Before the qualifying race, visit Hibi in the paddock and equip the recommended parts: Enhanced Coolant I, Lethal Velocity I, Burn Protection, and Spark Plugs II. Set Overcharged Autopilot as your ability. During the race, use Afterburner on long straights, not through sharp turns, and use Ramjet to pressure Sebulba when you can make contact without losing your racing line.
Prepare with Hibi before you enter the race
Go to Hibi in the paddock before committing to the grid. The two launch-week guides agree on this setup for the challenge; they present it as a recommendation, not a mandatory build or a guarantee of victory.
- Enhanced Coolant I: Intended to improve cooling and help Afterburner and Ramjet recovery.
- Lethal Velocity I: Grants a speed burst after a takedown, according to the guides.
- Burn Protection: Mitigates penalties while in the Burning State after fully depleting Afterburner.
- Spark Plugs II: Adds a speed boost after a Perfect Start.
- Overcharged Autopilot: Equip this ability; it charges the battery when Autopilot is engaged, making energy available for other abilities.

Race strategy: build speed, then pressure Sebulba
- Get a Perfect Start. Aim for the timing window so Spark Plugs II can provide its stated boost.
- Use Afterburner on long straights. Save it for sections where you can keep the vehicle pointed forward. Avoid spending it through sharp turns, where it is harder to make use of the speed.
- Use Ramjet when Sebulba is within reach. Make contact to pressure him and pursue takedowns; Lethal Velocity I is intended to reward a takedown with acceleration. Do not force a hit if it would spoil your line or send you into a hazard.
- Manage energy and heat. Engage Autopilot where the route allows it to charge the battery, and watch your vehicle state instead of exhausting Afterburner without a plan.
The straight-versus-corner advice appears in the XboxPlay guide; both guides recommend using Ramjet and seeking takedowns. The effect descriptions above reflect guide-reported advice rather than independently tested results.

What to expect from this strategy
The setup and tactics are supported by two secondary guides published during the game’s October 2026 launch week: Sportskeeda modified its guide on October 6, and XboxPlay published its guide on October 7. Their agreement makes the loadout a reasonable starting point, but does not establish that every part is required, that it is optimal on every difficulty, or that it remains unchanged after a balance patch. No reliable success rate, ideal lap time, or expected number of attempts is established.
Star Wars: Galactic Racer’s official site describes the game as a story-driven racing title and lists landspeeders, speeder bikes, skim speeders, and podracers. StarWars.com gives the worldwide release date as October 6, 2026, and lists PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. The qualifying-race setup above comes from the guides, not official developer strategy documentation.
