The right charger for a Vivo phone is the one matched to your exact model and sales region—not simply the adapter with the highest wattage or a plug that happens to fit. Find your model, check Vivo’s specification or user guide for its charging ceiling and voltage/current profile, confirm whether a charger is included locally, and use a cable rated and specified for that setup.

Vivo’s own device guidance says: “To ensure charging safety, use the charger and USB cable compatible with your device.” That matters because Vivo phones use different FlashCharge limits and adapter profiles. The examples documented by Vivo range from 33W on the X60 Pro to 120W on the X90. If you are searching for “which charger is compatible with my Vivo phone?” or “what charger and cable do I need?”, the answer starts with the exact model number.

Start with the exact Vivo model and region

Before buying anything, identify the complete model name and the country or market version. Names such as X200, X200 FE, X100 Pro, X90, X60 Pro and V25 do not share one universal charger specification. A phone sold in one region can also have different box contents from the same model sold elsewhere.

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.

Where to find the model

  • Open Settings and look for About phone, Device information or a similarly named page.
  • Check the original box, purchase receipt or the label on the phone’s SIM tray area if your model has one.
  • Record the exact suffix, storage version and market when shown. An X200 FE, for example, is not interchangeable with an X200 specification simply because the names are similar.
  • Save a screenshot or note of the model before shopping. It prevents confusing a phone family name with the specific regional variant.

Why the region matters

Vivo’s X200 FE specification says the charger is included in overseas packages except Europe and is not included in Europe. Do not assume that a missing adapter means the seller forgot it, or that a package photographed in another country reflects your local bundle. Check the regional product page and the contents printed on your own box.

Before releasing your hand, make sure the phone is firmly fixed. (Not applicable to rough walls, wooden surfaces, and other uneven surfaces)

Region can affect more than whether a brick is in the carton. The supplied plug must suit your mains outlet, and the local product page is the best place to confirm the part number and included cable. If a retailer imports a phone, compare its stated market with the market shown on Vivo’s page before ordering accessories.

Read the charging specification, not just the wattage

Wattage is calculated from voltage multiplied by current. Two adapters can have similar or even identical wattage labels while using different voltage and current combinations. Vivo’s published examples demonstrate why the complete electrical profile matters:

Vivo model Manufacturer’s stated maximum Adapter profile shown by Vivo Additional package or behavior note
Vivo X60 Pro Up to 33W FlashCharge 11V/3A The official page lists a Type-C to USB cable in the box.
Vivo V25 Up to 44W 11V/4A Vivo says charging power adjusts dynamically; the charging figures are described under laboratory conditions.
Vivo X200 Up to 90W FlashCharge 11V/8.2A Vivo says actual charging power is dynamically adjusted as the scene changes and is subject to actual use.
Vivo X200 FE Up to 90W FlashCharge 11V/8.2A Charger contents vary by region; Europe is listed as a market where the charger is not included.
Vivo X100 Pro Up to 100W 20V/5A The 20V/5A profile differs from the 11V/8.2A profile shown for the 90W examples.
Vivo X90 Up to 120W FlashCharge 20V/6A A higher maximum does not establish compatibility with another Vivo model.

These are model specifications published by Vivo, not a rule for every phone in the range. Use the row for your exact model only as a starting point, then verify the current regional specification or manual. If your model is not listed, the correct cell is not known from these examples; do not fill the gap by guessing from a neighboring model.

Why the profile matters in practice

Consider the 90W X200 profile and the 100W X100 Pro profile. Their headline numbers are close, but Vivo lists 11V/8.2A for the X200 and 20V/5A for the X100 Pro. They are not interchangeable merely because both can be described as high-power charging. The same principle applies to the X60 Pro’s 11V/3A setup and the X90’s 20V/6A setup.

A charger label can list several output modes. Compare the complete list with the phone documentation rather than looking for one number that seems close. If the listing does not show voltage and current, or does not identify the compatible Vivo models, you do not have enough information to predict FlashCharge performance.

What to check on the replacement charger

1. Supported charging standard and profile

Look for the charging technology named for your phone, such as Vivo FlashCharge, and compare the adapter’s output lines with the model documentation. A listing that says only “90W” or “120W” is incomplete for a purchase decision. The output label should show the voltage and current combinations, and the seller should identify the device models or compatible regional part number when claiming FlashCharge support.

