To obtain Thornblade in Aniimo, search its listed habitat, Sea of Flowers. The official index identifies the basic creature as No. 034, a Grass DPS. A Towerwood form is listed in Rosetower Woods, while Thunderstorm and Prismana forms are also listed in Sea of Flowers. A second route reported by Aniimo.guide is to evolve Budsquire at level 27 after defeating a Thornblade with a party made up only of that Budsquire and using a Sprout Stone; verify those conditions on the current in-game evolution screen before spending resources.
The exact capture interaction, required capture item, controls and menu sequence for assigning a newly obtained Aniimo to the active team are not established by the available official entries. This guide separates confirmed locations and combat information from those unverified interface details, so you can use the current game UI without relying on guessed button prompts.
Where each Thornblade form is found
Start by deciding which form you want. The official Aniimo index lists four relevant entries, with different habitats or elemental combinations. Route 1: search for a wild Thornblade
Choose the destination
- For the basic Grass DPS, travel to Sea of Flowers and use the current area map or habitat information to guide your search.
- For Towerwood Thornblade, travel to Rosetower Woods. The official form page specifically lists that region.
- For Thunderstorm or Prismana, return to Sea of Flowers; both official entries list it as their habitat.
Confirm the form when it appears
Read the encounter name, elements and form indicator before committing resources. A Thornblade found in Sea of Flowers may be the basic, Thunderstorm or Prismana entry. If the game exposes an information panel, compare its element labels with the official listings above rather than relying only on its appearance.
Use the game’s current capture interaction
When the encounter begins, follow the capture prompt shown by your current game version. The available documentation does not establish the capture item, control binding, timing rule or exact confirmation screen, so a button sequence would be speculation. If no prompt appears, check the on-screen control legend, pause or help menu, and the game’s current tutorial before trying another action.
Verify that the catch was saved
After the game reports a successful capture, open the collection, roster or Aniimo-management screen that your version provides. Check the name and form, not just the number of entries. Confirm that Thornblade is present before leaving the area or closing the game. This check distinguishes a completed capture from an encounter that was merely observed.

Route 2: evolve Budsquire into Thornblade
Aniimo.guide describes an alternate acquisition route. According to its entry updated 16 September 2026, you should raise Budsquire to level 27, defeat a Thornblade while your party consists only of that Budsquire, and use a Sprout Stone. The same guide reports that obtaining the Towerwood evolution requires being in Rosetower Woods. These are guide-reported conditions, not a universal requirement confirmed by the official index.
Prepare the Budsquire route
- Keep one Budsquire as the only member of the battle party if the current evolution panel displays the solo-party condition.
- Raise that Budsquire to level 27. The guide does not establish whether the level check is made before or after the required battle, so inspect the in-game evolution screen as you approach the threshold.
- Defeat a Thornblade with that Budsquire under the party restriction. Do not add a second Aniimo for convenience if the condition is shown in your build.
- Carry a Sprout Stone and check the evolution prompt. If the prompt names a different item, level or location, follow the current in-game requirement rather than the older guide wording.
- For a Towerwood result, perform the evolution in Rosetower Woods if the screen shows that location requirement.
Read the evolution screen immediately before confirming. Live-service games can change requirements, and the guide’s conditions may not match every release, platform or later patch. If the evolution does not activate, check the four variables separately: Budsquire’s level, the party composition used for the victory, the Sprout Stone, and the location.
How to put Thornblade on your active team
Obtaining Thornblade and making it an active teammate are separate operations. The available official pages identify habitats, forms and skills but do not document the exact roster-menu labels, controller buttons or drag-and-drop behavior used to assign an Aniimo to the active party.

