VirtuaVerse is a single-player cyberpunk point-and-click adventure from Theta Division, published by Blood Music and released May 12, 2020. The Steam store describes it as “a challenging old school cyberpunk point & click adventure set in a future not so far away narrating tales of technomancers, AVR graffiti writers, hacker groups, tribes of cryptoshamans, digital archeology, epic cyberwars and virtual reality debauchery.” Steam store listing.
How to get unstuck without spoiling the whole game
VirtuaVerse advances through examining hotspots, collecting objects, exhausting conversations, and combining inventory items. When you reach a new scene, inspect what you can, pick up useful objects, and talk through every available dialogue option. Then revisit characters, machines, and locations when you acquire something new.

- At a bottleneck, consider whether the missing step is an item, a conversation, or a return to a place you have already visited.
- Check the environment for a clue that supplies an address, code, name, or sequence before trying combinations at random.

Opening apartment: get ready to leave

- Collect the Hoverboard, Noodles, and Meds, and speak with the Strange Gizmo.
- Go upstairs and examine the mirror and arcade machines. Use the Coin Returner to get coins; the right arcade cabinet has a screwdriver and Ultra Glove of Power. When nearby hardware drops a jumper, pick it up. Take the broom as well.
- Use the screwdriver on the right Coin Returner to get the PlaySafe card.
- At the balcony, use the broom on Jay’s poster to uncover the keypad code.
- Open the bed drawer using its buttons, then use the screwdriver to hold it open. Take the credit card from the jacket.
- Return to the keypad and leave by bike.
Pill Street: repair the AVR headset
Spoilers: Pill Street puzzle. The headset needs a battery and new lenses. The guide’s route first clears access to the shop:
- Talk with the Merchant and Smuggler, and try the terminal with the credit card.
- Visit the backstreet bouncer and note the address on the sign.
- Order a pizza to Nathan’s home address and collect it. Order another pizza to the bouncer’s address, Chestnut Street 1. The delivery distracts the bouncer and opens the way into the shop.
- Talk with the Shopkeeper about the headset. Collect the Old Mobile Phone, Holographic Statue, and Screwdriver Kit from the “New New” shelves.
Optional secret achievement: Karma Boost
According to Fruits’s guide, give a pizza pie to the Beggar to trigger “Karma Boost.”

Blade HQ: get the Lorraine 500 running
Spoilers: Blade HQ sequence. This section demonstrates why it helps to revisit people and equipment after finding new items.
- Speak with Jay, Ramirez, and both gang members to obtain a floppy disk.
- The Lorraine 500 needs a monitor and cable. Use the ladder to reach the monitor on the closet, then search the cable box until you find the correct monitor cable.
- Connect the monitor and cable, insert the floppy disk, and watch the cutscene.
- Speak with the characters again to receive the closet key. Open the closet and take the dial-up modem for the computer.
Midgame: find the source code and solve the riddle trial
Spoilers: midgame puzzles. At the Hut, inspect the monitor to pinpoint the source-code location. Retrieve the Game Box near the crashed plane and return to Blade HQ.

For the later technomancer trial, Fruits explains the riddles as arithmetic problems: solve for a number, then use an ASCII table to map that number to a symbol. The guide gives “Mostly there’s men” as 32 and an Ursa Major reference as 7. It also says the keyboard sequence that follows is shown in visual symbols in the earlier Blade HQ floppy-disk video. Watch that video clue rather than guessing a sequence from the riddle answers alone.

Sea map: reach the underwater missile base
Spoilers: sea and fishing sequence. The walkthrough places the underwater missile base in the lower-left area of the sea map. The fishing location is randomized, so its position can differ between playthroughs.

An octopus blocks the Missile Command Center. The in-game fishing book indicates that the bait requires crab, shrimp, and fish. Fruits’s route is to catch a fish and fish eggs, put the eggs in a bottle, and use them to lure a crab. The guide also directs the player to collect a lead wire and hook near a whale carcass. Follow its later combination steps for the remaining sequence; those steps depend on the items and clues gathered along the way.
Space station: use the AVR Drawing Tool and prepare the sequence
Spoilers: space station sequence. The later route in Fruits’s guide uses the AVR Drawing Tool to reveal concealed objects, including a heart, and expose hidden room details. Follow the steps in order:
- Use the AVR Drawing Tool to reveal objects and details in the rooms.
- Obtain a soldering helping hand and use it on the museum image to identify the astronaut’s name.
- Set the control panel’s Lab setting to Open.
- Use anesthetic to remove a brain chip.
- Prepare a drug syringe from the liquid and three ingredients in the greenhouse.
- Use the syringe on the heart.
- Install the Ancient GPU on a motherboard, then set the control panel to H307/Secondary GPU.
How to unlock VirtuaVerse’s secret achievements
Fruits’s 2020 Steam Community walkthrough reports 33 achievements in total, with 29 earned by following the story, and lists these four secret triggers. The triggers below are attributed to that fan guide, not an official achievement-author source.
