Use the Government of Telangana MeeSeva portal’s “Know Your Application Status” lookup. Enter the application number shown on your receipt or acknowledgement; the official FAQ also accepts a Transaction ID. Submit the form to open the transaction details, including the request status and printed status. GHMC birth/death applications and Indiramma Indlu applications use separate status links on the same portal.
What you need before checking
Have the receipt, acknowledgement, or message issued when you submitted the MeeSeva request. Look for one of these identifiers:
- Application number: the identifier requested by the main status page.
- Transaction ID: the alternative identifier named in the official MeeSeva FAQ.
Copy the identifier exactly, including every digit and any letters. Do not substitute a mobile number, Aadhaar number, service code, or payment reference unless that value is explicitly printed as the application number or Transaction ID on your acknowledgement.
Choose the correct MeeSeva status page
The Telangana portal presents more than one status route. Select the route that matches the service you applied for.

The available sources distinguish these routes by service type and identifier. They do not establish different processing standards or different outcomes for them, so do not infer that one route is faster or that a particular status has a different meaning merely because it appears on a specialized page.
Step-by-step: check a general MeeSeva application
- Open the Government of Telangana MeeSeva portal. Confirm that the page identifies itself as the Telangana government MeeSeva portal before entering any application information. Portal labels and layout can change, so use the current official home page rather than an old bookmark or an unofficial status site.
- Find “Know Your Application Status.” On the portal, locate the link or menu item with this exact label. The page includes a field identified for the MeeSeva certificate application number.
- Enter your identifier. Type the application number from your receipt. If the page or the relevant instructions offer the alternative, enter the Transaction ID from the same receipt instead. Check the digits before submitting.
- Submit the lookup. Select the page’s Go or equivalent submit control. The official FAQ describes entering the Transaction ID or Application Number in the text box and clicking Go.
- Allow the transaction-details window. The FAQ says that clicking Go opens a separate window containing transaction details. If your browser asks whether the site may open a pop-up, allow it for the official portal and return to the status page if the window is hidden behind another tab.
- Read and save the result. The result includes the request status and a printed status. Save a screenshot or print the page for your records, making sure the application number and the date of the check are visible.
The FAQ describes the process in its own wording: “After entering Transaction Id/Application Number in the given Text Box and after clicks on Go button.” It continues: “After clicking on Go Button a separate window will open with Transaction details.” These instructions are official portal guidance, but the FAQ is an older page; treat the wording as a description of the lookup rather than a guarantee that every current screen looks identical.

Checking GHMC birth/death applications
For a birth or death service handled through GHMC, do not assume the general certificate-status form is the right lookup. On the Telangana MeeSeva portal, open the separate GHMC birth/death status link and use the identifier associated with that application.

- Identify the link specifically labeled for GHMC birth/death application status.
- Enter the application identifier from the GHMC receipt or acknowledgement.
- Submit the form and review the transaction details and status returned by that service page.
If you cannot tell whether your receipt is a GHMC birth/death application, compare the service name printed on the receipt with the label of the status link. The service name, not the fact that you are requesting a certificate, determines which route to try.

Checking an Indiramma Indlu application
Indiramma Indlu applications have their own status link on the Telangana MeeSeva portal. Use that link rather than entering the application in the general certificate-status field.
- Open the official Telangana MeeSeva portal and locate the Indiramma Indlu status option.
- Enter the application number or other identifier printed on the Indiramma Indlu acknowledgement.
- Submit the lookup and read the transaction details returned for that application.
- Keep a copy of the result with the original acknowledgement.
The available portal information confirms that this is a separate route; it does not publish a different processing-time promise or a separate set of outcome definitions for Indiramma Indlu requests.

How to read the returned information
Request status
The lookup reports a request status. That field is the portal’s current indication of the application’s position or outcome. The official material confirms that the field is displayed, but it does not provide a complete, current dictionary defining every possible label. Avoid treating an unfamiliar label as approval, rejection, or completion until the portal itself states that explicitly.

The FAQ says the result also shows printed status. This is a separate piece of information from the request status. A request can therefore have a request-status value and a print-status value that must be read together when you are waiting for a certificate copy.

Transaction details
The separate results window contains transaction details. Compare the displayed application or transaction identifier with your receipt before relying on the result, especially if you have submitted more than one request.

The page says the number is invalid or returns no record
- Re-enter the number directly from the receipt instead of relying on a manually remembered value.
- Check for transposed digits, omitted leading zeroes, and accidental spaces.
- Try the Transaction ID if the page accepts it and your receipt provides one.
- Confirm that you selected the right service-specific route. GHMC birth/death and Indiramma Indlu requests are listed separately from the general status lookup.
- Keep the acknowledgement available in case the identifier printed on it is difficult to distinguish from another reference number.
Clicking Go does not show the result
- Look for a new browser tab or window; the official FAQ describes the transaction details as opening separately.
- Check the browser’s blocked-pop-up indicator for the official Telangana MeeSeva page and permit the window, then submit the lookup again.
- Disable aggressive content-blocking extensions for this government page temporarily if they prevent the result window from loading, and restore your normal protections afterward.
- Do not enter the identifier into a look-alike website simply because the official result window did not appear.
The result is present but the label is unclear
Record the exact wording, application number, and date shown. The published FAQ confirms that request and printed statuses are displayed but does not define every label or provide a current public processing-time table. Do not convert an unfamiliar term into an assumed approval, rejection, or completion.
The portal layout does not match these steps
Use the current labels on the Telangana portal. The home page is the primary current source for the status lookup and the specialized links, while the detailed click-by-click description comes from an older official FAQ. A changed button position or revised page design does not necessarily mean that your application is missing.

What the portal’s activity figures do—and do not—tell you
The Telangana MeeSeva portal reported 25,13,908 transactions and ₹643.69 crore transacted for June 2026. These are monthly activity figures reported by the portal, not an estimate of how long an individual certificate will take, a guarantee of service, or evidence that a particular application has been approved. The portal also displays a last-updated date of 04-04-2026. Because these dates describe portal reporting rather than your case, use the status lookup and your transaction identifier to check your own request.
Privacy and record-keeping
- Use the official Telangana MeeSeva portal and verify its government identity before entering an application number.
- Avoid posting your application number, receipt photograph, or transaction details publicly; those records can contain identifying information.
- Keep the original acknowledgement until both the request status and printed status show the outcome you need.
- When saving a screenshot, include the result date and identifier but store the file privately.
What to do when a result remains pending
First, repeat the lookup with the exact identifier and the correct service-specific link. Then record the displayed request status and printed status, along with the date and time of each check. The official sources reviewed for this guide do not establish a current citizen-facing escalation route for a delayed result or a failed lookup, and they do not publish a universal processing-time promise. Consequently, this guide cannot give a reliable number of days to wait or direct you to a particular support office. Keep your receipt and the recorded result ready for whatever contact instructions the current portal or your service centre provides.
