Hometown Giants does not have a separate cancellation button. The series is distributed worldwide on Amazon Prime Video, so stop the renewal for the underlying service that paid for your access: an Amazon Prime membership, a standalone Prime Video subscription, or a Prime Video add-on. Sign in to the Amazon account you used, open Manage Your Memberships & Subscriptions, select the matching subscription, and complete the cancellation through the final confirmation screen.
If the subscription is not listed there, Amazon may not be the company charging you. Check subscriptions managed by Apple, Google Play, a television provider, or another intermediary, then cancel with the company shown on your payment statement. Save the confirmation and note the effective end date displayed by the biller.
Is Hometown Giants on Prime Video?
Yes. Amazon announced that all six episodes of Hometown Giants would be released on October 16, 2026, exclusively on Prime Video worldwide. That distribution arrangement explains why viewers generally see the show through Prime Video rather than through a separate service named for the series.

First identify what is being billed
Before selecting a cancellation control, determine both the company collecting the payment and the kind of subscription involved. Amazon’s billing guidance directs customers investigating an unexpected Prime or Prime Video renewal to Manage Your Memberships & Subscriptions. The account may show one of several products:

The same person can have more than one Amazon account, and a Prime membership can exist alongside an add-on. Match the charge description, renewal date and last four digits shown by your payment provider before canceling anything.
Cancel an Amazon-billed Prime or Prime Video membership
- Sign in to the correct Amazon account. Use the account that watched Hometown Giants and that received the renewal notice or appears on the payment statement. If your household uses separate accounts, check each one rather than assuming the account currently open in your browser was billed.
- Open Manage Your Memberships & Subscriptions. This is Amazon’s account area for investigating a renewed Prime or Prime Video charge. You can reach it from Amazon’s account and membership settings; the exact surrounding menu can differ by marketplace.
- Read the product name carefully. Identify whether the entry is Prime, a standalone Prime Video subscription, or an add-on. Do not cancel a similarly named service simply because it appears in the same account.
- Choose the matching membership and start its cancellation. Follow the on-screen prompts. Amazon may present more than one review page before the final choice, so continue until the account reports that cancellation has been completed.
- Check the final confirmation screen. Record the date on which the membership will end, any stated access terms, and the confirmation number or wording. Marketplace rules and purchase routes can affect whether access continues through the current billing period.
- Keep evidence of the cancellation. Save Amazon’s confirmation email or take a screenshot showing the product, account and effective end date. Retain it until the next statement no longer contains a renewal for that membership.
Amazon’s own billing language describes the situation as: “An Amazon Prime membership or Prime Video subscription was renewed.” If that wording appears in an email or statement, use the membership entry that corresponds to the renewal rather than searching for a control attached to the show.

Cancel a Prime Video add-on separately
A Prime Video add-on is an independently managed subscription. It may be available inside Prime Video while being billed in addition to the base Prime membership. Canceling Prime does not necessarily perform the add-on’s cancellation step, and canceling an add-on does not end the underlying Prime membership.
- Sign in to the Amazon account that owns the add-on.
- Open the Prime Video area for Prime Video Add-on Subscriptions. Amazon publishes a separate management path for these subscriptions.
- Select the add-on associated with the charge or channel you used.
- Follow the cancellation prompts through the final confirmation page.
- Save the confirmation and the effective end date. Verify on the next statement that the add-on renewal has stopped; check the base Prime charge separately if you also intend to end Prime.
If the add-on does not appear, check whether you are signed into a different Amazon marketplace or account. An add-on bought through an app store or television provider may be controlled by that seller instead of by Amazon’s web account.
When Amazon does not show the subscription
An absent entry is a billing clue, not proof that no subscription exists. The service may have been purchased through a third party, or the charge may belong to another Amazon account. Start with the statement or receipt that contains the renewal and identify the company named as the biller.

