There is no verified, published click path yet for Planet Zoo 2’s exhibit and education-item attention list. Frontier’s announcements explain that the sequel tracks animal moods, habitat needs, conservation and education, but they do not name the warning panel, alert labels or filters. To avoid following incorrect Planet Zoo instructions, use the current game’s management or status views to identify flagged animals, habitats and education assets, then open each item’s own details. Confirm the labels in your installed build before relying on a specific procedure.

What is confirmed about checking problems in Planet Zoo 2

Planet Zoo 2 was announced for PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S with a planned release date of October 13, 2026. The announcement does not document a panel that lists exhibits or education items needing attention, and it does not confirm whether every region received the game on the same timetable. You can check the current platform store and the version installed on your system, but do not assume that the announcement itself proves present availability in your region. Frontier’s May 28, 2026 announcement is the source for the date and platforms.

Frontier’s July 2026 roundup says that players manage animal moods and habitat needs such as water, food and enrichment. It does not explain how an attention warning is displayed or filtered. The July roundup therefore supports the existence of those management concerns, not a particular menu route.

Game Director Gareth Hughes describes the reason to monitor habitats: “Well-designed habitats improve animal welfare and guest experience, boost zoo ratings, and help generate the income needed to expand further.” His statement, published by Xbox Wire, explains the consequences of good habitat design; it is not an instruction for opening an alert list.

Question What current published material establishes What it does not establish
Does the sequel monitor animal and habitat conditions? Yes. Frontier describes moods and needs including water, food and enrichment. The exact warning text, icon, panel or sort order.
Are education features part of the sequel? Yes. Frontier’s announcement mentions conservation and animal signs, alongside aviaries and aquariums. Whether an education asset appears in the same list as an exhibit or in a separate view.
Is there a documented attention checklist? No current official manual or support page found for this workflow. Any specific button, tab, hotkey, filter or repair command.

What “needs attention” can mean

An attention marker is useful only when you know which object generated it. In a zoo-management game, a red icon or warning sentence might refer to an animal’s welfare, a habitat resource, a guest-facing facility or a connection between two objects. Frontier’s public descriptions establish that Planet Zoo 2 includes animal moods, habitat needs and education features, but they do not define one universal severity system.

Read the warning literally. If it names an animal, begin with that animal’s details. If it names an exhibit or habitat, open the enclosure information. If it names a sign or speaker, treat that education asset as the primary object. A general guest complaint may point to another object only after you open the linked details. Do not assume that every warning on a map uses the same cause, priority or color.

How to investigate an attention warning without guessing the controls

The following is a verification workflow, not a claimed Planet Zoo 2 click path. It is designed to keep an education problem separate from an animal or habitat problem while you identify the labels used by your build.

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.
  1. Pause or slow the simulation. This gives you time to read the warning and prevents a changing need from disappearing while you inspect it. The exact pause control depends on your platform and control settings.
  2. Open the game’s current management, overview or status interface. Look for a view that summarizes zoo assets, animal welfare, habitats or guest-facing facilities. Do not assume that a panel called “Alerts,” “Issues” or “Notifications” exists; use the label shown by your copy of the game.
  3. Separate the object type. Determine whether the flagged entry is an animal, an exhibit or habitat, an education sign, an education speaker, or another guest facility. A warning attached to an education asset is not proof that the enclosure itself is failing.
  4. Open the individual item’s details. Read the condition, need or assignment shown for that item. Record the affected animal or species, location and any stated requirement before moving or deleting anything.
  5. Inspect the related object as a second check. For an education warning, inspect the relevant animal or exhibit separately. For an animal-welfare warning, inspect the habitat and its resources separately. This two-panel check prevents you from repairing the wrong asset.
  6. Apply only an action that the details view explicitly offers. Depending on the warning, the available action might be to inspect, reposition, power, reassign or otherwise resolve the item. The sequel’s exact action names are not documented in the cited sources, so do not follow a remembered Planet Zoo 1 command as if it were confirmed.
  7. Return to the overview and recheck the status. A warning should disappear, change state or provide a new explanation after a successful fix. If it remains, reopen the item details and check for a second unmet condition rather than repeatedly performing the same action.

How to record what you find

When several warnings appear, a short written log prevents circular troubleshooting. Note the date, platform, zoo or scenario, object name, exact wording, and the action you took. Add whether the warning changed immediately, after simulation time passed, or not at all. This record helps distinguish a persistent condition from a transient need and gives support staff useful information without requiring you to remember every menu state.

