To check a Nintendo Switch game’s current price, open Nintendo eShop, search for the title, and open its product page. The page shows the price for your storefront; when a discount is active, Nintendo displays the sale price below the regular price. To save the game, use the wishlist control shown on that listing or product page. Later, open eShop, select your user icon in the upper-right corner, and choose Wish List.
These steps work on the Switch console, but Nintendo has several different wishlist services. The eShop list, the wishlist on Nintendo’s official website, and the Nintendo Store app’s list are not automatically one shared list. Notifications also depend on the app and your region, so a game saved in eShop should not be assumed to generate a Store app alert.
Check a Nintendo Switch game’s current price
The amount shown on a game’s product page is the price that applies to the Nintendo Account and storefront currently being used. Because prices, discounts, currencies and availability can change by region and date, use the live product page rather than an old price mentioned elsewhere.

- From the Switch HOME Menu, select Nintendo eShop.
- If the console asks which user to use, choose the Nintendo Account that normally buys or downloads games. The selected account determines which account information and wishlist you see during that session.
- Wait for the storefront to load before searching. If several users share the console, confirm the profile name and icon so you do not check or save the title under the wrong account.
The eShop opens to the storefront associated with that account. If you use more than one Nintendo Account with different country settings, check each account separately; a result, price or sale visible under one storefront is not proof that the same offer exists in another.

2. Search for the game
- Use the eShop search field and enter the game’s title. Include enough of the title to distinguish it from similarly named editions or add-ons.
- Review the results and select the matching game. Nintendo’s Americas support instructions also describe narrowing results by price range or genre, which is useful when you know your budget or are browsing rather than looking for one exact title.
- Check the product image, title and publisher information on the result before opening it. This helps avoid selecting downloadable content, a bundle, a demo or a different edition when you intended the base game.
Search results are only a route to the listing. The product page is the place to confirm the amount you would actually be charged at that moment.
3. Read the product page’s price
Open the game’s product page and look for the purchase price shown by the storefront. If no promotion is running, the regular price is the amount displayed for that account and region. If a sale is active, Nintendo’s Japan eShop guide explains that the discounted price appears below the regular price. Read both figures and any displayed end date or promotion wording before deciding when to buy.
- Do not copy a price from another country. Nintendo eShop prices are time- and region-sensitive. The amount and currency on your own product page are the relevant figures.
- Do not treat a sale as permanent. A promotion can end or change after you add the game to a list. Reopen the product page when you are ready to purchase.
- Check the exact edition. A standard game, deluxe version, bundle and downloadable expansion can have different prices even when their titles look similar in search results.
- Look for the regular price when discounted. Seeing two amounts generally means the lower figure is the current sale price and the higher, struck-through or secondary figure is the regular price, as described in Nintendo’s regional support guidance.
If the product page shows a price that differs from a website, video or message from a friend, trust the page currently displayed in your eShop. That is the only figure tied to your account’s storefront at the time you check.

Add a game to the Nintendo eShop Wish List
You can save a title without buying it. The control’s position and button label can vary between the Switch eShop, a browser page and regional interfaces, so use the wishlist command visibly associated with the listing rather than relying on a single button name.
Add from the eShop listing or product page
- Search for the game and highlight the correct result.
- On the result card or after opening the product page, find the control labeled Wish List, Add to Wish List or an equivalent wishlist icon.
- Select that control and wait for the confirmation or state change showing that the title is saved.
- If the title is already saved, the control normally changes to indicate that it is on your list. Do not select a purchase button by mistake; the wishlist command is separate from buying or downloading.
Nintendo’s Japan support page documents adding a product with the X button in that region’s eShop interface. That button instruction is not universal: labels and controls can differ by country, software version or whether you are using a console or browser. Follow the label shown on your own screen.
Add from a browser while signed in
Nintendo Australia documents adding items from the browser website while signed in. On a phone or computer, open the Nintendo shopping page for the game, sign in to the Nintendo Account associated with your Switch, and use the wishlist control shown there. A browser list can be a different service from the eShop list, so confirm which Nintendo site you are using and do not assume a browser save will appear in the console’s eShop Wish List.

Confirm that the save went to the list you intended
After using the control, check the account context and the service name. A Nintendo Store page, the official Nintendo website and the Switch eShop can each present a wishlist-like feature. Nintendo UK states that the Nintendo Store wishlist is separate from both the Nintendo eShop wishlist and the official Nintendo website wishlist. If you need an item to appear on the Switch console, save it from the eShop or verify that the service you used explicitly supports that list.
Find your saved games on Switch
The console’s eShop list is located under Account Information, not in the general HOME Menu settings.
- From the HOME Menu, open Nintendo eShop.
- Choose the same user account whose list you want to view if the eShop asks you to select one.
- Select your user icon in the upper-right corner of the eShop screen.
- In Account Information, choose Wish List.
- Scroll through the saved titles. Select a game to open its current product page and check today’s price or promotion status.
Nintendo’s Americas account-information instructions and Nintendo Australia’s wishlist guidance both describe accessing the list through the user icon and Account Information. From this screen you can also remove items. Select the saved title, use the remove or wishlist control provided by your interface, and confirm if the eShop asks you to do so.

