The most clearly documented major fights in The Sinking City 2 are Shoggoth and Slither Prime. Beat Shoggoth by activating all three arena devices and shooting its exposed eyes; against Slither Prime, stay mobile, clear threatening summoned enemies, and target its glowing head. The Acheronian Juggernaut is officially described as “mini-boss-tier,” while other encounters are labeled bosses by a gameplay video rather than established as a definitive official roster.

Which fights count as bosses in The Sinking City 2?
There is no consistently established, definitive roster of every boss. The clearest actionable guide identifies Shoggoth and Slither Prime as major late-game arena and final-boss fights. Xbox Wire calls the Acheronian Juggernaut “mini-boss-tier,” although an independent guide and gameplay video also classify it as a boss. Treat that difference as a classification issue, not proof of a universally agreed list.

How to beat Shoggoth
- Prepare before entering. Use the safe room to ready weapons and healing before dropping into the arena.
- Activate all three devices. Keep moving while you locate and operate each device; they expose the Shoggoth’s eyes.
- Shoot the exposed eyes. Focus accurate fire on the eyes during the vulnerability window. Shooting the body before the eyes are exposed uses ammunition without advancing the encounter.
- Repeat the device-and-eye cycle. The pressure increases after each damage phase, so prioritize completing the mechanic rather than standing still to fire.
How to beat Slither Prime
- Load up at the last safe area. Craft and load ammunition before opening the large door.
- Keep moving and find a clear firing lane. Aim at the glowing head when you have an unobstructed shot.
- Deal with summoned enemies before they surround Calvin. Break off boss damage if nearby enemies are about to trap you.
- Make space before reloading. Create distance, reload, then return to targeting the head.
How to handle the Acheronian Juggernaut
Xbox Wire describes this enemy as slow, powerful, resilient, and dangerous in confined spaces. The independent guide recommends keeping space and attacking exposed growths rather than trading hits; that specific tactic comes from the guide, not Xbox Wire. Avoid getting pinned in a narrow area, and use positioning to create room to evade and attack.
Xbox Wire also notes that Calvin can dodge, punch, and stomp, and that stomping can stop Slither worms from repossessing corpses. Those are general combat details, not a substitute for the encounter-specific advice above.
Other labeled encounters and Holloway Manor DLC
The gameplay video labels The Showman, The Onslaught, The Deep One, and Giant Mass as bosses, but the reviewed sources do not establish consistent, detailed mechanics for those fights. The labels are useful for identifying encounters in that video, not evidence of an authoritative base-game boss list.
