The right exchange for AED is the one that can legally serve your UAE account, accepts AED from a bank account in your name, and lets you withdraw AED back to that same account at a cost and speed you can verify. Compare the complete route—not just a headline trading fee: exchange fees, your bank’s transfer charge, the conversion spread, trading commission, withdrawal minimums, transfer limits, name-matching rules and the provider’s current processing estimate.
Availability depends on your UAE residence, the provider entity attached to your account and the payment method shown after login. The examples below are current official terms or announcements from named providers, not a universal ranking. Check the live funding screen and the applicable regulator register immediately before sending money.
Start with six checks before opening or funding an account
AED support is not a single feature. An exchange may advertise UAE service while a particular account, emirate, provider entity or payment method is unavailable. Use these checks in order.

1. Confirm AED availability for your exact account
Sign in and look for an AED deposit method and an AED withdrawal method. Confirm that both are available to your country of residence and to the legal entity named in your account documents. A general UAE landing page is not proof that your account can use local bank rails.

2. Identify the regulated entity and activity
Record the provider’s legal entity, regulator, jurisdiction and permitted activity. A statement such as “licensed in the UAE” is incomplete unless it says which regulator supervises which entity and which activity. Check the current register rather than relying on an old comparison article or a logo displayed on a website.
3. Price the complete transaction
Separate five possible costs:
- an exchange deposit fee;
- your bank’s outgoing-transfer fee;
- the exchange’s AED-to-crypto conversion spread;
- the trading fee charged when you buy or sell; and
- an exchange withdrawal fee, plus any receiving-bank charge.
Some providers publish a zero fee for one leg while your bank or the exchange’s quoted rate still creates a cost. The official material reviewed here does not establish a comparable spread or trading-fee ranking across providers.
4. Capture the live limits and estimate
Write down the minimum, maximum, daily or transaction limit, currency, business-hour window and estimated processing time shown for your selected method. Estimates are not guaranteed service levels. A limit can also vary by verification status or account risk controls.

Find out whether the funding account must be in your name, whether a third-party transfer is rejected, whether a small verification deposit is required and which bank-account details are accepted. Save the beneficiary name and IBAN exactly as displayed; do not alter them to make a transfer look more familiar.
6. Prove the exit route before depositing
Open the AED withdrawal screen and verify that you can add and verify your own UAE bank account. Check the minimum and expected processing time. This simple check prevents a situation in which you can fund or trade but cannot return AED to the account you intend to use.
Understand the UAE regulatory picture
UAE regulation is divided by activity and jurisdiction. A virtual-asset framework, a Dubai virtual-asset rulebook and a Central Bank exchange-business regulation are not interchangeable licences.

UAE Capital Market Authority framework
In an announcement dated 13 April 2026, the UAE Capital Market Authority described a virtual-assets framework with five core modules and eight regulated activities. The announcement presents the structure of the framework; it does not establish that every exchange is licensed or that every activity is available to every resident. Ask the provider which entity and activity cover your AED service, then verify that entry with the authority’s current register.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problems2Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitches3Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errorsDubai VARA rules
Dubai’s Virtual Assets Regulatory Authority (VARA) said on 19 May 2025 that Version 2.0 of its activity rulebooks included exchange services. It described a 30-day transition period, with full compliance required by 19 June 2025. VARA oversees virtual-asset provision, use and exchange in and from Dubai and publishes a licensed-VASP list. That scope should not be treated as a licence covering every emirate, every customer or every financial activity. Check the current listing and the specific permitted activity.
Central Bank exchange-business regulation
The Central Bank of the UAE’s Exchange Business Regulation C 7/2025 took effect on 26 June 2025 and places UAE exchange-business activity under a Central Bank licensing regime. This is a distinct scope from virtual-asset activity. A Central Bank exchange-house licence alone does not prove authorisation to provide crypto-exchange services.
Current official AED examples
The following table records what the named official pages or announcements state. “Not stated” means the cited material did not provide a comparable figure; it is not an estimate.
| Provider and scope | AED deposits | AED withdrawals | Published fees | Limits and timing | Important controls or caveats |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Binance Dubai; announcement dated 2 June 2026 | Eligible Binance Dubai users can deposit AED directly from a UAE bank account. | Eligible users can withdraw AED to a bank account. | Zero deposit fee; fixed AED 10 withdrawal fee in that announcement. | Not stated in the cited announcement. | Regional-availability caveat. Treat the figures as the dated announcement’s terms and verify them in your account. |
| OKX; AED instructions updated 2 September 2026 | Local UAE bank transfer. The manual route uses a unique beneficiary IBAN; a Simple bank transfer option appears when eligible. | To a verified recipient bank account. | No OKX bank-transfer deposit fee; your bank may charge. No OKX withdrawal-process fee stated. | Minimum withdrawal AED 200. AED 50,000 or less: processed within three business days; larger amounts: up to five business days, during listed UAE business hours. Provider downtime can delay a transfer. | Only local UAE banks are supported for this deposit route. Third-party deposits are rejected. |
| Rain Trading Limited; cited support guidance | Local AED transfer support is described, but the cited material does not state a comparable deposit fee. | Full amount credited to a UAE bank account. | No withdrawal fee for local AED transfers. | A separate help article says a withdrawal to a personal AED bank account should arrive within one business day. | The guidance expressly applies to customers of Rain Trading Limited. Confirm eligibility and the live method in your account. |
Binance Dubai: what the announcement does—and does not—say
The 2 June 2026 announcement says eligible Binance Dubai users can move AED directly between the exchange and a UAE bank account. It lists zero deposit fees and a fixed AED 10 withdrawal fee. It does not provide a universal processing timetable in the cited text, and it includes a regional availability caveat. Therefore, use the announcement as a dated reference, not as a promise that every UAE account has the same rail or fee today.
OKX: two deposit paths and explicit withdrawal conditions
OKX’s 2 September 2026 deposit instructions describe a manual transfer to a unique beneficiary IBAN and a Simple bank transfer option for eligible accounts. Only local UAE banks are supported for this route. A transfer from someone else’s account is rejected, and OKX says it does not charge a bank-transfer deposit fee; your bank may still charge its own fee. The selected method displays the applicable payment limits and processing details.

