The best Cyberpunk 2077 alternative depends on which part of the game you want to keep. Choose Deus Ex: Mankind Divided for cyberpunk atmosphere, stealth, augmentations, and flexible approaches; Starfield for science-fiction character creation and exploration; or The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt for an open-world RPG structure when you are willing to move from science fiction to fantasy.

That distinction matters if your favorite activity is simply driving or wandering through a massive city between missions. If your favorite activity is entering a guarded location, deciding whether to sneak, fight, or use an augmentation, and accepting consequences for your choices, the difference in scale may be an advantage rather than a defect.

Starfield should not be presented as a neon-city replacement. Its listing does not describe a cyberpunk society, cybernetic augmentation culture, or a Night City-style urban sandbox. Choose it when “science-fiction RPG with exploration” is the phrase that best describes your goal, not when “I want the same cyberpunk atmosphere” is the requirement.

If your priority is creating a character