Keep animal, habitat and education entries on separate lines. For example, one line can identify an animal and its stated water need, while another identifies a sign and its displayed assignment. Do not combine them into one “exhibit problem” unless the game itself links them. If a status view offers sorting or filtering, record the visible label rather than translating it into a familiar Planet Zoo 1 term.

How to tell an exhibit problem from an education-item problem

Use the object named by the warning as your starting point. An exhibit or habitat issue concerns the animal’s living conditions; an education-item issue concerns how information is delivered to guests or how that asset is connected to an animal or exhibit. The two can be related without being identical.

If the warning names First thing to verify Do not infer automatically
An animal or habitat The animal’s current needs and the habitat resources shown in its details. That every nearby sign or speaker is also malfunctioning.
An education sign The sign’s own condition, placement, power state and assigned subject if those fields are shown. That the animal’s habitat needs are the cause.
An education speaker The speaker’s power, assignment and coverage information, if displayed. That moving the animal or rebuilding the habitat will fix it.
A general zoo or guest alert Open the linked object and identify whether it points to an animal, habitat or education asset. That the first object listed is the only cause.

This distinction matters because Frontier presents welfare, guest experience and zoo ratings as connected outcomes, while the sources do not say that the sequel collapses all causes into one warning category.

Checks for aviaries, aquariums and other new exhibit types

Frontier’s May 28 announcement specifically mentions aviaries and aquariums. That confirms these categories are part of the sequel’s announced scope, but it does not explain whether they share a warning screen with land habitats or use different detail fields. When one of these facilities is flagged, identify the facility type first, then read the needs or condition shown for the associated animals. Avoid copying a land-habitat checklist into an aviary or aquarium unless the game presents the same requirement.

The same caution applies to conservation features and animal signs. An item can be educational without being the enclosure itself. If the status view links a sign to a species, verify both the sign’s assignment and the animal’s own status before changing either one.

What can safely be carried over from the original Planet Zoo

Frontier’s original-game guide is useful background, but it is not a Planet Zoo 2 manual. Its interface names, icons and exact procedures must not be treated as verified sequel instructions.

  • In the original game, education signs must be powered and placed on paths.
  • In the original game, education speakers must be powered.
  • The original guide says education effectiveness can depend on whether the relevant animal is nearby.
  • It also warns that overlapping speakers assigned to different animals can confuse guests.

Read those points as possible concepts to look for, not as proof that Planet Zoo 2 uses the same requirements or layout. The original guidance is available in Frontier’s beginner’s guide to building a zoo. Original update notes, such as version 1.10.0, likewise describe Planet Zoo 1 only.

A practical checklist for each type of warning

Animal or habitat warning

  • Open the affected animal’s details and note the need named there.
  • Check the associated habitat or exhibit rather than a neighboring enclosure.
  • Look for the specific resource named by the game, such as water, food or enrichment; Frontier identifies these as examples of habitat needs in Planet Zoo 2.
  • After changing a resource or habitat element, return to the animal’s status and verify whether the need has changed.

Education sign warning

  • Open the sign itself and read its subject, state and any connection or power information shown.
  • Check that the sign is associated with the intended animal or exhibit.
  • Inspect the related animal or exhibit in a separate details view.
  • If the game reports a placement, coverage or guest-facing problem, follow only the remedy offered by the current interface.

Education speaker warning

  • Inspect the speaker as an independent asset.
  • Check its power and assignment fields if the sequel displays them.
  • Look for a coverage or overlap explanation before moving multiple speakers.
  • Recheck guest education status after one controlled change, so you know which change affected the result.

Comparing the two status views you should look for

A useful future guide will distinguish an overview list from an individual detail view. The overview, if your build provides one, should help you locate objects by type or severity. The detail view should explain the selected object’s need, assignment or condition and expose any available action. These are different jobs: a list tells you where to look, while details tell you what the game believes is wrong.

When comparing views, use two questions. What is flagged? Is the entry an animal, a habitat, an education sign, a speaker or another facility? What action is available? Does the selected screen offer inspection, repositioning, powering, reassignment or another remedy? Frontier’s published Planet Zoo 2 material does not confirm the labels or actions, so document what your build actually displays rather than substituting terms from an older game.