Its withdrawal instructions, updated the same day, set a minimum of AED 200 and say the withdrawal process has no OKX fee. The destination bank account must be verified. Amounts of AED 50,000 or less are processed within three business days; larger amounts may take up to five business days, during the listed UAE business hours. Provider downtime can extend the wait.
Rain Trading Limited: keep the entity scope precise
Rain’s support information for Rain Trading Limited says local AED transfers have no withdrawal fee and that the full amount is credited to a UAE bank account. A separate help article says a withdrawal to a personal AED bank account should arrive within one business day: Rain’s AED withdrawal instructions. This is provider guidance, not an independently measured speed, and it applies to Rain Trading Limited customers.
How to verify an account before sending AED
- Complete identity and residence checks. Make sure the account shows your UAE residence and the correct provider entity. If the service is unavailable after verification, do not send money to an alternate beneficiary supplied through an unofficial channel.
- Open both funding screens. Record the exact AED deposit method, beneficiary name, IBAN, reference or memo, minimum and maximum. Then open AED withdrawal and check whether your personal UAE bank account can be added and verified.
- Match names exactly. Use a bank account held in the name required by the provider. OKX explicitly rejects third-party deposits; other providers may apply their own name-matching rules.
- Check the bank’s side of the transfer. Ask your UAE bank whether the transfer type carries a fee, a daily limit or a cut-off time. A provider’s “no fee” statement cannot waive a charge imposed by your bank.
- Save evidence. Keep the displayed beneficiary details, fee screen, limits and transaction reference. Terms can change, and the record helps support resolve a misrouted or delayed transfer.
- Use a small first transfer. After confirming the beneficiary and reference, send an amount small enough to test the route. Wait for the deposit to appear before sending the full amount.
How to deposit AED by bank transfer
Manual beneficiary transfer
This is the clearest pattern when an exchange gives you a unique beneficiary IBAN.
What’s actually slowing this PC down?
Pick the symptom - the matching free tool is one click away.
- In the exchange, choose Deposit, select AED, and choose Bank transfer or the manual-transfer option.
- Copy the beneficiary name, IBAN, bank name and any required reference exactly. Do not use an old saved beneficiary if the exchange generated a new one.
- In your UAE bank app, create or select the beneficiary, enter the exact AED amount and include the required reference.
- Review the recipient and fee, authorise the transfer and save the bank confirmation.
- Return to the exchange and monitor the AED balance and transaction status. Do not assume that a bank “sent” status means the exchange has credited the funds.
OKX’s manual route uses a unique beneficiary IBAN and supports only local UAE banks. Its instructions also say third-party deposits are rejected. Other providers may use different beneficiary details, so follow the screen for your own account.
Simple bank transfer
Where an exchange displays a Simple bank transfer option, select it only if your account is eligible. Follow the in-app bank-selection and authorisation flow, confirm the bank-account name, and review the shown limit and processing estimate before approving. A method appearing for one account does not establish that it is available to all UAE residents.
Deposit checklist
- Currency is AED, not another dirham or foreign-currency route.
- Sending bank is a local UAE bank accepted by the exchange.
- Sender name matches the exchange-account requirement.
- Reference, beneficiary and IBAN are copied without changes.
- Amount is within the live minimum and maximum.
- Your bank fee and cut-off time are understood.
How to withdraw AED to your bank
- Open Withdraw, choose AED and select the bank-transfer method.
- Add your personal UAE bank account using the exact legal name and account details required.
- Complete any bank-account verification step. OKX requires the recipient account to be verified before withdrawal.
- Enter an amount above the provider’s minimum. For OKX, the stated minimum is AED 200.
- Review the exchange fee, the net amount you will receive, the destination account and the processing estimate.
- Confirm the withdrawal and retain the transaction ID. Check your bank during the provider’s stated processing window and business hours.
For OKX, the cited terms say withdrawals of AED 50,000 or less are processed within three business days and larger amounts may take up to five business days; downtime can delay transfers. Rain’s cited guidance says a personal AED-bank-account withdrawal should arrive within one business day. Neither statement is a guarantee or an independently measured market comparison.

