If Yandex will not load, first check whether other websites and apps work on the same device and connection. Then compare the affected Yandex service across browsers, devices, and networks. A failure that follows one service across several setups makes a wider service problem more plausible; one failed page load alone does not prove Yandex is down.
Start with the scope of the problem
Open two unrelated websites and try a non-Yandex app that needs internet access. If those fail too on the same device and network, the problem is more likely with the device, local network, or internet connection than with Yandex. Yandex recommends checking other sites or apps and restarting the Wi-Fi router and computer when there is no connection (Yandex Browser connection troubleshooting).
If other services work, test the exact Yandex service you need. A working Yandex homepage does not establish that every Yandex service is available: Yandex lists help for individual services in its support directory.

Run these checks in order
- Confirm general connectivity. Test unrelated sites and an internet-connected app. If they also fail, restart the router and computer, then retest before focusing on Yandex.
- Compare Yandex services. Try the affected service and, if useful, another Yandex service. One service failing while another works points to a different scope than several services failing, but neither observation proves the cause. Find the relevant service’s help route in the Yandex support directory.
- Try another browser. Open the same service in a different browser. If it works there, investigate the original browser’s profile, extensions, cache, or settings rather than assuming a service-wide outage.
- Try another device. Check the service on a second computer or phone if available. Yandex recommends comparing access from another computer and network as part of connection troubleshooting (Yandex Browser connection troubleshooting).
- Switch networks. For example, compare Wi-Fi with mobile data. If Yandex works on the alternate connection, the first network, provider, or its configuration becomes a more likely cause. If the issue persists on a network you do not control, ask its administrator or your provider for help.
- Check current outage reports. Look at a live independent tracker such as Downdetector’s Yandex reports. A sudden rise in reports supports the possibility of a wider disruption; a low report count or a “working” indicator does not prove that your service, region, or account is unaffected.
- Use targeted browser fixes. If the problem is limited to Yandex Browser, test Incognito mode. If the service works there, check extensions such as VPN or ad-blocking add-ons. Review proxy settings and, for relevant connection errors, clear the site or browser cache or flush DNS using Yandex’s connection guidance. Avoid turning off security software as a routine first step; if you investigate it, any test should be temporary and cautious.
- Contact the right support team. If the problem remains across devices and networks, or appears specific to one Yandex service, use that service’s official support route in the Yandex support directory.
Interpret the results without overreading them

What an outage tracker or status page can tell you
Outage trackers collect user reports, so their readings change and cannot confirm that a specific Yandex service is reachable for you. They are useful for corroborating other evidence, not replacing device, browser, and network comparisons.

Yandex’s general help directory is organized by service. The available information does not establish a single official live status dashboard covering every Yandex consumer service. A Yandex Cloud status endpoint is not a consumer-wide status check, so use the relevant service’s support information rather than treating it as a verdict for all of Yandex.
When to stop troubleshooting locally
If unrelated sites work but one Yandex service continues to fail across different browsers, devices, and networks, further changes to your router or computer are unlikely to clarify whether that service has an incident. Check its support route and current reports. If the failure only occurs on one device, browser, or network, keep troubleshooting within that scope and avoid resetting devices or buying equipment without a separate diagnosis.
