You can sometimes buy a Fitbit from another country, but there is no universal international shipping or warranty route. First verify that Google lists your exact model for your country, then check authorized local sellers. If you import, confirm that the foreign seller accepts your payment and destination, calculate the complete delivered cost (including taxes and duties), and establish who will handle returns and warranty service before paying.
Google Store purchases are region-bound: To buy a device from the Google Store, your shipping address must be in the same region as the Google Store site you want to buy it from.
A parcel forwarder, foreign payment card or marketplace listing does not override that rule or guarantee support.
Start with the exact Fitbit model and your country
Fitbit availability is model-specific. A country can appear for one device and not for another, so checking whether Fitbit is sold generally is not enough. Google Store Help’s regional availability page, checked on October 13, 2026, lists these combinations:

Treat the lineup and country list as live information: open the page, select the exact model, and then open that model’s product page to check current stock. The October 13 snapshot is not a promise that inventory, prices, promotions or delivery coverage will remain the same.

Use this buying sequence
- Check the regional list. Search Google Store Help for the availability page, choose the exact Fitbit model and confirm that your country is listed. A listed country still does not prove that every territory, postal code or seller can deliver there.
- Check the product page. Look for stock, delivery estimates and the precise edition or color you want. If Google offers a stock notification, treat it only as an alert. Google says a notification does not reserve a device and does not guarantee the price or promotion that will be available when the email arrives.
- Look for authorized local sellers. Check electronics retailers identified by the manufacturer or by the country-specific Google/Fitbit support pages. Ask whether the listing is supplied by an authorized reseller and whether the local warranty is documented. A marketplace listing by itself is not evidence of official local availability.
- If importing, test the transaction before committing. Ask the foreign seller whether it accepts your billing country, card or payment method and whether it will ship directly to your address. A seller may restrict orders to residents of its own market even when the product page is visible internationally.
- Write down the service plan. Before payment, identify the return address, the deadline for a defect-on-arrival report, the destination for a warranty inspection, required proof of purchase, and who pays shipping in each direction.
- Calculate the landed cost. Add the device price, exchange-rate spread, payment or foreign-transaction fees, shipping, destination taxes and duties, brokerage charges and an allowance for return shipping. Compare that total with a locally supported device, not just with the foreign list price.
- Save your records. Keep the invoice, seller name and address, order confirmation, serial number, packaging and the warranty supplied with the device. These details can determine whether a later claim can be opened.
What the Google Store regional rule means
Google’s stated rule is direct: To buy a device from the Google Store, your shipping address must be in the same region as the Google Store site you want to buy it from.
If you live outside the store region, changing the site’s country selector or using a foreign card does not create an official shipping route to your home address.
A supported-country friend or a parcel-forwarding address may appear to solve the delivery problem, but it introduces a second shipment and another party between you and the seller. The store may still reject the order, the forwarder may exclude lithium-battery wearables, or a later return may have to travel back to the foreign address. No forwarding service is verified here, so treat one only as a buyer-investigated option.
Google Store US device terms also say delivery is not available to all locations, Google may refuse an order when the buyer is not in a country where devices may be purchased, and the buyer must comply with applicable import and export laws. Those are US-store terms; they do not replace the terms of the source country, your destination country or mandatory local consumer law.

If your country is not listed
Check authorized domestic supply first
Ask established electronics retailers whether they have an authorized distribution channel, rather than relying on a search result that happens to show stock. Request a tax invoice, the local warranty terms and the service contact. A seller can be genuine yet still be importing gray-market stock, which may leave you with a foreign warranty and no local repair route.

Evaluate a foreign retailer
Confirm the retailer’s legal identity, physical return address, trading name on the invoice, authenticity policy and destination restrictions. Read the return window separately from the warranty period. A short change-of-mind return window does not necessarily cover a fault discovered after several weeks, and an international return can cost more than the original shipping.
Evaluate a marketplace listing
Marketplace feedback is not a substitute for authorization. Ask who actually sells and ships the unit, whether it is new or refurbished, which region’s package and model number you will receive, and who is responsible for a defective unit. Check that the serial number and proof of purchase will be available. If the listing avoids those questions, the apparent saving is also paying you to accept more risk.
Calculate the real delivered cost
Import decisions fail when the comparison uses only the foreign product price. Build the total before ordering:

| Return shipping | Who pays if the watch is defective, and whether the seller supplies a label or reimbursement |
| Warranty logistics | Cost of shipping to the service country, insurance and any customs paperwork for a replacement |
The exact tax, duty and brokerage amounts cannot be determined without your country, shipment value and route. Google’s terms make the buyer responsible for applicable import and export compliance; they do not calculate destination charges for you. If a customs bill would erase the price advantage, a locally supported alternative is usually the lower-risk purchase.