A phone and adapter negotiate an available charging mode. If the adapter does not provide the profile the phone expects, the phone may fall back to a lower mode even though the adapter has a larger headline rating. In some cases it may charge at ordinary USB speed rather than at the advertised FlashCharge rate.

2. Output, input and safety markings

Buy from a seller that clearly shows the adapter’s output specifications, model number, electrical safety markings and regional plug. Match the mains plug and voltage to your country. A travel adapter that changes the shape of a plug does not change the charger’s charging protocol or make an unsuitable adapter compatible.

Apple EarPods Headphones with USB-C Plug, Wired Ear Buds with Built-in Remote to Control Music, Phone Calls, and Volume
  • SUPERIOR COMFORT — Unlike traditional circular ear buds, the design of EarPods is defined by the geometry of the ear. Which makes them more comfortable for more people than any other ear bud–style headphones.
  • HIGH-QUALITY AUDIO — The speakers inside EarPods have been engineered to maximize sound output and minimize sound loss, which means you get high-quality audio.
  • BUILT-IN REMOTE — EarPods with USB-C plug also include a built-in remote that lets you adjust the volume, control the playback of music and video, and answer or end calls with a pinch of the cord.
  • COMPATIBILITY — Works with all devices that have a USB-C port.
  • INTEGRATED MICROPHONE — A built-in microphone precisely captures your voice while you’re on the phone, taking a FaceTime call, or summoning Siri — so you’re always heard loud and clear.

Check that the label is legible and that the package identifies the manufacturer. Be cautious when a listing uses stock photos but provides no close-up of the output label. Keep the receipt and packaging until you have tested the complete setup.

3. Genuine or verified-compatible part

If the original charger is lost or damaged, a model-matched Vivo FlashCharge charger is the most straightforward choice. If you choose an alternative, the listing should explicitly state compatibility with your exact model and region and provide complete output data. Avoid listings that use a generic Vivo photograph while omitting the part number, profile or cable information.

Choose the cable as carefully as the brick

The cable is part of the charging system. A connector that fits the phone can still be unable to carry the current needed for a high-power mode. Cable construction, connector type and any rating specified by Vivo or the adapter maker must agree with the phone and charger.

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.

Use the cable specified for your model

When Vivo includes a cable, keep it with the matching adapter. For example, the X60 Pro product information lists a Type-C to USB cable in the box. That description tells you what Vivo supplied for that package; it does not prove that every cable with a USB-C plug has the same capability.

For a replacement, match all of these details:

  • The phone-side connector and charger-side connector.
  • The cable type named in the phone or charger documentation.
  • Any current, wattage or charging-standard rating printed by the manufacturer.
  • The length and construction you need without relying on an unverified maximum claim.

Do not assume that a cable bundled with another phone is equivalent. Even if both ends fit, the supplied cable may have been selected for a different current profile. For a high-current setup such as the 11V/8.2A examples, use the cable identified for that charger or a replacement whose manufacturer explicitly confirms the same use.

Why a cheap cable can reduce speed

A cable with inadequate current handling, damaged conductors or poor connectors can cause a lower charging mode, intermittent charging or heat at the plug. A cable may also support data transfer while not supporting the current required by a high-power charging profile. If a replacement cable is not explicitly rated for the phone’s charger and charging mode, treat it as an ordinary charging cable rather than expecting maximum FlashCharge performance.

Inspect the cable after transport and storage. Kinks, crushed sections, looseness at either plug and fraying are reasons to replace it. A cable that works when held at one angle is not a reliable replacement, even if the phone eventually shows a charging icon.

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.

Understand what “up to” means

Vivo’s maximum figures are ceilings under specified conditions, not a constant rate from zero to full. The V25 information says charging power adjusts dynamically, and its charging data is presented under laboratory conditions. Vivo’s X200 specification similarly says actual charging power is dynamically adjusted as the scene changes and is subject to actual use.

Power can therefore change during a session as the battery fills, the phone warms, the screen is used, ambient temperature changes or the charger and cable negotiate a different mode. A 90W-compatible phone will not necessarily draw 90W throughout charging, and a higher-rated adapter does not force the phone to accept more power than its design allows.

