On PS5, open PlayStation Plus from the Games home screen, choose Collections, then open Last chance to play. On PS4, open PlayStation Plus from the function screen, choose Games and Game Catalog, then find Last chance to play. That section shows catalog titles approaching removal. Confirm the displayed title and date on your own console because availability depends on your country, region, membership plan and the current catalog.
The two console paths at a glance
Sony provides different menu routes on PS5 and PS4. Use the route for the console on which you intend to play, then read the live listing rather than relying on an old announcement.

How to find the list on PS5
Open the PlayStation Plus hub
- Start at the PS5 Games home screen.
- Select PlayStation Plus. This opens the hub associated with the account currently signed in.
- Open Collections.
- Select Last chance to play. The page is the catalog-departure view, so it is the first place to look when you want to know which included games are nearing removal.
Each entry in the live page is the useful evidence for your account: the title shown, its availability state and, when Sony supplies one, the service end date. Open the individual game page if you need to verify the edition or download option before deciding what to play.

Use the general catalog when you cannot see the departure shelf
Sony’s support route for the broader catalog is Games home screen → PlayStation Plus → Benefits → Game Catalog. From there, browse or search for a game. If a Last chance to play shelf is not visible under Collections, check the catalog page and search the PlayStation Plus hub for that phrase. A system update, account state or regional layout can change where a shelf appears without changing the underlying catalog rules.
Record the date shown for your account
Do not copy a date from a social post or an older article. Write down the date displayed on the game’s current console page, including the time zone or “available until” wording if Sony presents it. A title can appear in one country’s catalog and not another, and its end date can differ from a previously published monthly lineup.
How to find the list on PS4
Open PlayStation Plus from the function screen
- Press the PS4 controller’s PS button if necessary, then open the function screen.
- Select PlayStation Plus.
- Choose Games, then open Game Catalog.
- Look for Last chance to play and open it to see games approaching removal.
This is the PS4 route quoted in Sony’s May 15, 2024 catalog announcement. Sony’s general support route is PlayStation Plus → Game Catalog; use that entry if your interface places the catalog directly under the PlayStation Plus menu.

Select a title from the shelf and inspect its current product page. Confirm that the game is included for the account and plan you are using, then note the displayed end date. The live console page takes precedence over a dated blog post because catalog contents are revised continuously.
What “leaving the catalog” means
“Leaving the catalog” refers to games supplied through the PlayStation Plus Game Catalog or Classics Catalog that Sony has assigned a service end date and will remove. Sony describes these as catalog benefits with availability that can end, rather than as permanent purchases. The PlayStation Plus games and membership page directs members to the PlayStation Plus hub on their console for the complete list in their country or region.
The Last chance to play shelf is therefore a planning tool. It highlights titles that are still offered but are nearing their catalog end date. It is not a list of every game that has ever been announced for PlayStation Plus, nor is it a historical archive of previous removals.
Do not confuse catalog departures with monthly games
Monthly games are a separate benefit
Monthly games and catalog games appear in different PlayStation Plus benefit areas. Monthly games are offered for members to add to their library during the monthly offer period. Catalog games are a rotating selection that can be played while the title remains available through the relevant catalog and the account has the required membership.

Why the distinction matters
Sony says some Game Catalog and Classics Catalog titles have end dates and are removed from the service. That notice does not automatically describe every monthly game you have claimed. Sony’s United States games page says monthly games remain playable while the membership is active, whereas catalog access is governed by the corresponding plan and the title’s service availability. Check the benefit label on the game’s PlayStation Plus page before assuming that a monthly-game rule applies.
If a game appears under Last chance to play, treat the displayed catalog end date as the relevant deadline for that listing. If it appears in the monthly-games area instead, use the monthly benefit information for that offer rather than the catalog-departure shelf.
Membership tier determines whether you can use the catalog
Access problems are often caused by the plan attached to the account rather than by a missing game. Sony identifies Extra as including the Game Catalog. Premium includes the Game Catalog and the Classics Catalog. A lower or different plan may not provide the catalog benefit needed to open a listed title.
Check the plan before troubleshooting the menu
- Confirm that the console is signed in to the account whose membership you intend to use.
- Check the account’s current PlayStation Plus tier in the subscription or account settings.
- Match the game’s category to the plan: Game Catalog titles require the catalog benefit, while Classics Catalog titles require the tier that includes Classics.
- If the title page asks you to subscribe even though you expected access, compare the plan shown on the account with the plan required by the title.
Plan entitlements and catalog contents are not universal across countries. Sony’s catalog information warns that availability varies over time and by plan, so a friend’s account or a screenshot from another region is not proof that your account should see the same game.

