How to Adjust Brawl Stars’ On-Screen Button Layout

To change touch controls in Brawl Stars, open Settings and select Edit Controls. From there, use the options available in your current game to adjust the on-screen layout.

Where to find control editing

1. Open Brawl Stars and go to Settings.
2. Select Edit Controls.
3. Inspect the controls shown in the editor and make the changes the current interface offers.

Supercell Support gives this route for changing the in-game location of a Pin: Settings > Edit Controls. Supercell also announced customizable control settings for the Settings screen and Training Cave on 14 April 2020 in its optional update notes.

What you can change

The official guidance confirms that the control layout is customizable and specifically identifies moving a Pin. It does not list every button or explain which controls can currently be moved, resized, or otherwise adjusted. Check the choices displayed in your own Edit Controls screen rather than assuming a particular button or adjustment is supported.

If a button does not register

Supercell’s release notes published on 13 August 2025 record a fix for a historical issue in which Attack and Super buttons could sometimes fail to register after players changed the button setup and increased button size on certain devices. That note describes a past issue marked fixed; it does not establish that the problem is currently widespread. See the dated June 2025 release notes for context.

Do you need an accessory?

No physical accessory is needed to use the in-game editor: the documented change is made through Brawl Stars’ Settings. The official instructions do not establish that a controller, trigger, stylus, or other product is required to change the layout.
