Sign in to T-Life as the Primary Account Holder, open Account, and select View promotions. Or sign in at T-Mobile.com, open Bill & pay, then select View my discounts & promotions. Check the promotion for the affected line, then compare it with the bill: a device installment promotion may appear as a Recurring Device Credit in the Equipment section. A missing credit on the first bill is not necessarily a problem; T-Mobile says recurring device credits can take up to two bill cycles to appear.
Check the promotion in your T-Mobile account
The account promotions page shows the promotion associated with your account; the bill shows whether a credit has posted. Check both, and make sure you are looking at the line and device tied to the offer. T-Mobile says the Primary Account Holder can review current promotions.
- In T-Life: Sign in as the Primary Account Holder, open Account, and select View promotions.
- On T-Mobile.com: Sign in, open Bill & pay, and select View my discounts & promotions.
- Review the relevant line. Confirm that the promotion you expect is listed for the line associated with the phone offer. T-Mobile says the online view reports when no promotion is present.
Seeing a promotion in the account view is not the same as seeing a credit on a particular bill. Use the bill to check what was actually credited and whether the timing matches the offer.

Find the credit on your bill
Look for the promotion description and, for a device installment offer, a Recurring Device Credit in the bill’s Equipment section. Compare the credit with the phone’s Equipment Installment Plan (EIP) and the offer terms rather than assuming that the phone’s installment amount and promotional credit will be identical.

The promotional code may appear on the bill and in the enrollment notification. Use that code to find the offer-details page and check the eligibility requirements for that specific promotion. Different offers can have different conditions, so another customer’s promotion terms may not apply to yours.

Allow for the promotion’s posting schedule
T-Mobile says Recurring Device Credits can take up to two bill cycles to appear. If a credit is missing from the first bill, T-Mobile says two credits will appear on the next bill. Its first-bill guidance also explains that some promotion value is split between an initial trade-in credit and recurring monthly credits, and the recurring portion may not appear until the second bill.

Trade-in credits can depend on T-Mobile receiving and confirming the trade-in device. A delayed, late, or ineligible trade-in can affect when credits appear or whether the promotion remains eligible. Check the offer’s terms and trade-in status before treating a first-bill omission as a confirmed billing error.

Troubleshoot a missing or stopped credit
- Confirm the promotion and line. Recheck the account promotions view as the Primary Account Holder and verify that you are inspecting the line tied to the offer.
- Locate the promo code. Check the bill or enrollment notification, then review that offer’s details for its requirements.
- Compare the bill with the EIP and offer terms. T-Mobile describes recurring device credits as requiring an EIP purchase and other offer requirements. Check the device installment and the specific offer conditions together.
- Check timing and trade-in processing. Allow up to two bill cycles for recurring device credits, and consider whether T-Mobile has received and confirmed a required trade-in.
- Review changes that can end credits. T-Mobile lists examples including a change to a required plan or service, closure of the linked line or EIP, returning or exchanging the phone outside the offer window, and a deferred trade-in that is late or ineligible. These are possible causes, not proof of what happened on a particular account.
- Contact T-Mobile if the records still conflict. Have the bill and promo code available so the account-specific enrollment and billing details can be checked. Public support information cannot determine or adjudicate a private account’s disputed credit.
What to conclude from what you see
- Promotion listed, credit not yet on the bill: Check how many bill cycles have passed and whether the offer includes a separate trade-in credit or delayed recurring credits.
- Credit appears on the bill: Compare its description and amount with the promo code’s offer terms and the related EIP.
- Promotion missing or credit stopped: Verify the affected line, offer requirements, plan or service status, EIP status, and any trade-in conditions; contact T-Mobile if those checks do not explain the discrepancy.
