Possibly—but Samsung’s current supported-device guidance reviewed here does not list the Galaxy A13 for its built-in Screen recorder. Check your own phone’s Quick panel: Samsung says feature availability varies by model. If Screen recorder is there, you can use it; if it is missing, Samsung suggests trying a screen-recording app from the Play Store or Galaxy Store.
Does the Samsung Galaxy A13 have screen recording?
Samsung’s current screen-recording guidance lists selected Galaxy models but does not name the Galaxy A13. A separate Samsung Electronics Service list also names some A-series phones without including the A13. That is a strong indication the built-in recorder is not officially listed for this model, but it does not prove what every regional firmware or update will show.
The Samsung A13 support page has manuals for Android 12, Android 13, and Android 14. Those listings do not tell you which version is installed on your particular phone. The title also does not specify whether your handset is the 4G/LTE or 5G version; the reviewed Samsung lists do not identify either variant. An A13 5G owner has reported not finding the control, but that is an individual account, not a compatibility determination.

#1 Best Overall
- Designed with business or budget-conscious users in mind, the Galaxy A13 delivers reliable 4G (or 5G on select variants) connectivity and a large 6.6‑inch FHD+ PLS LCD screen, giving you plenty of real estate for multitasking without stepping into premium-tier pricing.
How to check the Quick panel
- Swipe down from the top of the screen to open the Quick panel. If needed, swipe down again to see more controls.
- Look for Screen recorder. If it is not visible, check whether the panel has additional pages or an edit option for rearranging buttons; the exact layout can vary.
- If the control is absent, Samsung recommends trying a screen-recording app from the Play Store or Galaxy Store. Samsung does not specify or endorse a particular app in this guidance.
How to record if Screen recorder is available
- Open the Quick panel and tap Screen recorder.
- Choose from the settings shown on your phone, then tap Start recording.
- Wait for the three-second countdown. Recording controls appear on screen, including options to pause or stop.
- To find the file, open Gallery and look under Screen recordings. Samsung gives the default storage path as Internal storage > DCIM > Screen recordings.
Samsung says available controls can include audio, video quality, screen size or area, and showing touch interactions. The options you see depend on the device and software version. If the recorder is available, Samsung places its settings under Settings > Advanced features > Screenshots and screen recordings. Menu names and paths may differ across versions.
What can affect a recording?
- Protected media: Copyright protection can prevent some photos and videos from being recorded.
- Recording limits: Samsung’s general instructions say Android 10 with One UI 2.5 is limited to up to one hour or 4 GB. For Android 11 with One UI 3.0 or later, Samsung states there is no file-size or recording-time limit. These are version-specific instructions, not a test of Galaxy A13 recording behavior.
- Third-party app controls: If you use an app instead, check its audio and touch-indicator options, where it saves recordings, and the permissions it requests. App behavior and the ability to capture protected content can vary; no particular app has been verified here.
Samsung’s guidance, updated May 23, 2026, puts the fallback plainly: “If your device does not support the feature, try installing a screen recording app from the Play Store or Galaxy Store.” Read the full Samsung instructions for the general workflow and version-specific details.

- Built around a quad-camera system, featuring a 50 MP main sensor complemented by a 5 MP ultra-wide, 2 MP macro, and 2 MP depth lens, which together enable wider compositions, sharper close-up shots, and realistic portrait effects.
- Reliable security and usability with a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, Samsung Knox for device protection, and the flexibility of a 3.5 mm headphone jack — providing secure access and traditional audio options without compromise.
- Expandable storage up to 1 TB via microSD, letting you boost your onboard memory affordably for large photo libraries, video downloads, or productivity apps — making this device ideal for users who don’t want to be limited.
- Long-term software support from Samsung, with guaranteed security updates in line with Samsung’s maintenance policy and a One UI Core experience that balances simplicity and essential functionality.
Why your A13 may differ from another one
The exact result can depend on the phone’s model code, region, carrier configuration, and installed software. Samsung’s supported-model guidance cautions that support varies by model, and the A13 manuals span multiple Android versions. If Screen recorder is missing, verify your phone’s software version and check the Quick panel again after any available system update; do not assume that another A13 owner’s experience proves what your handset can do.