Use the maximum number to confirm that an accessory is not obviously below the phone’s requirement, not as a promise about elapsed charging time. Two phones with different maximums may show similar real-world results in a particular session because temperature, battery level and use are different.

How to buy the right setup: a step-by-step process

  1. Identify the phone. Write down the full Vivo model and the country where it was sold.
  2. Open the official specification or user guide. Find the maximum charging power, named charging technology and any voltage/current or cable details.
  3. Check the package contents. Determine whether your regional box already included an adapter and cable. Pay particular attention to models whose contents vary by market, such as the X200 FE.
  4. Read the adapter label. Confirm the output profile, model number, plug type and safety markings. Do not approve a purchase from wattage alone.
  5. Match the cable. Confirm both connector ends and the current or charging rating required by the phone and adapter. Prefer the cable supplied for the model or one whose manufacturer explicitly states compatibility.
  6. Compare the complete bundle. Check charger, cable and phone as one system. A suitable adapter paired with an under-rated cable can still prevent the intended charging mode.
  7. Compare total value, not just the advertised number. A lower-priced brick may require a separate compatible cable, while a model-matched bundle may include both. Since package contents vary, calculate what you actually need before comparing offers.
  8. Buy from a source with a clear return policy. Keep the packaging and receipt until you have confirmed that the phone recognizes the intended charging mode and that the connectors remain cool and stable.

When a third-party charger is reasonable

A non-Vivo adapter can be acceptable when its manufacturer documents the exact output modes and explicitly supports the charging protocol needed by your model. It should also meet the electrical and plug requirements of your region. However, generic USB-C compatibility is not the same as FlashCharge compatibility. Without the model-specific profile, the phone may charge more slowly.

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.

For the least uncertainty, replace a missing high-speed setup with a Vivo FlashCharge charger and compatible USB cable identified for your model and local version. This is especially important for phones whose published profiles use high current, such as the 11V/8.2A examples for the X200 and X200 FE or the 20V/6A profile listed for the X90.

A third-party option is easier to evaluate when the product page provides a readable label, complete output table, exact phone compatibility and a return process. If any of those are missing, the apparent savings may not justify the risk of receiving an ordinary-speed accessory or an unsuitable regional plug.

Diagnose slow or inconsistent charging

The phone charges, but FlashCharge does not appear

  • Recheck the phone model and compare the adapter’s complete output profile with its official specification.
  • Substitute the cable supplied with the phone, if available. A cable mismatch is a common reason for falling back to a lower mode.
  • Inspect both connectors for lint, bent contacts, looseness or visible damage. Stop using a cable that is frayed or becomes hot.
  • Try charging with the screen off and the phone at a moderate temperature. Dynamic power management can reduce the instantaneous rate.
  • Remove any extension, hub or adapter between the charger and phone while testing. Establish whether the basic charger-and-cable combination works first.

The charger works only at ordinary speed

Check whether the adapter actually supports Vivo’s required charging technology rather than merely advertising a large wattage. A 100W adapter with a 20V/5A profile, like the one Vivo lists for the X100 Pro, should not be assumed to deliver the 11V/8.2A profile documented for a 90W X200. Different ratings and profiles are not interchangeable by arithmetic alone.

Charging stops, cycles or becomes hot

  • Disconnect the setup and let the phone and adapter cool.
  • Remove damaged, loose or unusually warm cables from service.
  • Test with the model-matched charger and cable in a dry, ventilated location.
  • Do not cover the adapter or leave a suspect setup operating unattended.
  • If the problem persists with known-compatible equipment, contact Vivo support or an authorized service center instead of continuing to use a suspect adapter.

Common buying mistakes

Choosing the biggest number

The X90’s 120W maximum does not make its charger a universal upgrade for an X60 Pro, V25, X200, X200 FE or X100 Pro. Maximum wattage says how much a particular phone can accept under its documented conditions; it does not describe every other Vivo phone.

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.

Assuming the connector proves compatibility

USB connector shape addresses physical fit, not the charging profile, cable rating or regional safety requirements. Verify the electrical specifications and cable details separately.

Ignoring the box contents

Do not pay for a second charger without checking your local package. Conversely, do not assume a charger is included because an overseas unboxing video shows one. The X200 FE specification specifically distinguishes overseas and European contents.