What the list tells you—and what it does not
- The list records titles saved for that Nintendo eShop account; it is not a purchase history.
- A saved game can still show its regular price, a new sale price or no longer be available when you open it later.
- Saving a game does not reserve a sale price or start a download.
- Changing to a different user on the same console can show a different list, because the list is tied to the account selected in eShop.
Understand the different Nintendo wishlist services
Use the service that matches where you want to check prices or receive alerts. The names are similar, but Nintendo documents them as separate in important cases.
| Surface | Where you use it | List relationship | Notifications | Best use |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Nintendo eShop Wish List | Switch console eShop | Console list for the selected Nintendo Account | Do not assume it feeds Nintendo Store alerts | Checking the live eShop price and managing games you saved on Switch |
| Official Nintendo website wishlist | Signed-in Nintendo website in a browser | Nintendo UK identifies it as separate from the Nintendo Store wishlist and eShop wishlist | Availability depends on that website’s features | Saving or viewing titles while you are away from the console |
| Nintendo Store app wishlist | Nintendo Store app, where available | Separate Store list; not automatically the eShop list | Sales and game-release notifications are supported in specified regions | Receiving Store app alerts for items saved to the Store list |
This separation is the main reason a title may appear on one device but not another. Before troubleshooting, identify whether you saved it in eShop, on the official Nintendo website or in the Nintendo Store app. Nintendo UK specifically warns that the Store wishlist is separate from the eShop and official website lists; treat each as its own collection unless Nintendo’s interface explicitly shows otherwise.

Nintendo’s Americas support page for the Nintendo Store app says it can send notifications about sales and game releases for items on the app’s Wish List. That feature applies only where the app and its notification service are supported. The same support material lists eligible Americas countries, so check the current country list and app settings for your location instead of assuming that every Switch account can receive alerts.

Set up alerts without confusing them with eShop saves
- Install or open the Nintendo Store app available for your region and sign in with the relevant Nintendo Account.
- Save the game using the app’s own Wish List control.
- Allow notifications for the app in your phone’s operating-system settings and in the app’s notification preferences.
- Understand that an alert concerns the Store app’s list. A game saved only in the Switch eShop Wish List may not generate that notification.
If an alert never arrives, first check that the game is on the Store app’s list, that notifications are enabled, and that your country is supported. Also remember that an alert is not a guarantee of a particular discount amount or duration; open the current product page to verify the offer.
Region, account and interface differences
Japan-specific instructions
Nintendo’s Japanese eShop overview and wishlist directions apply to accounts set to Japan. They are useful evidence for where to find sale pricing and the wishlist command, but the Japanese button sequence should not be presented as a universal Switch rule. Accounts set to another country may show different labels, layouts or controls.
Americas instructions
Nintendo Support Americas describes the search workflow, including price-range filtering, and the Account Information path for viewing or removing Wish List items. Its Nintendo Store app FAQ also defines notification availability by supported country. If your account is outside the Americas, use the equivalent regional support page or the controls visible in your own storefront.

Australia browser instructions
Nintendo Australia documents adding a title from the browser website while signed in and reaching the wishlist from the console’s user icon. Browser and console actions can therefore differ even when they use similar wording. Confirm the service before expecting a saved item to appear elsewhere.
Troubleshoot a missing price, sale or wishlist item
The game does not appear in search
- Check the spelling and try a shorter portion of the title.
- Use the eShop’s genre or price-range filters to narrow a large result set, then review every matching edition.
- Confirm that you are using the intended Nintendo Account and its storefront. A title or promotion available in another region may not be listed for your account.
The product page shows no sale
- Read the page currently open rather than relying on an older promotion announcement.
- Make sure you selected the same edition that was advertised; bundles and expansions can have separate offers.
- Recheck the page later if the promotion has an announced start or end time. A wishlist entry does not lock in a discount.
The Wish List is empty
- Exit Account Information and reopen eShop with the user account that originally saved the game.
- Check whether you saved the title in the Nintendo Store app or a browser website instead of eShop.
- If you used a browser, sign in again and identify whether the page was the official Nintendo website or Nintendo Store. Nintendo documents those lists as separate.
- Search for the title again and save it using the eShop’s own wishlist control if you want it on the Switch console.
The wishlist button or shortcut is different
Do not force the Japanese X-button instruction onto another region or interface. Look for the visible Wish List label or icon on the current listing. Nintendo’s own regional pages show that console and browser procedures are not identical.
The app sends no notifications
- Verify that the game is saved in the Nintendo Store app’s list, not only in eShop.
- Check phone-level and in-app notification permissions.
- Confirm that the app’s notification feature is available in your country; Nintendo’s Americas FAQ limits support to specified countries.
- Open the product page manually to confirm a price, because notifications can be delayed, unavailable or tied to a different Store list.
A reliable routine for tracking a game
For a simple price check, use eShop on the Switch and read the product page. For a console-based watch list, save the title to eShop and return through your user icon and Account Information. For phone alerts, save the title separately in the Nintendo Store app where that service is offered. Keeping those purposes distinct prevents the most common mistake: assuming that one Nintendo wishlist automatically synchronizes with every other Nintendo storefront.
