Nearby coverage is not enough: Starlink says Residential availability and offers can vary by address. Check the address on Starlink’s own order page before buying a kit from a retailer.
How to check Starlink availability at your address

Open the official Starlink availability map or go to Starlink.com’s order flow.

Enter the full address where you intend to use the service. If Starlink suggests locations, select the one that matches your service address.

Review the availability status and the plans offered for that location. Starlink says an offer that does not appear after you enter the address is not currently available for that service location. Plan names and terms can change, so use the current options shown for your address.

If you are considering a retailer-bought kit, check the same intended service address on Starlink’s order page before purchasing or relying on being able to activate it.

Once you have confirmed service availability, use the Starlink app to check whether your intended dish position has an unobstructed view of the sky.

What the availability result means
Available
“Available” indicates that Starlink shows service as available now at the location. Review the specific plan offer and terms returned for your address before ordering; the map result does not guarantee that every plan is offered there.
Coming Soon or pending
Starlink’s map may show “Coming Soon” when coverage or regulatory approval is pending. Treat that as a pending status, not a service start date. Do not assume a launch date unless Starlink displays one for your specific location.

Sold out or at capacity
Starlink says residential activations are currently unavailable in a sold-out or at-capacity region. If the order flow offers a deposit for a waitlist, you can use it to reserve a position; Starlink says it will email when capacity is available and you are next in line, but does not provide an availability timeline. Its guidance states, “We are unable to provide timelines for residential service availability in any sold out regions.” Check business availability separately if that service is relevant to you. Residential service, Roam, and using Starlink elsewhere
Starlink Residential service is intended for the registered service address. If you want to use Starlink at another address or while traveling, Starlink identifies Roam as the plan category for that use. Check the current availability and terms for the destination rather than assuming a Residential plan will work there. Starlink’s Residential plan information.

Availability is not the same as a clear installation site
An address can be eligible for service while a particular spot for the dish has obstructions. Starlink says the terminal requires an unobstructed sky view and recommends using its app to identify a suitable installation location. The map cannot establish that every roof, yard, or mounting position at the address will provide that view. Starlink Availability Map.

A kit purchase does not by itself establish that Residential service can be activated at your intended location. Before buying from a retailer, enter the service address in Starlink’s order flow and verify that the service and plan you want are offered there. Starlink’s guidance for activation and kit availability directs customers to verify the intended service address on its own order page.
