Start with the space where you plan to put the case, then compare its usable depth, width, and height with MSI’s published exterior dimensions: 695 × 379 × 671 mm (27.36 × 14.92 × 26.42 inches), in depth × width × height order. The MEG MAESTRO 900R is a full-tower case, but that category alone cannot tell you whether it fits a particular desk or room.
What space does the MEG MAESTRO 900R take up?
MSI lists the case’s exterior dimensions as 695 mm deep, 379 mm wide, and 671 mm high (27.36 × 14.92 × 26.42 inches), in D × W × H order. Its listed net weight is 33 kg (72.75 lb). These are the starting figures for checking a specific location, not a guarantee that the case will fit there. MSI’s specification page identifies the model as a full tower.
How to check your available space
- Choose the exact location. Decide whether the case will sit on the desktop, on the floor beside it, or somewhere else. Measure the usable area at that spot rather than relying on the desk’s advertised overall dimensions.
- Compare the measurements in the correct order. Check available depth against 695 mm (27.36 in), width against 379 mm (14.92 in), and clear height against 671 mm (26.42 in). MSI gives the dimensions as D × W × H; do not mistake the depth for the height.
- Account for obstructions. Look for a desk frame or lip, a wall, shelves, a window ledge, nearby furniture, and door swing. Also consider whether the case can be carried along the route into its final position.
- Allow for your setup. Decide how much room you need to reach ports, route cables, and support airflow in your particular arrangement. MSI’s reviewed pages publish the exterior dimensions, not a universal operating-clearance or minimum desk-size figure.
- Consider the move, not just the final spot. The case’s listed net weight is 33 kg (72.75 lb), so plan suitable help and a safe route for handling it. MSI’s UK specification page lists a 38 kg (83.78 lb) gross weight; that is a packaging-inclusive figure, not the case’s net weight.
Will it fit on your desk?
It fits only if the desk has enough usable depth, width, and vertical room for the case, with space that works for your access, cables, and airflow needs. Check the desk surface and the clearance beneath any shelf, monitor riser, or other structure above it. A desk’s nominal size is not enough if its frame, supports, or layout reduce the usable area.
Can you put it under your desk?
Measure the open height and footprint under the desk, including any crossbars, legs, drawers, cable trays, and nearby walls or furniture. Then consider access to the front ports and the room needed to route cables and maintain airflow. MSI’s product language about desk setups does not establish that the case fits under every desk; only measurements of your actual space can answer that.

Do its adjustable features change the fit?
MSI describes a repositionable front I/O module and a motherboard tray that rotates in four directions. Those features can help tailor access and presentation to a setup, but they do not change the case’s exterior dimensions or guarantee a fit. MSI’s product page says, “Whether in a studio, office, or gaming room, your system is no longer hidden beneath a desk, it becomes a statement of craftsmanship, performance, and personal style.” That is MSI’s product copy, not an independent fit assessment. MSI’s MEG MAESTRO 900R product page describes the setup features.
Which spot in the room is most practical?

- Usable footprint and clear height against the published case dimensions.
- Obstructions that could interfere with placement or access.
- Reach to ports and room to route cables.
- Whether your particular setup has the airflow space it needs.
- How practical it is to carry and position a 33 kg case there.
Measure before moving the case. MSI’s official announcement dated July 9, 2026 introduces the MEG MAESTRO 900R in its premium lineup, but it does not provide a fit verdict for any specific desk or room.