Why an online Planet Zoo 1 tutorial may mislead you

The original game has established help pages, while the currently cited Planet Zoo 2 material consists of announcements and feature descriptions. A tutorial that names a Planet Zoo 1 tab, icon or keyboard shortcut may be accurate for that game and still be wrong for the sequel. It may also describe an asset that has been renamed, reorganized or merged in the newer interface.

Before following a video or forum post, check three things: the game title shown in the footage, the platform and control scheme, and the date of the interface. If any of those differ from your installation, use the post only to understand the underlying problem and then locate the equivalent object in your own status view.

When the game does not show a clear list

If you cannot find a single attention dashboard, work from the objects themselves. Inspect the zoo overview, then open each exhibit or education item that appears visually flagged or that is associated with a guest complaint. Sort your notes into three columns—animal, habitat and education asset—and resolve one category at a time. This is slower than a consolidated list, but it avoids inventing a menu name and makes it clear which object actually changed state.

Also check that the game is fully updated and that you are viewing the correct zoo or scenario. A missing entry can be a context problem rather than a broken warning system. If the interface still provides no explanation, capture the exact on-screen wording and consult Frontier’s current support channels or manual when one is published; do not substitute an original-game procedure for an undocumented sequel feature.

Common mistakes that waste time

  • Repairing the nearest object. Map proximity does not prove that the closest habitat, sign or speaker generated the warning. Open the linked details first.
  • Changing several things at once. Moving an animal, rebuilding a habitat and relocating a sign together makes it impossible to know which change affected the status.
  • Assuming a warning is permanent. Animal moods and habitat needs can change as the simulation runs. Record the wording and recheck after a short interval.
  • Using a sequel name for an original feature. A familiar icon or phrase may belong to Planet Zoo 1. Quote the text shown in your own build.
  • Ignoring platform context. PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S may use different control prompts even when the underlying information is similar.

What to include in a support report

If a warning cannot be resolved, provide the platform, game version, zoo or scenario name, object type, exact message and a concise sequence of actions. State whether the problem affects an animal, habitat, sign, speaker or another facility. Screenshots should show the message and the selected object’s details, while avoiding unrelated personal information. This gives Frontier a reproducible description without claiming that an undocumented menu is defective.

What a properly documented Planet Zoo 2 answer should contain

A reliable future guide should identify the exact panel name, the path to it on PC and consoles, the icon or filter used for exhibits and education items, and the actions available after selecting an entry. It should also state the game build and date because interface labels can change after launch. Until those details are confirmed in the current game or an official manual, the most accurate answer is to use the installed build’s own management and item-detail views and to verify the warning’s object type before taking action.

Bottom line

Planet Zoo 2 clearly places importance on animal moods, habitat needs and education, but the official material currently available does not publish the exact attention-warning menu or filter path. Open the management or status views present in your build, identify whether the warning belongs to an animal, habitat or education asset, inspect that object’s details, and then verify the related object separately. Treat power, path placement, proximity and speaker-overlap advice as original Planet Zoo information unless Planet Zoo 2 itself confirms the same rule.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does Planet Zoo 2 have a documented list of exhibits and education items needing attention?

No exact panel, alert name or filter path is identified in Frontier’s published Planet Zoo 2 announcements and feature material. Use the management or status views shown by your installed build and verify the labels directly.

Can I follow an original Planet Zoo tutorial for this task?

Only as background. Original-game guidance says signs and speakers need power and discusses paths, proximity and overlapping speakers, but those requirements and interface steps are not confirmed for Planet Zoo 2.

How do I know whether the warning concerns an animal or an education asset?

Read the object named in the warning, open its details, and inspect the related object separately. An education-item warning is not proof that the exhibit or habitat itself is failing.

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.

What should I do if no consolidated warning list appears?

Inspect the zoo overview and individual exhibits and education items, record the exact wording, and resolve one object category at a time. Check that you are in the intended zoo or scenario and that the game is updated.

Which platforms and release date did Frontier announce for Planet Zoo 2?

Frontier announced PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S versions with an October 13, 2026 release date. The announcement does not guarantee identical regional availability or document the attention-warning interface.

Why should I check an animal’s details after fixing a sign or speaker?

Education assets and animal habitats can be related without sharing the same fault. A second check confirms whether the animal’s mood or habitat need changed and helps prevent repairing the wrong object.

The Bottom Line

Use Planet Zoo 2’s own management and item-detail views, identify the warned object, and verify related animals, habitats and education assets separately. Frontier has not published a definitive attention-list path, so keep original Planet Zoo advice clearly labeled and confirm every control in your current build.