Calculate the real cost instead of comparing one fee
Use this worksheet for each provider and payment method:
| Cost or value | What to record | Why it matters |
|---|---|---|
| Deposit fee | Exchange charge shown on the AED funding screen. | A zero exchange fee may still leave a bank transfer charge. |
| Bank transfer fee | Your bank’s outgoing or receiving charge, including any cut-off or urgent-transfer surcharge. | This cost is outside the exchange’s fee schedule. |
| Conversion spread | The AED-to-crypto or crypto-to-AED rate compared with a transparent market reference at the same moment. | The spread can exceed a headline commission, especially for an instant-convert quote. |
| Trading fee | The commission for the order type and volume you will use. | Funding cheaply does not make the trade cheap. |
| Withdrawal fee | Exchange fee and any receiving-bank fee. | Compare the net AED delivered, not only the listed fee. |
| Minimum and limits | Smallest withdrawal, per-transfer cap and daily cap. | A low fee is less useful if your intended amount cannot be moved in one transfer. |
For a simple round trip, estimate: bank deposit fee + exchange deposit fee + conversion/trading cost + exchange withdrawal fee + receiving-bank fee. Record the quote time because spreads and crypto prices change continuously. The available official material does not provide an exchange-wide spread study, actual bank-rejection rate or independently tested speed, so do not label one provider the cheapest or fastest on these examples alone.
Interpret limits, timing and delays correctly
Processing estimates are windows, not guarantees
“Within one business day,” “within three business days” and “up to five business days” describe provider estimates under stated conditions. Weekends, UAE bank holidays, cut-off times, provider downtime and an account-review step can alter when the money appears. Treat the estimate as a planning window and keep a cash buffer if you need the funds for a deadline.
When a deposit is rejected
- Third-party sender: OKX says deposits from another person’s account are rejected. Confirm the sender name before retrying.
- Wrong beneficiary or reference: Compare the bank confirmation with the current deposit screen. Contact support with the transaction reference rather than sending a second transfer blindly.
- Unsupported bank: OKX’s cited route supports local UAE banks only. A foreign-bank transfer may fail even when the currency is AED.
- Amount outside the live limit: Use the limit displayed for the selected method; do not assume the limit in a different method or an older help page applies.
When a withdrawal is delayed
- Check whether the destination account is verified and in the required name.
- Compare the amount with the provider’s minimum and threshold schedule.
- Check the provider’s status notice and the stated UAE business hours.
- Keep the withdrawal ID and bank statement ready for support. Do not create duplicate withdrawals while the first is pending.
Choose according to your actual use case
You need frequent AED in-and-out transfers
Prioritise a verified withdrawal route, transparent limits and a predictable bank-account control. Test a small deposit and withdrawal before relying on the exchange for regular cash movement. A slightly higher published fee may be less important than a route that reliably returns funds to your own account.
You make occasional, larger withdrawals
Read the threshold schedule carefully. OKX’s cited terms distinguish amounts at or below AED 50,000 from larger withdrawals, with different maximum processing estimates. Check whether your bank or the exchange imposes a per-transfer or daily cap that requires multiple transfers, and calculate the total fees for that pattern.
Quick wins for a faster PC:
Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problemsFix Now →Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitchesFind Drivers →You care most about the lowest visible fee
Start with the net AED delivered after bank fees, spread, trading commission and withdrawal charge. Binance Dubai’s dated announcement lists zero deposit fees and AED 10 withdrawals; OKX says it charges no bank-transfer deposit or withdrawal-process fee in the cited instructions; Rain Trading Limited says local AED withdrawals have no fee. These statements cover different scopes and do not reveal each provider’s conversion spread or trading cost.
You live outside Dubai
Do not infer eligibility from a Dubai-specific VARA status. Confirm the provider entity serving your emirate and the exact AED method available to your account. Dubai’s virtual-asset rulebook and the Central Bank’s exchange-business regulation address different scopes.
Keep a decision record
Before funding, save a dated note containing the provider entity, regulator and register reference, deposit and withdrawal screenshots, fees, bank charges, minimums, limits, processing estimates and the account-name rule. Recheck it whenever the exchange changes its payment method or you change banks. This habit turns a vague “supports AED” claim into a verifiable choice and makes discrepancies easier to resolve.
