To create a blog in Hostinger AI Builder’s manual mode, open Blog management, enable blogging if needed, add a Blog section wherever posts should appear, then create a post and publish or update the site. A post saved in Blog management does not automatically appear on a page: visitors need a blog section to display it.

Choose where your blog will appear

Decide whether the blog will be the main content of a single-page site or one part of a multi-page site with pages such as About, Projects, and Contact. If you plan to cover different subjects, decide on categories first; you can later show category-specific post lists in different sections.

Check whether blogging is enabled

  1. In the editor, expand Blog management on the left.
  2. If sample posts are listed, the template already has a blog page or section. You can continue to create a post or adjust where the list appears.
  3. If there are no sample posts, select Start a blog. This inserts a blog section and sample posts.

The current manual-mode workflow is described in Hostinger’s guide to creating a blog in manual mode.

Add a blog section to a page

  1. Open the page where you want visitors to see posts.
  2. Between existing sections, choose Add section.
  3. Select Blog, then click a layout thumbnail to insert it.
  4. Repeat on other pages if you want more than one post listing.

This step controls display, not post creation. A post can exist in Blog management without being listed on any page.

Create a post without using AI

  1. Open Blog management and choose Add new post.
  2. If an AI blog-creation screen appears, choose Skip to go directly to the post editor.
  3. Enter the article in the post body. Add suitable images, video, or other content sections as needed.
  4. Set the post details, then save it in the status you intend to use.

The post header can show a title, description, author, publication date, and automatically calculated reading time. Post settings also include the URL, authors, featured image, categories, and scheduling options. For available display controls, see Hostinger’s manual-mode blog settings guide.

Organize posts with categories

  1. Open the Blog management settings and create the categories you need.
  2. Assign one or more categories to each relevant post.
  3. On the page where a filtered listing should appear, select the blog section and choose Edit blog list.
  4. Under Posts, enable Only show some posts, then select the category or categories for that section.
  5. Save your changes and publish or update the site.

Because a post can belong to multiple categories, the same post may appear in more than one filtered list. The category workflow is covered in Hostinger’s guide to categorizing blog posts.

Adjust the listing and post-header design

Select a blog section to configure its presentation. The available controls include posts per page, columns, gaps, padding, text color, image and metadata visibility, category filtering, background, and optional search configuration. Post-header controls include text style, visibility, alignment, padding, and background. Review the section at the widths and on the pages where visitors will encounter it.

Check mobile layout, then publish

  • Switch to the mobile editor view and inspect each page. Desktop reordering does not automatically carry over to mobile, so arrange the mobile layout separately.
  • Check that navigation is clear and the design is consistent. Add a featured image if you want an image associated with the post’s social preview.
  • Publish the site to make it public. After later edits, publish or update again; saved changes alone do not update the live site.
  • Preview or visit the live site after publishing to confirm that the post appears in the intended section.

For the publishing workflow and custom-domain timing, consult Hostinger’s manual-mode publishing guide. It says propagation for a newly connected custom domain can take up to 24 hours.

Troubleshoot posts that are missing

  • The post exists, but no page shows it: Add a Blog section to at least one page and check whether that section filters out the post’s category.
  • Your recent edit is not live: Publish or update the site, then inspect the live page.
  • The AI flow blocks direct writing: Choose Skip on the AI creation screen to open the post editor.
  • The desktop page looks right but mobile does not: Switch to the mobile view and adjust its order and layout separately.

Hostinger also documents the distinction between post management and page display in its manual-mode overview.
