No More Room in Hell 2 is a cooperative zombie survival shooter for up to eight players, built around mission objectives, scarce supplies, infection and extraction. Steam lists a minimum target of 1080p at 30 Hz on Low settings and a recommended target of 1080p at 60 Hz on High; compare your CPU, graphics card and memory with the full requirements below before deciding whether your PC is a fit.

No More Room in Hell 2 PC system requirements

The following specifications and experience targets are published on the Steam store listing. They are the store’s stated targets, not a guarantee of identical performance on every PC.

Component Minimum Recommended

Store-stated experience target 1080p, 30 Hz, Low settings with Performance Super Sampling 1080p, 60 Hz, High settings with Quality Super Sampling

Check your complete configuration rather than relying on one part: a graphics card that meets the listed minimum does not by itself establish that your processor and RAM also meet it. If your PC is below the minimum in a component, the store listing does not establish what performance to expect from that configuration.

What kind of game is it?

Torn Banner Studios describes No More Room in Hell 2 as an eight-player co-op survival shooter. Players work through scenarios in the northeastern United States, using proximity voice chat while sharing limited resources and dealing with different zombie types and infection. Successful missions can advance a Responder’s progression, while a character may be lost permanently. See the official Steam listing for the game’s feature description.

How the mission modes differ

Objective scenarios

Objective missions use larger maps and a sequence of CRC tasks that leads to extraction. The central rhythm is to complete the required objectives, manage the team’s supplies and reach the extraction point.

Survival

Survival maps are smaller and start with preparation around speaker systems that draw zombie waves away from civilians. Defend through three waves to trigger helicopter extraction. According to the game’s 1.0 notes, failing two waves opens an early extraction option. The mode’s faster start makes the preparation window important: gather supplies and set up before the defense begins.

Solo Mode

The 1.0 notes describe Solo Mode as a way to learn maps, objectives and combat, or experiment with a prepared Responder. It has no traditional progression and no permadeath risk. The official description does not say that Solo Mode awards normal match progression. These mode details come from the official No More Room in Hell 2 Steam announcements.

Practical beginner tips

Coordinate around shared supplies

Resources are scarce, and proximity voice chat supports coordination when teammates are nearby. Communicate what the group needs and where danger is instead of treating every pickup as an individual reward. A microphone headset is optional; the official listing does not make one a requirement.

Pay attention to infection and treatment

The developer’s 1.0 material says Phalanx pills delay infection, while gene therapy can cure it and provide immunity. It describes gene therapy as a single spawn per match, so tell teammates when someone needs treatment and coordinate who uses the available supply.

Choose extraction with the character at stake in mind

The 1.0 notes distinguish early extraction from completing the mission: early extraction yields no character progression and only a small share of Credits. Final extraction awards character XP and Credits based on team supplies. When deciding whether to continue, weigh the potential reward against the possibility of losing a Responder permanently.

Match your approach to the mode

In Objective scenarios, focus on the stated task sequence and eventual extraction. In Survival, use the preparation period to loot and arrange defenses before holding the speakers through the waves. Practicing in Solo Mode can help you learn objectives and combat without permadeath risk.

Release and update status

Steam lists August 11, 2026 as the PC release date. Torn Banner announced that the game left Early Access and launched on PC and consoles that day. On August 20, 2026, the development team reported that more than 1,000,000 players had played since Early Access, with 500,000 of those players from the 1.0 launch onwards on PC and consoles. Those are studio-reported figures, not independently audited counts; the announcement is on the developer blog.

That August 20 post also described multiple updates planned for 2026, including two for autumn, and discussed fixes, controller refinements, new content, weapon attachments and further Solo and Survival development. These were plans stated on that date, not confirmation that each item has shipped. For current patch details, check the official announcements.
