Buy tracks through Beatport.com, complete checkout, then open Collection and use the blue download icon to add purchased tracks to Downloads. From there, download one track or select several for a batch download. The mobile app cannot add tracks directly to a cart; use it to make a playlist, then add those tracks on the Beatport website. The Beatport DJ App can build a cart, but checkout still finishes on Beatport.com.
Without a Streaming subscription, Beatport’s current support guidance allows up to 20 downloads per track. A qualifying Streaming subscription provides unlimited eligible re-downloads while subscription access is active, subject to Beatport’s current terms and content availability.
What you need before buying
You need a Beatport account, a web browser, and a payment method accepted at checkout. The purchase itself is completed on Beatport.com; the mobile app is not currently a direct cart-and-checkout route.

Individual track prices vary by release and format. The available evidence does not establish one stable price that applies to every track, so check the amount shown in your cart before paying. A “Release only” label is a purchase restriction rather than a temporary error: the track must be bought as part of its complete release.

How to add tracks to your Beatport cart
Use the Beatport website
- Open Beatport.com and sign in to the account that should receive the purchase.
- Browse or search for a track, EP, or album.
- Use the track’s purchase or cart control and review the cart contents.
- Continue to checkout, confirm the total and payment details, and complete the transaction.
The website is the simplest route because it combines track selection, cart review, payment, and order completion in one place. Save the order confirmation or order number; support may request it if a recent purchase needs a download reset.
Use the mobile app as a playlist organizer
Beatport says the mobile app currently cannot add tracks directly to the cart. You can still use it to collect music efficiently:
- Create a playlist in the mobile app.
- Add the tracks you want to buy to that playlist.
- Open Beatport.com in a browser and sign in to the same account.
- Open the playlist on the website and add the desired tracks to the cart there.
- Complete checkout on the website.
This workflow separates discovery from purchasing: the playlist is prepared on the phone, while cart and payment functions are handled on the website. The limitation applies to adding items to the cart, not to creating or managing playlists.

The Beatport DJ App can add individual tracks or all tracks in a playlist to the default Beatport cart. Its cart is limited to 100 tracks. When you select Checkout, the app redirects you to Beatport.com, where payment is completed.
- Sign in to the DJ App with your Beatport account.
- Choose an individual track or open a playlist.
- Add the selected track or playlist tracks to the default cart.
- Keep the cart at or below the 100-track limit.
- Select Checkout and finish the transaction on Beatport.com.
Adding tracks in the DJ App does not bypass the website checkout, and it does not turn a Streaming subscription into a required purchase method.

When a track says “Release only”
A “Release only” track cannot be purchased by itself. Beatport’s instructions require purchasing the complete release that contains it. If you need only one song, check whether another version is sold separately; do not expect the individual cart control to appear for a release-only item. How to download tracks after purchase
Add a purchased track from Collection to Downloads
- Sign in to Beatport.com.
- Open Collection, where your purchased tracks are listed.
- Find the track you want to save locally.
- Click the blue download icon beside that track. This queues the track in Downloads.
- Open Downloads and click the blue download control beside the queued track.
- Choose a location in your browser’s save dialog if prompted, then wait for the file to finish.
Collection is the library of purchases; Downloads is the working queue from which the file transfer is started. A track appearing in Collection does not necessarily mean the browser download has already been completed.

- In Collection, click the blue download icon for each purchased track you want to queue.
- Open the Downloads page.
- Use the checkboxes to select the tracks you want to transfer.
- Use the download control at the top of the page to start the selected batch.
- To process the entire queue, use the page’s select-all option before clicking the top download control.
Batch downloading can trigger a browser security prompt because one page is requesting multiple files. If nothing starts, allow automatic or multiple downloads for Beatport in the browser’s site permissions, then retry. The exact menu names change between browser versions. What file location to use
Choose a library folder that is included in your normal backup routine, rather than leaving a working collection scattered through a temporary downloads folder. If you plan to move music between computers or compatible DJ equipment, use portable storage supported by that equipment. Beatport permits transfer to a compatible portable device, but it does not establish compatibility with every player, file system, or storage device.
How to re-download an older Beatport purchase
To retrieve a previously bought track, open Collection, click its blue download icon to add it to Downloads, and start the file download there. This is the same route used for a new purchase; you do not need to buy the track again.

