To check playtime in Final Fantasy Resonance, open the Main Menu, travel to a save point in a town or dungeon, and inspect the save record. The gameplay documentation confirms the Main Menu is where game features are accessed and that town and dungeon save points record progress. A community report places the elapsed-time counter on the save file rather than on the ordinary Main Menu, so treat that exact location as reported behavior until an official manual or in-game screenshot confirms it.
A single, official 0–100% completion meter has not been verified. Do not confuse a platform profile percentage, achievement total, or trophy percentage with Resonance’s own progress tracking. For a reliable picture, use the save timer and keep separate records for story chapters, side quests, Visions, optional dungeons, Coliseum content, and post-story challenges.
Quick answer: the shortest reliable method
- While playing, press the control assigned to Main Menu. The game’s instructional documentation describes this menu as the gateway to game features.
- Go to a save point in a town or dungeon.
- Open the save interface and inspect the save record for its elapsed-time field. The presence of the timer on this screen is supported by a community report, not yet by a clearly identified official manual page.
- If your console or PC launcher displays playtime, achievements, or a percentage, label that information as platform-level data. It may measure something different from in-game progress.
- Track optional content separately instead of expecting one percentage to represent every quest and challenge.
This approach answers the practical question without claiming that Resonance has a formal completion gauge that has not been documented.

1. Open the Main Menu
Press the button or key assigned to Main Menu during exploration. The Final Fantasy Resonance gameplay documentation says, “Main Menu Press Main Menu to open the Main Menu and access various game features.” Exact button labels can differ by platform and by your control settings, so use the command shown in your own control layout rather than assuming a PlayStation, Xbox, Switch, or keyboard input.

The Main Menu is the correct starting point because it is the documented hub for game features. It is not, however, the same thing as the save-record screen. If you open the menu and see no timer, that alone does not prove the game lacks a playtime counter.
2. Find a save point
Reach a save point in a town or dungeon. The same gameplay documentation states, “Save Points At the save points found in towns and dungeons, you can record your progress.” Interact with the point to open its save interface.
Saving is useful even if you only want to read the timer: it gives you a current record tied to your present progress. If you have several saves, note which slot you are viewing before drawing conclusions about your total time.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problems2Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minute3Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errors3. Inspect the save record
Look through the save entries for an elapsed-time field. A community report says the playtime timer appears on the save file rather than on the main menu. Present that as a reported user-interface behavior, not as a fully verified official instruction. If your screen uses a different label, look for wording such as time, play time, or elapsed time without assuming that every platform uses identical terminology.
Compare the value across two saves if you are unsure which record is current. The number should be interpreted as the time recorded for that save, not automatically as a measure of how much of the game’s content you have completed.
4. Record the value and platform
Write down the displayed time together with your platform and save location. This is helpful when asking for support because the walkthrough material lists Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC, and the interface may not be identical on each system.
Do not add together every save’s timer. Multiple files can represent alternate routes, older checkpoints, or separate playthroughs. Choose the active file when you want the time for your current run.

Is there a completion-percentage meter?
No searched source verifies a dedicated overall completion-percentage meter inside Final Fantasy Resonance. The available documentation establishes access to game features through the Main Menu and progress recording through save points, but it does not establish a screen that reports a universal 0–100% total.
That means a precise menu path such as “Main Menu > Completion” should not be presented as fact without an official manual reference or an in-game screenshot showing that label. If you find such a screen in your own copy, check the wording carefully: a counter for a chapter, map, quest category, or collection is not necessarily an overall completion percentage.
What not to count as the game’s own percentage
- A console profile’s achievement or trophy percentage.
- A launcher page that reports achievements unlocked.
- A platform “completion” statistic calculated from external account data.
- A walkthrough’s estimate of how many hours remain.
- A save timer, which measures elapsed time rather than content completed.
These values can be useful supplementary indicators, but they should be named for what they measure. Calling one of them Resonance’s official completion percentage would overstate the available evidence.
Progress indicators compared
| Indicator | Where it appears | What it measures | Status of evidence | How to use it |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Save-file timer | Save interface at a town or dungeon save point | Elapsed playtime recorded for that save | Save points are documented officially; timer location is community-reported | Use it for time spent on the current save |
| Main Menu | In-game Main Menu | Access to game features; no verified universal percentage | Main Menu function is documented; completion meter is unverified | Use it to reach available systems, then check the relevant feature |
| Platform profile | Console account or PC launcher page | Achievements, trophies, or platform-calculated progress | Depends on the platform and account service | Use it as an external achievement indicator, not proof of in-game completion |
| Manual progress notes | Your own checklist or spreadsheet | Story, side quests, Visions, dungeons, Coliseum, and post-story tasks | Reader-maintained; category definitions are your responsibility | Use it when the game does not expose one combined percentage |
The comparison matters because the indicators answer different questions. A timer answers “How long have I played this save?” An achievement page answers “Which platform objectives have been registered?” Neither automatically answers “How much of every available Resonance activity have I completed?”
How to track completion when no universal meter is visible
Main-story progress
Use your current chapter, destination, or latest major objective as the primary story marker. Keep the wording exactly as it appears in your journal or objective list. A story checkpoint is more reproducible than an informal percentage because two players may spend very different amounts of time between the same plot events.
Side quests
Maintain a list of side-quest names and mark each one when its final reward or completion message appears. Do not mark a quest merely because you accepted it or reached an intermediate objective. If a quest can be abandoned, failed, or revisited, note its state separately so that “started” is not mistaken for “complete.”
Visions
Record Visions as their own category. The available guidance identifies Visions as optional activity worth tracking, but it does not provide a verified universal counter or a complete category total. Note the name, location, and whether the activity is finished according to the game’s own confirmation.

