To solve the Nyxara Temple laser dial in Black Ops 7 Zombies, raise the dial with a charged Warden’s Blight shot, redirect its beam low onto the south wall, and kill zombies beneath it until the wall cracks. Then shoot the revealed stone head, clear all four Shadow Souls, and shoot the statue until the screen flashes white. This is the laser-dial stage of the Nyxara Sanctuary cleanse—not the separate crystal-beam puzzle in the Warden’s Blight unlock sequence.
What you need before starting
The dial is part of the larger Nyxara Sanctuary cleanse in the Rex Infernus quest. Before attempting it, prepare the following:
- Repair the Nexus Forge with the Void Talon, then align its three cranks until the blue beam enters Nyxara’s dragon head.
- Have a Void Claw, a Pack-a-Punched Warden’s Blight, Shadow Rift Ammo Mod, and Astral Flame available.
- Complete the Veytharion blocks puzzle if you want access to the blue well used to trigger rain during the final cleanse.
The Nyxara Inner Sanctum is a convenient place to farm the Ancient Scroll because of its steady zombie spawns.

Get the Ancient Scroll and make the offering
- Get the scroll. Equip Shadow Rift and kill zombies until a kill triggers the mod and drops the Ancient Scroll. The drop is random. Take the scroll to the central brazier in Nyxara’s Main Chamber.
- Ignite the scroll brazier. Use the Void Claw to pull a purple orb into Pack-a-Punch. Rotate the Forge cranks until the braziers burn purple, then take an Astral Flame and throw it at the scroll brazier.
- Escort the marked zombie. A nearby zombie will be marked by red mist. Do not kill it. Lead it to the Titan’s gauntlets in Veytharion Passage and activate the Titan Trap. Nyxara’s line confirms the offering registered.
Reveal and align the laser dial
- Expose the dial. Return to Nyxara’s Main Chamber and interact with the floor tablet in front of the brazier. Go prone on the tablet and stay there until it slides away to reveal the dial. The wait can extend into the next round, so do not stand up early.
- Raise the dial. Shoot it with a charged Warden’s Blight shot.
- Redirect the beam. Shoot the rings to change the laser’s direction. Use the middle ring for small adjustments. The shared target described by walkthroughs is low on the south wall. One guide describes it toward the far bottom-left; others describe it more generally as near the lava pit. There is no established fixed dial setting or exact coordinate.
- Charge the mechanism. Kill zombies directly beneath the floating dial so their souls feed it. Watch for cracks in the wall as the alignment cue. If kills do not make the wall crack, adjust the beam slightly farther down the south wall and keep feeding the mechanism.
Open the wall and finish the chamber sequence
When the wall cracks open, shoot the stone head revealed behind it. Then kill all four Shadow Souls. They can be on either level, so check both if one is missing. Once all four are dead, shoot the statue again; the screen flashes white when this part registers.

Complete the Nyxara cleanse
- In Nyxara’s Passage, use the Void Claw to move a purple orb directly beneath Nyxara’s dragon head.
- Hit the orb with a charged Warden’s Blight shot. Nyxara’s eyes turning purple confirms the orb is placed correctly.
- If it is not raining, interact with the blue well unlocked by the Veytharion blocks puzzle. Rain starts the following round.
- Get a fresh Astral Flame and throw it at Nyxara’s forehead. Lightning striking her head confirms the cleanse.
Troubleshoot a stalled step
The Ancient Scroll is not dropping
Check that the weapon has Shadow Rift equipped and that the kill actually triggered the mod. The scroll drop is random, so continue killing zombies; the Inner Sanctum’s steady spawns make it a useful farming location.
Nyxara does not speak after the offering
Make sure the red-mist zombie was crushed by the Titan Trap in Veytharion Passage. Killing it before the trap completes the offering can prevent the confirmation dialogue.

The dial stays hidden
Remain prone on the floor tablet until it finishes moving. Standing up early interrupts the reveal.

The wall does not crack
- Confirm the dial is raised with a charged Warden’s Blight shot.
- Kill zombies directly beneath the dial rather than elsewhere in the room.
- Make small corrections to put the beam lower on the south wall, then continue feeding the mechanism with kills.
The aim is described as unforgiving. A community discussion also suggests that a zombie kill may make a wall marker appear and that tiny adjustments can help; treat that as anecdotal, not a guaranteed mechanic.

The screen does not flash white
Look for a surviving Shadow Soul on either level. After all four are dead, shoot the statue again.
Lightning does not strike Nyxara
Check that her eyes turned purple, that it is raining, and that the Astral Flame hit her forehead.