Expecting the maximum all session

Dynamic adjustment and laboratory test conditions mean the displayed or measured rate can vary. Judge a setup by correct compatibility and stable, safe operation, not by expecting a fixed maximum every minute.

Mixing a matched brick with an unknown cable

Replacing only the adapter can leave the original cable as the limiting component. Conversely, buying a premium cable does not make an incompatible adapter deliver FlashCharge. Evaluate the two accessories together.

Charging at home, work and while traveling

For a primary home charger, prioritize the exact Vivo profile and a cable long enough to use without tension. For an office or travel spare, the same model and regional checks still apply; convenience does not remove the need for a compatible profile. If you carry an adapter between countries, verify its input and plug arrangement before connecting it to local mains. A plug-shape converter only changes physical fit.

Keep the model-matched high-speed charger and cable together and label a spare if several similar cables are in use. This avoids accidentally pairing an ordinary cable with the adapter when you need the intended charging mode.

A practical decision checklist

  • Model: Do I have the exact Vivo model and regional version?
  • Power: What maximum does Vivo publish for this model?
  • Profile: What voltage/current combination and charging technology does Vivo specify?
  • Cable: Are both connector ends and the cable rating confirmed?
  • Contents: Is an adapter or cable already included in my market?
  • Safety: Does the charger have clear model, output and regional safety information?
  • Bundle: Are the charger and cable being evaluated as one system?
  • Expectation: Am I treating the maximum as a ceiling rather than a guaranteed constant?

Bottom line for the main Vivo examples

Use the official model specification as the deciding document. The X60 Pro example is a 33W, 11V/3A setup; the V25 is 44W, 11V/4A; the X200 and X200 FE are up to 90W with 11V/8.2A profiles; the X100 Pro is up to 100W at 20V/5A; and the X90 is up to 120W at 20V/6A. Those differences are precisely why no single charger or cable can be described as universally suitable for Vivo phones. Match the adapter, cable and package contents to your exact phone and market, then expect charging power to adjust during real use.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I use any USB-C charger with my Vivo phone?

A USB-C plug may fit, but physical fit does not prove FlashCharge compatibility. Check your exact model’s required charging technology and voltage/current profile. An otherwise suitable phone may charge only at ordinary speed with a generic adapter.

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.

Does a higher-wattage Vivo charger charge every Vivo phone faster?

No. Vivo models use different profiles. The X90 is listed at up to 120W and the X60 Pro at up to 33W, but the X90 figure does not establish compatibility with the X60 Pro or another model. The phone controls the mode it accepts.

What cable should I buy for a Vivo X200 or X200 FE?

First confirm the regional model specification. Vivo lists up to 90W and an 11V/8.2A profile for both examples. Use the cable supplied for the phone when available, or a replacement whose manufacturer explicitly confirms compatibility with that charger and charging mode.

Is the charger included with the Vivo X200 FE?

It depends on the market. Vivo’s specification says the charger is included overseas except Europe and is not included in Europe. Check the regional product page and your box rather than relying on an unboxing video from another country.

Why does my Vivo phone charge slowly with a 100W adapter?

The adapter may not provide the profile your phone expects, or the cable may be limiting the mode. Vivo lists 20V/5A for the X100 Pro and 11V/8.2A for the 90W X200 examples, so wattage alone cannot establish interchangeability.

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.

Will my Vivo phone draw the maximum advertised wattage for the whole charge?

No. Vivo says charging power is dynamically adjusted, and some figures are measured under laboratory conditions. Battery level, temperature, screen use and the negotiated mode can all change the instantaneous power.

Should I buy a genuine Vivo charger or a third-party model?

A model-matched Vivo FlashCharge charger and compatible cable provide the least uncertainty. A third-party adapter can be reasonable when its manufacturer clearly documents the required profile, charging protocol, regional plug and exact model compatibility.

What should I do if the charger or cable becomes hot?

Disconnect it, let the equipment cool and stop using any cable that is damaged, loose or unusually warm. Test with known-compatible equipment in a dry, ventilated place. If the issue continues, contact Vivo support or an authorized service center.

The Bottom Line

Identify the exact Vivo model and market, then match the charger profile and cable—not just the connector or wattage label. Confirm local box contents, use model-matched equipment where possible, and treat every advertised maximum as a ceiling that changes with real-world conditions.
