To buy JK Cement shares, use a bank-linked trading and demat account with a SEBI-registered broker or depository participant. Complete KYC, add money to the trading account, search for JKCEMENT on NSE (or scrip code 532644 on BSE), choose your quantity and order type, check the order preview, and submit it. After the trade settles, the shares are credited electronically to your demat account.
A demat account by itself cannot place an exchange order. You need the demat account for electronic custody, a trading account for order execution, and a linked bank account for payments and withdrawals.

JK Cement’s listing information identifies the company on both NSE and BSE and gives the one-share market lot. The company also reports that 99.78% of its outstanding equity was dematerialised as of 31 March 2026. Its equity is under compulsory demat trading, so delivery shares are held electronically rather than as paper certificates.

What you need before placing an order
A demat account
The demat account is the electronic holding account in which settled shares are credited. It can be provided by the same intermediary that runs your trading account or by a separate depository participant. Confirm the account holder name and PAN details during onboarding so the purchase is credited to the intended account.
A trading account with a regulated broker
The trading account sends your buy instruction to the exchange. Select an intermediary registered with SEBI and a recognised stock exchange, and verify its current registration, supported exchange and tariff before accepting the account-opening terms. The exchange order is submitted through the broker; an investor does not send it directly to NSE or BSE.
A linked bank account
The bank account supplies purchase funds and receives withdrawals. Keep the mobile number and email address associated with your accounts current because transaction alerts and account notices are sent through those channels.

Step-by-step: buy JKCEMENT
1. Compare and select a regulated intermediary
Start with regulation and service fit rather than a headline brokerage rate. Check that the provider is SEBI-registered, supports the exchange you intend to use, and clearly publishes its current charges. The same provider may open both the trading and demat accounts, while a separate depository participant can provide the demat account.
- Confirm the intermediary’s SEBI registration and exchange membership in its current disclosures.
- Read the brokerage plan and the schedule for exchange, clearing, statutory and demat charges.
- Check that the platform offers market and limit order controls and displays an order preview before submission.
- Review customer-support and grievance channels, including how account or transaction discrepancies are reported.
Fees, platform features and support arrangements can change. Use the intermediary’s latest tariff and official account-opening documents, not an old comparison or an unverified social-media claim.
2. Open the accounts and complete KYC
Follow the provider’s account-opening flow and submit the requested KYC information. SEBI describes digital onboarding with video in-person verification (IPV). Read the completed forms and keep copies of the account-opening documents supplied to you.

- Enter your identity, tax and contact details exactly as they appear on your official records.
- Complete the digital verification or video IPV requested by the intermediary.
- Nominate or provide any other information required in the account-opening form.
- Link the bank account that you will use to fund purchases and receive payouts.
- Verify that your registered mobile number and email address are correct before activation.
Do not assume that an activated demat account permits trading. Wait until the broker confirms that the trading segment is enabled and that the bank link has passed its verification checks.

Move the intended purchase amount from the linked bank account to the trading account using the funding method shown by the intermediary. NSE’s first-time investor guidance identifies this bank-to-trading-account transfer as the funding step before an order is placed.
Keep headroom for the charges shown in the order preview. The cash required is therefore more than simply the displayed share price multiplied by the number of shares. Do not transfer money to an unverified personal account or to anyone promising guaranteed allocation or returns; use only the funding route displayed inside the regulated platform.
4. Search for and verify the security
Open the equity order screen and search for JKCEMENT on NSE or 532644 on BSE. Before continuing, match the displayed company name and, where shown, the ISIN INE823G01014. If the symbol, company name or ISIN does not match, stop and ask the intermediary to resolve the discrepancy.
Choose the exchange deliberately. The two listings identify the same JK Cement equity, but your broker’s quote, order book and displayed charges will correspond to the exchange selected. Avoid selecting a derivative, fund or similarly named instrument when your intention is to buy ordinary equity for delivery.
5. Enter the quantity
Enter the number of shares you want to purchase. The market lot is one share, so an order for a single share is permitted. Your chosen quantity should fit your available cash after the platform’s displayed charges; the one-share lot does not remove the price and equity risks of owning the stock.

