Treat them as informational trends and confirm regional support before purchase.
A practical decision process
- Set your charging ceiling. If you want the longest advertised interval and can live without built-in GPS, begin with Inspire 3. If six or seven days is acceptable, continue comparing the added sensors and display style.
- Decide whether GPS must be on the device. Select Charge 6, Versa 4, or Sense 2 for built-in GPS. Do not pay for a larger model solely to obtain route recording if the band form factor suits you.
- Identify the health feature you will actually use. For ECG-app compatibility in a band, consider Charge 6; for cEDA plus ECG-app compatibility, consider Sense 2. If you only need general activity, heart-rate, and display functions, Versa 4 may avoid paying for sensors you will not use.
- Choose the display experience. Pick Inspire 3 or Charge 6 for a slim tracker profile. Pick Versa 4 or Sense 2 when reading information and interacting on a larger smartwatch-style screen matters.
- Check the price against the feature you selected. The listed prices rise from Inspire 3 to Charge 6, Versa 4, and Sense 2. A higher price is justified only if the corresponding GPS, display, cEDA, or ECG-related capability matters to you.
- Verify compatibility and regional support. Check your phone’s operating system, your country, and the current Fitbit/Google Health app requirements before ordering. Sensor and app availability varies by location.
Model-by-model guidance
Fitbit Inspire 3: best starting point for battery and budget
Inspire 3 is the clearest match for two priorities at once: the lowest observed US list price in this comparison and Google’s longest advertised battery claim, up to 10 days. Its slim tracker design suits people who want basic activity and wellness information without a watch-sized device. The trade-off is that it does not provide the built-in GPS, ECG-app-compatible electrical sensors, or smartwatch-style display found on the other choices discussed here. Its SpO2 and skin-temperature-variation features may not be available in every market and should not be treated as medical measurements.
Choose Inspire 3 when your answer to “How often do I want to charge?” is “as rarely as practical,” and when phone-assisted location tracking is acceptable. Do not choose it solely because of the 10-day figure if you plan to use power-hungry settings continuously; that figure remains an estimate.

- Long battery life: Google Fitbit Air’s battery lasts up to a week, and fast charging gets you one day of battery life in just five minutes[6,7]
Fitbit Charge 6: the feature-dense band
Charge 6 is the middle ground for readers who want a band rather than a watch but still need built-in GPS. Its advertised battery is up to 7 days, and its electrical sensors are compatible with the ECG and EDA Scan apps where supported. Those additions make it more capable for workout recording and selected heart-related measurements than Inspire 3. The compromises are a higher listed price, a shorter advertised battery interval, and more frequent charging when always-on display, GPS, or SpO2 is used.

Pick the symptom - the matching free tool is one click away.
Choose Charge 6 when GPS and occasional guided electrical-sensor scans matter more than maximizing days between charges. ECG-app compatibility does not make the device a clinical diagnostic instrument.
Fitbit Versa 4: smartwatch style without Sense 2’s extra sensors
Versa 4 offers a larger smartwatch-style experience, built-in GPS, SpO2 sensors, and a heart-rate sensor. Google advertises 6+ days of battery life. It is a sensible comparison point for someone who wants watch-like presentation and route tracking but does not need Sense 2’s stated cEDA and ECG-app features. The always-on display and GPS can reduce its real-world runtime, so the 6+ day claim should not be read as a guaranteed result under those settings.
Choose Versa 4 when the screen and watch form factor are central, while cEDA and ECG-app compatibility are not deciding factors.
Fitbit Sense 2: the broadest sensor set here
Sense 2 combines smartwatch styling, built-in GPS, ECG-app compatibility, and cEDA body-response tracking. Its 6+ day advertised battery is the same headline interval as Versa 4, but cEDA, always-on display, and SpO2 use can require more frequent charging. It also carries the highest observed US list price in this comparison.

Compatibility is a purchase requirement, not an afterthought. Google’s Inspire 3 technical page lists setup requirements of iOS 16.4 or newer and Android 11 or newer. Requirements can differ by model, app, and later software changes, so check the current technical page for the exact device you are considering. Also confirm that the Fitbit and Google Health apps required for setup and sensor features are available in your country.
ECG app access varies by country. SpO2 and skin-temperature features can also be unavailable in some markets. A model can therefore have the hardware described in its specification while a particular app or measurement is not enabled for your location. Treat regional availability as a condition of the recommendation, not as a minor footnote.
How to preserve the advertised battery range
- Turn off always-on display if glanceable, on-demand wake is sufficient.
- Use built-in GPS for workouts that need route data, then end the session when the workout is complete.
- Review whether continuous SpO2 or cEDA is necessary every day; disable or limit features you do not use.
- Keep the device and app software current, because setup and feature behavior can change with updates.
- Plan charging around your actual routine rather than assuming the maximum claim. Sleep tracking, long GPS sessions, and frequent screen interaction all increase consumption.
These steps cannot guarantee a particular number of days. They simply reduce the settings most likely to move actual runtime below Google’s advertised estimate.
Common buying mistakes
Choosing by the biggest battery number alone
Inspire 3’s up-to-10-day claim is attractive, but it lacks built-in GPS and the electrical-sensor capabilities available on Charge 6 and Sense 2. A longer interval is not better if you will need a phone for every route or wanted a specific sensor feature.

Assuming a sensor is a medical test
ECG compatibility, SpO2, skin-temperature variation, EDA Scan, and cEDA are consumer wellness capabilities with regional and app limitations. They can support awareness and trend review, but they are not a replacement for a clinician, a medical-grade test, or treatment advice.
Ignoring the display trade-off
Versa 4 and Sense 2 offer smartwatch-style displays, but a larger or always-on screen can increase charging frequency. Conversely, a band may meet battery goals while feeling too limited for someone who wants on-device interaction. Decide the form factor before treating battery claims as directly comparable.
Treating list prices as permanent street prices
The prices in the table are official US list prices observed on Google Store technical pages, not market averages or guaranteed sale prices. Promotional prices were also displayed and can expire. Confirm the live price, included accessories, return terms, and regional availability before purchase.