Apple-billed subscriptions
If the receipt comes from Apple or the subscription was started through an Apple device’s in-app purchase flow, open the Apple account’s subscription-management screen. Locate Prime Video, select the cancellation option, and continue until Apple displays a confirmation and an end date. The cancellation must be completed with Apple; removing the Prime Video app or changing the Amazon password does not cancel an Apple-billed subscription.

If Google Play appears on the receipt, use the Google account that made the purchase and open its subscriptions section. Select Prime Video, follow the cancellation prompts, and retain the confirmation. Make sure the selected Google account is the one shown on the receipt, because a phone can have several Google accounts signed in at once.
Television-provider billing
Some viewers receive streaming access through a television provider. In that case, the provider may control both the charge and the end date even though the video is viewed in the Prime Video app. Sign in to the provider’s customer portal or contact its support team, identify the Prime Video access on the statement, and request cancellation there. Ask for written confirmation and the date access ends.

Another intermediary
Payment can also be routed through another marketplace or service. Review the original welcome email, invoice sender and payment-statement descriptor. Cancel with the named biller, not with an unrelated Amazon account. If you cannot identify the descriptor, ask your card issuer or payment service to explain which merchant submitted it, then contact that merchant directly.
Understand the end date before you leave the page
Cancellation timing is not identical for every marketplace, country or purchase route. The final confirmation screen is the authoritative place to see the effective end date and any access language. Some accounts may remain usable until a paid period ends; others may follow different terms. Do not infer the date from the day you clicked cancel.

- Save the confirmation email, screenshot or reference number.
- Check whether the confirmation names the base membership, the add-on, or both.
- Review the next payment statement for a renewal from the same biller.
- If access or billing behaves differently from the confirmation, contact the biller with the saved evidence.
Troubleshoot common cancellation problems
The page shows no Prime or Prime Video membership
Switch to the Amazon account and marketplace associated with the original receipt. Search your email for the renewal notice and compare its recipient address with the account currently open. If no matching Amazon entry appears after those checks, investigate Apple, Google Play, a television provider and other intermediaries.

You see Prime but the charge is for an add-on
Open the separate Prime Video Add-on Subscriptions management area. A base Prime page may not expose the add-on’s cancellation control. Confirm the add-on name against the statement before completing the cancellation.
You canceled but received another renewal notice
Compare the notice with your saved confirmation. It may refer to a different subscription, a second Amazon account, or a separate add-on. Check every active membership and the biller’s name. If the notice matches the canceled product and falls after the confirmed end date, contact that biller’s support team and provide the confirmation.
The app still plays Hometown Giants after cancellation
Playback immediately after cancellation does not by itself establish that billing will continue. Read the confirmation’s effective end date and access terms. Continue to monitor the account and next statement rather than relying on whether the app remains installed or playable on a particular day.

You cannot find a confirmation
Repeat the cancellation only after checking the membership’s current status; submitting the process twice can create confusion when multiple products are present. Look in the account email’s spam, promotions and trash folders, and save a screenshot of the status page. If the status is unclear, ask the biller to verify whether renewal is disabled.
You want to keep Prime but stop only the video charge
Identify whether the video charge is a standalone Prime Video plan or an add-on. Cancel that product alone and leave the Prime membership untouched. Read the final screen to ensure it names only the intended subscription.
A short checklist for a clean cancellation
- Find the original renewal receipt or statement.
- Identify the biller: Amazon, Apple, Google Play, a television provider or another intermediary.
- Match the product: Prime, standalone Prime Video or a Prime Video add-on.
- Use the biller’s subscription settings and follow every prompt to final confirmation.
- Record the effective end date and save proof.
- Check the next statement and investigate any charge that does not match the confirmation.
What to remember about Hometown Giants billing
Hometown Giants is a Prime Video title released worldwide on October 16, 2026, with all six episodes available through that service. The title itself does not generate a separate subscription control. The control belongs to the Prime, Prime Video or add-on membership that supplied access, and the company that billed you determines where cancellation occurs.
