To edit an existing post, open Blog management, select the post’s ellipsis menu, and change its Title or Description in the post settings’ General tab. Save the settings, then update the website to publish the changes.

Edit a blog post’s title or description

  1. Open your website in Hostinger AI Builder manual mode.
  2. Expand Blog management in the left panel.
  3. Find the post you want to change and click the ellipsis (⋮) beside it.
  4. Open the blog post settings, then select the General tab.
  5. Edit the Title, Description, or both.
  6. Save the post settings, then update the website so the edits appear online.

Hostinger documents this route in its manual-mode instructions for editing a blog post’s title and description.

What the title and description affect

Hostinger says the blog post’s title and description are automatically used as that post’s meta title and meta description. They therefore serve both as post information and as the metadata associated with the post for search engines. The post’s General settings also contain its URL, author or authors, and publication date.

Hostinger recommends keeping meta titles to up to 60 symbols, including spaces, and meta descriptions to up to 160 symbols, including spaces. These are Hostinger’s recommendations, not guarantees that a search engine will display the text exactly as written. See its guidance on meta titles and descriptions.

If the description does not appear on the post

The description field and its on-page visibility are separate settings. If you changed the description but do not see it in the post header, check the header’s style settings: they control whether the description and other details, such as category, author, publication date, and reading time, are shown. Hostinger explains these controls in its guide to managing blog settings in manual mode.

Post settings versus page SEO settings

Use the post’s General tab for a blog post’s title and description. Hostinger also documents SEO settings for pages, including editable meta titles and descriptions, but those page-level controls are a different route. Its manual-mode SEO settings guide covers page settings; do not use that route in place of the post settings for this edit.

When the updated metadata may show in search

Saving and updating the website publishes the change, but search results may not reflect it immediately. Hostinger says search engines can take from a few days to a few weeks to recrawl and evaluate updated metadata. That is a general estimate, not a guaranteed timetable.
