Marvel’s Wolverine is no longer in a preorder period. Sony Interactive Entertainment released it worldwide for PlayStation 5 on September 15, 2026. The official US PlayStation listing now labels the game “Available now” and provides purchase controls, so a preorder button should not be expected.
You can still verify the live status, edition, price, and any region-specific offer in your own PlayStation Store. The US listing is only a pricing snapshot: it shows $69.99 for the Standard Edition and $79.99 for the Digital Deluxe Edition, while storefront prices and presentation can change.
What the current PS5 status means
PlayStation’s product FAQ says, “Marvel’s Wolverine launched on PlayStation 5 consoles on September 15, 2026.” Sony Group’s September 18, 2026 announcement describes it as available worldwide exclusively on PlayStation 5. That release date changes how the Store presents the game: you are looking for a normal purchase, not a reservation for a future launch.

- Transactional state: “Available now,” a current price, and a purchase or add-to-cart button indicate that the product is being sold as a released game.
- Preorder state: A future release date paired with “Pre-order” or similar reservation language indicates that the product has not entered its normal sale state in that Store.
- Bonus copy: A paragraph mentioning early unlocks, suits, claws, or other incentives may describe an edition or campaign history. It is not sufficient evidence that every buyer still qualifies.
- Edition identity: Verify whether the page is for the base game, a Digital Deluxe version, or a Digital Deluxe Upgrade. An upgrade generally assumes that you already own the Standard Edition.

What the Digital Deluxe content does—and does not—tell you
PlayStation’s Digital Deluxe description lists five exclusive suits, five exclusive claws, technique points, early unlock content, and four PlayStation avatars. Those items are part of the edition description; they are not evidence that the game has multiplayer, an open-world map, or a separate PS4 version.
Do not confuse edition content with a limited preorder reward. If a listing refers to an item as a preorder incentive, look for a current eligibility statement, a cutoff date, or terms attached to your territory. The inspected official material does not establish universal post-launch eligibility for all preorder incentives. If the bonus matters to your decision, ask the local PlayStation Store or retailer to confirm whether a purchase made now receives it.
Check the included-content panel before paying rather than relying on a headline, social post, or archived listing. - the final price after tax, shipping, or retailer fees.
A retailer’s “preorder” label can remain in a database after launch, especially if a page was not updated promptly. A current payment page, dispatch promise, and edition description are more useful than the label alone. If the retailer’s information conflicts with the official release status, contact that retailer before paying.
For a disc, verify that the package is the PS5 edition and that any included code can be redeemed in your account’s country. For a digital code, confirm whether it grants the Standard game, the Digital Deluxe game, or only the upgrade. Retailer discounts can change the final cost, but they do not change the official September 15, 2026 release date or the supported-console list.