Check whether the order ticket is set to delivery or the broker’s equivalent cash-equity product when you intend to hold the shares in demat. Read the product label carefully before submitting because order screens can place multiple products beside one another.
6. Choose market or limit order
Market order
A market order seeks execution at the prices available in the exchange order book when the broker sends it. The final price can differ from the quote you saw while preparing the ticket, particularly when available quantities change. Use the preview to confirm the estimated consideration and quantity before you submit.
Limit order
A limit order specifies the highest price you are willing to pay. It gives you price control, but it may remain partly or completely unfilled if sellers are not available at your limit. An unfilled order is not a failed demat account; check its status in the order book and decide whether to leave it, modify it or cancel it according to the broker’s controls.

Never approve an order that contains a different identifier or quantity from the one you intended.
7. Submit and monitor the order
Submit the order with the broker’s confirmation control. Record the order number and open the order book to see whether it is pending, partially executed, completed or rejected. A completed order is supported by the broker’s trade confirmation and contract note; retain those records.
If the order is rejected, read the rejection reason before trying again. Common account-level causes include insufficient available funds, an inactive trading segment, an incorrect product selection or a price instruction that does not meet the platform’s rules. Correct the stated issue rather than repeatedly resubmitting an unchanged ticket.

8. Confirm settlement and demat credit
After execution and settlement, look in the demat holdings view for the quantity credited under JK Cement and verify the ISIN where the platform displays it. Because JK Cement equity trades compulsorily in dematerialised form, delivery shares are credited electronically; there is no paper certificate to collect.

Keep the contract note, exchange alerts and demat statement together. If the executed quantity, price or credited balance does not match your records, contact the broker or depository participant promptly and preserve the relevant order number and messages.
Charges to check before buying
No single fee applies to every investor. The amount depends on the intermediary, its plan, your order value, the exchange selected and the statutory rules in force on the transaction date. Review the current tariff and the order preview before authorising the purchase.

SEBI’s investor charter says there is no charge for opening a demat account and no minimum balance requirement. An eligible BSDA has an AMC of ₹0 for holdings up to ₹50,000 and an AMC not exceeding ₹100 for holdings between ₹50,001 and ₹2,00,000, subject to the scheme’s eligibility conditions and current rules. Those limits do not make every demat account free; confirm whether your account qualifies and check other applicable fees.
SEBI also advises investors not to pay more than the brokerage or charges agreed with the intermediary. Compare the amount in your contract note with the tariff you accepted and raise any unexplained difference through the provider’s grievance process.

Recheck each provider’s current tariff and official disclosures immediately before opening the account. A comparison made at an earlier date may no longer describe the available plans or controls.
Risks and investor protections
Share-price and capital risk
Buying JK Cement is an equity investment, not a guaranteed-return deposit. The share price can move against you, and the value of your holding can fall. SEBI’s investor guidance says to choose a scheme or product according to your investment objective and risk appetite. Decide how much exposure fits your plan before entering the quantity in the order ticket.
Execution risk
A market order prioritises execution at available prices, while a limit order can remain unfilled. A partial fill can leave you with fewer shares than requested and a different average cost than expected. Check the order status rather than assuming that submission means full execution.
Operational and fraud risk
Protect the passwords, PINs and one-time codes used for the broker, bank and demat accounts. Do not share them with callers or messages claiming to represent an intermediary. Keep your contact details current so that exchange SMS and email records reach you.
Record-checking and complaints
Review exchange SMS and email confirmations, the broker’s contract note, the order book and the demat holdings statement. If a record or balance does not match, first contact the intermediary and keep the order number, contract note and alert. If the issue is not resolved, use the exchange or SEBI grievance channels identified in the intermediary’s official disclosures.

- KYC, video IPV and contact details completed and verified.
- Funds transferred to the trading account with room for displayed charges.
