Facebook does not provide a universal Delete all posts button for an entire personal account. The supported way to remove multiple eligible posts at once is Manage Activity, available in the Facebook Android app, iPhone app, and Facebook Lite app.
Manage Activity lets you select several posts, photos, and videos, then move them to Trash or Archive. If you need permanent removal, check the Trash and delete the items before Facebook’s automatic 30-day deletion period expires.
Before you start
- Use the Facebook app for Android, iPhone, or Facebook Lite. Facebook’s current help documentation does not document the same bulk workflow for desktop web or a mobile browser.
- Update Facebook if the menu names or locations differ.
- Remember that Manage Activity only displays content eligible for bulk management. Some activity must still be handled individually.
Facebook does not document an official command, URL, keyboard shortcut, shell command, or API command for bulk-deleting personal posts. Avoid browser extensions or scripts that request your Facebook login details.

- Open the Facebook app and tap your profile picture or the Menu button.
- Tap Settings & privacy.
- Tap Activity log.
- Find and open Manage Activity.
- Use the available filters, such as Date or Activity type, to narrow the list.
- Select the posts, photos, and videos you want to process.
- Tap Move to Trash to remove them from normal Facebook visibility, or tap Move to Archive to hide them while keeping them in your account.
The exact buttons can vary by account, app version, device, and content type. If Manage Activity does not show an item, Facebook has not made that item eligible for this bulk tool.

Filter the list to find old posts faster
Activity Log includes filters for Date and Activity Type. For your own posts, look under Your Facebook activity and choose Posts, then Your posts, photos and videos.
Filtering by year or date range is safer than selecting everything visible at once. It lets you review each group of posts before moving it to Trash or Archive, reducing the chance of removing something you wanted to keep.
Trash is not immediate permanent deletion
Items moved to Trash remain there for 30 days. During that period, they are visible only to you and can be restored, moved to Archive, or permanently deleted manually. After Facebook automatically deletes them, they cannot be restored.

- Open your profile menu and go to Settings & privacy → Activity log.
- Open the Trash section.
- Select the relevant content.
- Choose Delete and confirm.
Facebook’s Activity Log documentation also uses Delete for content that is removed immediately and cannot be restored. Depending on the content type and interface, you may see Delete directly instead of Move to Trash.
Archive versus Trash

What if a post does not appear in Manage Activity?
Not all Activity Log content can be moved to Archive or Trash. Facebook filters Manage Activity to show only eligible content. You may need to open the item in Activity Log and use its individual options.
Tagged posts are a common source of confusion. Hiding a post from your profile does not necessarily delete it. The original audience may still see hidden content in places such as Feed and Search. If someone else published the post, you generally cannot delete it from Facebook; you can remove the tag or ask the publisher to delete it.
Delete everything you shared in a Facebook group
Group content has a separate cleanup feature. Facebook provides a way to delete all posts, comments, photos, and other content you shared in a group at once. This is separate from deleting posts on your personal profile.

For the documented desktop group workflow:
- Click your profile picture.
- Click your name to open your profile.
- Click Options below your name.
- Choose Activity Log.
- Under Your Facebook activity, open Groups.
- Use the group cleanup option to remove your shared content.
If you were blocked from a group or the group is hidden, Facebook says you can still delete all of your shared posts, comments, photos, and other content at once. However, you may not be able to delete individual items through that group workflow.
Why desktop instructions may not match
Older articles often claim that Facebook has an identical bulk-delete interface on desktop. Meta originally announced Manage Activity as a mobile-first feature and said a desktop version would follow. Facebook’s current Help Center, however, documents Manage Activity for the Android app, iPhone app, and Facebook Lite app.
That means a missing Manage Activity button on Facebook.com is not necessarily a fault with your account. Use the supported mobile app workflow instead. Menus may still differ because Facebook rolls out features gradually.

Best way to clean up an old account
- Export or save any photos and posts you may want later.
- Start with a narrow date range, such as one year.
- Review the selected items before choosing an action.
- Use Archive for content you may want to recover.
- Use Trash for content you are confident you no longer need.
- Open Trash and permanently delete the items if you do not want to wait 30 days.
- Repeat the process for each date range and activity category.
This staged approach is more reliable than searching for an unsupported one-click command. It also accounts for posts, photos, videos, tagged content, and group activity being handled by different Facebook tools.

Can I delete all Facebook posts with one click?
No. Facebook’s current documentation does not describe a universal one-click Delete all posts control. Manage Activity lets you select multiple eligible items and move them to Trash or Archive.
Can I bulk-delete Facebook posts from a computer?
Facebook currently documents Manage Activity for the Android app, iPhone app, and Facebook Lite app. The identical bulk workflow is not documented for desktop web or mobile browsers.
Does moving Facebook posts to Trash delete them immediately?

Does hiding a post from my profile delete it?
No. Hidden content may remain visible to its original audience in Feed, Search, or other Facebook locations.
Can I delete all my posts and comments from a Facebook group?
Facebook provides a separate group cleanup function that can delete all posts, comments, photos, and other content you shared in a group at once.
The Bottom Line
For personal-profile content, use the Facebook Android, iPhone, or Lite app and go to Settings & privacy → Activity log → Manage Activity. Select eligible posts, then choose Move to Trash or Move to Archive. Trash is retained for 30 days, so permanently delete the items from Trash if you do not want to wait.