Current download allowance
Beatport Customer Support’s article, updated May 5, 2026, says each track may be downloaded up to 20 times without a Streaming subscription. The allowance applies to downloads of that track, so repeated attempts caused by a failed browser transfer can consume attempts.
After the allowance is exhausted, Beatport says a Streaming plan unlocks unlimited re-downloads. That statement concerns re-download access; it does not make a Streaming subscription necessary for the original purchase.
If a recent order failed
If a download failed because of an interrupted transfer or another recent-order problem, contact Beatport support and provide the order number or purchase date plus the affected track details. Support may be able to reset downloads for a failed recent order. A reset is not a general guarantee that any track can be downloaded indefinitely.

Buying tracks once versus using Beatport Streaming
A one-time store purchase and a Streaming subscription solve different problems. Buying creates a purchased download that you can save and use under the download terms. Streaming supplies subscription access and, under the current terms, unlimited re-downloads of eligible previously purchased store tracks while the subscription remains active.

Beatport’s Terms page, last updated September 28, 2026, lists these primary monthly prices in U.S. dollars:

These are subscription prices, not prices for individual tracks. Beatport states that currency can vary by purchase location and that plan details and fees may change. Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled before the renewal date. The subscription month starts on the purchase date and ends or renews on the same date in the following month. Review the amount and renewal terms shown at checkout rather than relying on an older price list. The governing page is Beatport’s Terms and Conditions.
What happens after cancelling Streaming
Beatport’s Terms describe CLOUD as available with an active Streaming subscription and say access continues through the current subscription month after termination. Do not assume CLOUD or unlimited re-download access continues beyond that period. Access can also be affected if content is no longer available or a supplier opts out.

Beatport’s Terms define a download as a purchased product that may be transferred to a compatible portable device, saved to a hard drive for unlimited playback time, or burned to a CD/DVD, “in each case for personal private use only and not for commercial or public use or distribution.”
- Save the purchased file to your hard drive.
- Transfer it to a compatible portable audio device.
- Burn it to a CD or DVD for personal private use.
- Keep a backed-up local copy in a location you control.
Beatport prohibits sharing or uploading downloads. Its support guidance also says Beatport files cannot be traded. Do not send the file to another person, post it to a file-hosting service, or upload it to a platform as a substitute for licensing.

Personal listening is not a public-performance license
A store download and a Streaming subscription are not blanket permission to play music publicly or commercially. Beatport’s Streaming Terms state that streamed content is for personal use and that public performance requires additional licensing not included in the subscription. Requirements vary by country and by the type of venue or event, so obtain the applicable performance rights separately before using tracks in a public setting.
Troubleshooting common buying and download problems
The mobile app has no cart button
This is expected under Beatport’s current mobile workflow. Make a playlist in the app, then open the website to add those tracks to a cart and pay.
The DJ App will not check out
Confirm that the cart does not exceed 100 tracks, then select Checkout again. Payment is completed on Beatport.com, so follow the redirect and sign in if the browser asks for your account.

Check whether the release is marked “Release only.” If it is, purchase the complete release instead of looking for an individual-track purchase control.
The purchase is missing from Collection
- Verify that you are signed in to the same Beatport account used at checkout.
- Check the order confirmation and payment status.
- Refresh Collection and look for the release rather than searching only by one track title.
- If a completed order is still absent, contact Beatport support with the order number or purchase date and track information.
A batch download does nothing
- Confirm that the tracks are queued in Downloads, not merely visible in Collection.
- Allow automatic or multiple downloads for Beatport in the browser’s site permissions.
- Retry with fewer selected tracks to identify whether one item is blocking the batch.
- Check the browser’s download shelf or download history for a blocked prompt.
- If the transfer failed and the order is recent, ask support whether a download reset is available.
A re-download has reached its limit
Without Streaming, the current stated allowance is up to 20 downloads per track. If the track is eligible and you need continued re-download access, review the current Streaming terms; otherwise contact support if the count was consumed by failed transfers or an apparent system error.
A reliable workflow for building a local Beatport library
- Use the website, or prepare a playlist in the mobile app and transfer the selection to the website.
- Review the cart for release-only restrictions, duplicate versions, and the final individual prices.
- Complete payment on Beatport.com and retain the order information.
- Open Collection after the purchase appears.
- Queue selected tracks with the blue download icon.
- Open Downloads and transfer tracks individually or in a checked batch.
- Move completed files into your backed-up music library.
- Confirm that your intended device supports the files and storage method before relying on the library at a performance.
This workflow keeps the purchase record, the Beatport download queue, and your own backup library distinct. It also reduces the risk of repeatedly retrying a browser download without knowing whether the file was already saved.