Warranty and support are the biggest import risks
Support depends on where Fitbit is sold
Google’s current Fitbit claim guide says warranty terms vary according to the place of purchase. Online and phone support is available in places where Fitbit is sold; when a device was bought in a different country or region, Google tells the owner to consult the warranty supplied with the product. If Fitbit is not sold in your region, online or phone support there may not be available.
That wording creates a material risk but does not prove that every imported device is automatically excluded from every claim. Your result can depend on the purchase region, the specific warranty, the seller’s status and mandatory consumer law. Obtain the applicable terms before ordering instead of assuming that a global brand has a global warranty.
Information a claim may require
Google says a claim may require your name and contact details, the device serial number, proof of purchase and answers to diagnostic questions. For a covered in-warranty claim, the device is sent for inspection and may be replaced if it is defective. For an out-of-warranty problem, you can ask whether you qualify for service, but eligibility is not guaranteed.
Do not rely on older warranty summaries
Fitbit’s legacy limited-warranty page, last updated July 5, 2023, directs buyers of devices purchased on or after July 11, 2023 to Google’s Hardware Warranty Center. The legacy page states one year for new products generally and two years for a resident of the European Economic Area who bought the product in the EEA. It also limits coverage to jurisdictions where Fitbit or an authorized reseller or agent sells the products. Those terms apply only where their conditions fit; they are not a universal current warranty for every imported Fitbit.

Check the practical claim route
Ask the seller or support channel these questions in writing:
- Which country or region governs this device’s warranty?
- Where must the device be sent for inspection?
- Is proof of purchase from this seller accepted?
- Who pays shipping for a defect claim and for a replacement?
- Will a replacement be shipped to your country, or only to the original purchase region?
- What happens if customs charges apply to a replacement shipment?
Back up and sync your Fitbit data before sending a device for service. Google’s support instructions advise backing up before a replacement process, and a replacement or inspection can require you to remove the device from your account.

Inspect the parcel immediately
Photograph the outer packaging, shipping label, seal and device serial number when the parcel arrives. Confirm that the model, size, color and regional package match the order. Test charging, pairing and the main functions within the seller’s defect-reporting period. Early evidence helps distinguish a transit problem from a later warranty claim.

Separate a retailer return from a manufacturer claim
A retailer’s return policy may be the fastest route for a dead-on-arrival device, while the manufacturer’s warranty process may apply after that period. Follow the seller’s written instructions and keep every tracking number. Do not ship internationally on your own assumption that reimbursement will follow; obtain the return authorization and destination first.

Plan for data and account security
Before a return or replacement, sync your data, remove payment credentials, unpair the device and factory-reset it when instructed. Keep the serial number and photographs privately even after the device is sent.
How to judge an intermediary or forwarder
If direct shipping is unavailable, an intermediary may be considered only after independent checks. Verify all of the following:
- The service accepts the exact wearable and its battery type.
- The merchant’s terms allow a purchase for a nonresident and do not prohibit forwarding addresses.
- The intermediary provides a real return address and a defined inspection period.
- Insurance covers loss or damage on both legs of the journey.
- You can pay with a method that offers appropriate dispute rights.
- The intermediary will not discard the invoice, serial-number label or warranty papers.
- You understand who pays when a defective device must travel back across the border.
No forwarding provider or marketplace seller has been verified as an endorsed Fitbit route. Treat every such arrangement as your own cross-border transaction, with its own contract and failure points.
Compare importing with a locally supported alternative
When the desired model is unavailable, compare routes using the same criteria:

| Import compliance | Can you lawfully import the device and meet customs, tax and radio-equipment requirements? |
A locally supported alternative can be the better decision when dependable returns and service matter more than one particular Fitbit model or feature. Conversely, importing may be reasonable for a buyer who has confirmed the seller, accepted the service destination and still sees a meaningful saving after all charges.
Pre-payment checklist
- Exact model and edition checked on Google’s current regional page
- Country and territory confirmed, not merely a neighboring country
- Actual stock and delivery address accepted by the seller
- Seller identity, authorization and authenticity evidence recorded
- Full landed-cost estimate completed
- Return deadline, address and shipping responsibility understood
- Warranty region, claim documents and service destination confirmed
- Import taxes, duties and compliance obligations checked with the destination authorities or carrier
- Invoice, serial number, packaging and warranty terms saved
If any of these answers is unclear, pause the purchase. The most expensive outcome is often not a higher import bill; it is a device that works initially but cannot be returned or serviced when something fails.