Why a title or date may look different
Country and region
Licensing and catalog agreements differ by market. Sony’s games page tells users to check the PlayStation Plus hub for the full list available in their own country or region. The console listing is therefore more reliable than an international list copied from a blog or forum.
Catalog changes over time
Games enter and leave the service on a schedule that can change. An announcement may describe one month’s additions and departures, but it becomes historical as soon as the catalog is updated. Use the announcement only to understand the navigation or the context of that month; use the live console shelf for today’s title and date.
Menu redesigns
System software can move a shelf or rename a heading. The functional ideas remain the same: open the PlayStation Plus hub, enter the catalog area, and locate the section labelled Last chance to play or an equivalent departure grouping. If the exact path in an older guide does not match your screen, start from the current PlayStation Plus landing page instead of repeatedly following an obsolete menu sequence.

A reliable checking routine
Use this routine whenever you need to decide whether to start a catalog game.
- Open the live shelf. Follow the PS5 or PS4 route above and enter Last chance to play.
- Identify the exact title. Check the name, platform and edition shown on the game card. Similar titles or bundles can have different catalog status.
- Read the availability message. Look for the explicit end date or “last chance” wording on the current game page.
- Check your entitlement. Make sure your account’s PlayStation Plus tier includes the relevant Game Catalog or Classics Catalog.
- Confirm your region. Use the account and console region for which you intend to play; do not substitute a list from another country.
- Prioritize by time. Start the games with the nearest displayed end date first. If Sony provides only a month or an approximate notice, treat that as less precise than a dated listing and recheck the console page before committing to a long playthrough.
- Recheck after a catalog update. A game’s status can change while you are deciding, so revisit the title page rather than relying on a note made weeks earlier.
How to read an end-date notice
An end-date notice applies to the title’s availability through the catalog, not to ownership of a separately purchased copy. Read the wording on the game card and its product page together: the card identifies the game, while the product page can show the current availability state and any date Sony supplies. If several editions appear, verify that the edition you plan to use is the one covered by the listing.
Use the date as a planning cutoff, not as a promise that every account will see an identical clock. Sony’s catalog is specific to country or region and membership plan, and the console may display an “available until” formulation rather than a standalone date. Preserve that wording when making a note, then revisit the page if you postpone playing. A note made weeks earlier can be obsolete after the next catalog revision.
Practical planning for a game that is leaving
Once you find a title in Last chance to play, compare its displayed deadline with the amount of time you realistically have. Prioritize a short game with a near date over a longer game whose listing ends later, but do not assume an announcement’s order is the order for your account. Open each game page and record the exact title, edition and date before choosing.
If you share a console, repeat the check while signed in to the account that will actually play. Another account’s tier or region can produce a different catalog view. Likewise, checking the PS5 hub does not replace checking the PS4 hub when you intend to play on PS4; use the interface for the relevant console and confirm the live listing there.

You are on the wrong PlayStation Plus page
On PS5, the departure shelf is under Collections, while Sony’s general catalog entry is under Benefits → Game Catalog. On PS4, the shelf is reached through Games → Game Catalog. Return to the PlayStation Plus hub and follow the console-specific route instead of searching the regular PlayStation Store categories.
Your account does not have the required tier
If the catalog is locked or the page shows only an upgrade prompt, verify the subscription tier. Extra includes the Game Catalog; Premium adds the Classics Catalog. A title in a catalog you do not have may not be presented as playable even if another account can see it.

The title is not offered in your region
Compare the account’s country or region with the source of the list you are using. Sony’s public catalog page is not a promise that every listed game appears in every market. The console hub is the authoritative view for your region.
The game was removed already
A dated article or screenshot may show a game that has since reached its end date. Search the current catalog and the title’s product page. If it is no longer offered, an older “leaving soon” notice cannot restore access or establish a new deadline.
The labels changed after an update
Use the support route as a fallback: PS5 Games home screen → PlayStation Plus → Benefits → Game Catalog; PS4 function screen → PlayStation Plus → Game Catalog. From that catalog, search for a departure or last-chance grouping. Sony’s blog wording is guidance, not a guarantee that every future software version will use identical labels.

Sony’s May 15, 2024 PlayStation Blog catalog announcement explicitly tells readers to check the “Last chance to play” section on PS5 under PlayStation Plus → Collections, or on PS4 under PlayStation Plus → Games → Games Catalog. That post is useful for learning where the section is, but its example games and dates belong to May 2024. They should not be presented as the current departure lineup.
For a current check, open the console hub first, record what your account displays, and use Sony’s catalog page only as background about the service and its regional or plan qualifications. The console listing is the place to verify the title and date that apply to you.