Optional dungeons
List each optional dungeon and record separate milestones if they matter to you: entrance reached, dungeon cleared, boss defeated, and treasure or special objective completed. A save timer cannot distinguish these states, and a platform achievement may cover only one of them.

Coliseum content
Track Coliseum participation and victories independently from the main story. If the game offers ranks, rounds, or rewards, record those labels rather than converting them into an invented percentage. A player who has cleared the story but not the Coliseum should be able to see that difference at a glance.
Post-story challenges
Create a final section for post-story challenges, including activities that unlock only after the main ending. Mark the unlock condition, completion condition, and any repeatable score separately. This prevents a finished story save from being mistaken for a finished endgame file.
Why a single percentage can be misleading
Published runtime estimates show how widely play styles can vary. Famitsu reported 20–30 hours for the main story and up to 70 hours with extra content in 2026. GamesRadar+ reported a producer estimate from Keisuke Nakashima of 30–40 hours to complete and up to 80 hours for completionists, also in 2026. These are attributable estimates, not readings from an official completion meter and not guarantees for every player.
A walkthrough lists the game on Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC and describes 60–80 hours for completionist play. That range is useful for planning but does not define what the game’s own percentage would count. One source may use “complete” for finishing the story; another may include optional bosses, collections, or challenge content.
What’s actually slowing this PC down?
Pick the symptom - the matching free tool is one click away.
For example, a player can spend 35 hours exploring optional areas before reaching the ending, while another reaches the ending in 25 hours and then spends 20 hours on post-story challenges. Their timers and activity lists will differ even if both have completed the main narrative.
Platform-specific considerations
The listed platforms are Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. Use the in-game save interface as the common method, then treat any platform statistics as separate data. Menu wording, button prompts, achievement systems, and launcher presentation can change between systems.

Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2
Use the on-screen Main Menu prompt and the save point’s interaction command. If the console profile shows play activity or achievement-like information, keep it separate from the save-file timer because platform-level data is not established as Resonance’s own completion value.
PlayStation 5
Check the save record first. Trophy progress is an account-level measure of registered objectives; it should not be described as the game’s overall completion percentage unless the game itself labels it that way.

Xbox Series X|S
Use the same save-point workflow. Any achievement percentage shown by the Xbox interface reflects unlocked achievements and may omit untracked side content.
PC
Open the game’s own save screen rather than relying solely on the launcher. Launcher playtime can include time in menus or other sessions and may not match the timer stored in a particular save.

The Main Menu has no time display
That is consistent with the community report that places the timer on the save file. Travel to a town or dungeon save point and open the save screen instead of searching only the pause menu.
The save screen has no obvious “playtime” label
Check every column or detail panel associated with the save entry and compare multiple records. Labels can differ by platform or translation. If no elapsed-time field appears anywhere, do not invent a value from the platform profile; report that your version does not expose a visible timer in the checked interface.

You expected a percentage but found only objectives
Use the objective list and your own category checklist. The absence of a verified universal meter means a checklist is more defensible than converting completed objectives into a guessed fraction.
You are using a different edition or patch
Record the platform and edition when reporting the interface. The available evidence does not establish that every release presents progress identically, so a screen seen on one system should not be generalized to all versions without confirmation.
A practical completion-tracking workflow
- Start a progress log. Create columns for story, side quests, Visions, optional dungeons, Coliseum, and post-story challenges.
- Save at meaningful milestones. Use a town or dungeon save point after a major story event, a difficult optional area, or a completed quest.
- Copy the save timer. Record the elapsed time exactly as displayed, together with the save slot and platform.
- Mark only confirmed completions. Use the game’s completion message, reward, cleared status, or equivalent confirmation.
- Separate unlocked from finished. An available dungeon, accepted quest, or discovered Vision is not necessarily complete.
- Review platform statistics independently. Add achievements or trophies as a separate column, never as a substitute for the in-game checklist.
- Capture unusual behavior. If your edition shows a labeled percentage, write down its exact label and category; do not assume it is an overall total.
This workflow gives you an auditable answer even when the interface exposes time but not a combined completion score.
What the published time estimates do—and do not—tell you
The 20–30-hour story and up-to-70-hour extra-content estimate attributed to Famitsu in 2026 describes expected play length, not a rule for calculating completion. The 30–40-hour completion and up-to-80-hour completionist estimate attributed to producer Keisuke Nakashima through GamesRadar+ in 2026 is likewise a planning figure. The walkthrough’s 60–80-hour completionist range is another guide estimate.
These ranges overlap but are not identical because “completion” can include different activities and because player behavior changes route length. Use them to decide whether a timer seems plausible, not to infer a percentage. A 40-hour save is not automatically 50% complete, and an 80-hour save is not automatically 100% complete.
How to report your progress accurately
When sharing progress with another player, state four things: platform, save-file time, story position, and optional-content checklist. For example: “PC; save record shows 32:14; main story at the latest chapter objective; three side quests and one optional dungeon remain.” This is clearer than saying “I am about 70% done,” because the latter has no established in-game definition.
If you see a percentage in a platform profile, quote the platform and the label exactly. “PlayStation trophy completion” or “launcher achievement percentage” communicates what the number measures and avoids presenting it as a Resonance statistic.
Bottom line on playtime and completion
Use the Main Menu to reach the game’s features, then check a town or dungeon save point for the save record. The elapsed-time field on that record is community-reported, while the documentation officially confirms the role of the Main Menu and save points. No reliable source currently verifies a dedicated overall completion-percentage screen. Until an official manual or in-game screenshot establishes one, combine the save timer with separate checklists for story, side quests, Visions, optional dungeons, Coliseum content, and post-story challenges, and keep platform achievements labeled as external progress.