A safe, version-neutral checklist
- Open the game’s collection, roster or party-management area after confirming Thornblade is saved.
- Select the Thornblade entry and look for an action such as adding it to the party, setting it active, swapping it into a slot or replacing a current member. Use the wording shown by your build.
- If the game offers multiple boxes or teams, choose the team you intend to use and confirm the slot change.
- Return to the field or battle-preparation screen and verify Thornblade’s portrait, name or form appears in the active lineup.
- If the roster shows Thornblade but the active team does not, repeat the operation from the party screen rather than trying to recapture it.
Because no authoritative control map was available for this task, do not treat a particular key, button or menu path found in an old video as universal. Platform layouts and labels can change; the current on-screen prompt is the reliable authority for the final assignment step.
What basic Thornblade does in battle
The official basic-form entry classifies Thornblade as a Grass DPS. It reports an overall Attributes value of 509 and lists ATK 121 and BREAK 53 among its data. These are game-data values from the official index, not a performance benchmark or promise that every form shares the same numbers.

How Sword Dance stacks work
The official entry describes Sword Dance as a stacking skill pattern. Each skill grants one stack, with a maximum of four stacks. Stacks last 15 seconds. Each basic attack consumes one stack and deals 180% extra damage.

- Use skills to build the Sword Dance counter.
- Watch the 15-second duration; allowing the stacks to expire wastes the setup.
- Use basic attacks to spend the stacks, with one stack consumed per attack.
- Because the bonus is attached to the stack-consuming basic attack, do not assume that repeatedly using skills is the damage finish.
The practical sequence is therefore skill chaining followed by timely basic attacks. The entry does not establish cooldowns, exact skill names beyond Sword Dance, area coverage or the damage behavior of the alternate forms, so those details should be read from your current ability screen.
Choosing between wild capture and evolution

Wild searching is the better first choice when you want to see the form before investing in evolution materials. The Budsquire route is useful when you already have a suitable Budsquire and the current evolution panel confirms its conditions. Neither route guarantees a particular form unless the game explicitly identifies that result before you confirm.

AniimoVerse’s build guide, updated 1 October 2026, says Melloblum is the partner recommended in Thornblade’s in-game build panel and names Ferocious Fang as a held item. Treat both as a source-attributed recommendation, not a requirement for catching, evolving or assigning Thornblade to a team. The official Thornblade entry does not state that Melloblum or Ferocious Fang is mandatory.

Use the recommendation as a starting point only after you know which Thornblade form you have. Element combinations can affect the role you want the slot to fill, and the cited build page does not establish that its pairing is optimal for every form, difficulty or patch. Troubleshooting common problems
Thornblade is not appearing in Sea of Flowers
- Confirm that you are searching Sea of Flowers rather than Rosetower Woods; only Towerwood is listed in Rosetower Woods.
- Check the current index entry for the exact form you want. Sea of Flowers contains the basic, Thunderstorm and Prismana listings, but a habitat listing does not state spawn frequency.
- Use the game’s current area, encounter or tutorial information for refresh conditions. No authoritative source here supplies a respawn timer or encounter-control method.
The encounter is not the form you expected
Compare the displayed form name and element labels. Sea of Flowers can correspond to more than one Thornblade entry, so finding a Thornblade there does not by itself identify the basic form.
The Budsquire evolution will not trigger
- Recheck that Budsquire is level 27 or higher if that is what the current screen states.
- Repeat the required victory with only that Budsquire in the party if the solo condition is displayed.
- Confirm that the Sprout Stone is available and usable rather than merely present in storage.
- For Towerwood, stand in Rosetower Woods if the evolution panel names it.
- Give priority to the live in-game panel over the Aniimo.guide conditions, which are a secondary guide report.
Thornblade is in the collection but not in battle
That normally indicates a party-assignment issue rather than a failed capture. Open the current party-management interface, select the saved Thornblade and confirm the replacement or add action. If the game has several teams, check the team selected for the activity you are entering.

Count the stacks and watch the timer. The official description caps the effect at four stacks, gives each stack a 15-second lifetime and consumes one stack per basic attack. A delayed basic attack can therefore occur after the stacks expire, while a series of basic attacks can spend the stacks faster than expected.
