Godlike.Host offers hosted DayZ servers with its own game panel, SFTP access and free DDoS protection, if you would rather not host it yourself.
To add a DayZ server to GameTracker, sign in to a registered GameTracker account, open Servers, select DayZ, enter the server IP address or domain, and submit it. To claim the listing, temporarily rename the server GameTrackerClaimServer, then select CLAIM OWNERSHIP OF SERVER. DayZ servers normally use join port 2302, but the query port depends on whether you run DayZ mod or DayZ Standalone.
What you need before adding the server
Have these details ready:
- A registered GameTracker account. GameTracker’s servers page indicates that registration is required before a user can add a new server: GameTracker servers.
- The server’s public IP address or DNS name.
- The DayZ join port. The Nitrado DayZ instructions identify
2302as the normal join port: Add DayZ server to GameTracker. - Access to the setting that changes the server name, so GameTracker can verify ownership.
Use the public address players use to reach the server, not a private LAN address such as 192.168.x.x or 10.x.x.x. If your host supplies both an address and a custom port, copy them exactly from the host’s server information page.

Sign in and open Servers
Log in to GameTracker, then open the Servers section. The add-server form is reached from that area.

Select DayZ
In the game selector, choose DayZ. Do not select a similarly named game or a generic survival-game entry; the selected game determines how GameTracker queries the server.

Enter the address
Enter the server’s public IP address or domain name. Enter the join port when the form requests it. For a standard DayZ setup, start with
2302, the normal join port documented in the Nitrado guide. -
Submit the listing
Use the form’s add or submit button. GameTracker will attempt to locate and query the server. A listing that appears but has no current status or player information usually indicates a query or reachability problem rather than an incorrect game selection.

Temporarily set the claim name
In your DayZ server’s configuration or hosting control panel, change the server name to
GameTrackerClaimServer. Type the value exactly, including capitalization and without extra spaces. This name is the ownership-verification marker specified by the Nitrado instructions.Rank #2

Claim ownership
Return to the GameTracker listing and select CLAIM OWNERSHIP OF SERVER. GameTracker uses the temporary name to verify that you control the server. Follow any confirmation shown on the listing.

Which DayZ port should you enter?
DayZ uses more than one network port, and confusing the join port with the query port can produce a listing that cannot be joined or cannot be read correctly.

Because host configurations vary, do not assume that a custom DayZ Standalone query port equals 2302. Verify the value displayed by GameTracker for that listing and use the port supplied by your host when the add form asks for it. How to find the right address and ports
Use the host’s public server details
Open the server-information or connection-details page in your hosting panel. Record the public hostname or IP, the join port, and—if shown—the query port. Do not substitute the panel’s web-console address, FTP address, RCON address, or an internal bind address unless the host explicitly identifies it as the game-server address.
Check whether the server is DayZ mod or Standalone
GameTracker treats the older DayZ mod and DayZ Standalone differently when querying. Identify the edition in your hosting panel before troubleshooting a query-port failure. The forum guidance specifically distinguishes the two editions rather than providing one port rule for both.

Allow enough time for a restart
If you changed the server name to claim it, restart or reload the server only when your host requires that setting to take effect. GameTracker cannot verify a name that the running server has not yet advertised. The exact reload behavior depends on the host’s control panel, so use its normal save-and-restart process.
Troubleshooting a server that does not appear
The add form rejects the server
- Confirm that you are signed in to a registered account.
- Verify that DayZ is selected, rather than another game entry.
- Recheck the public IP or domain for typographical errors.
- Use the actual join port supplied by the host; for a standard configuration this is normally
2302.
The listing exists but shows no status or players
This normally points to a query-port or reachability issue. Confirm the DayZ edition, then check the query-port information on the GameTracker server’s Manage page for Standalone. A forum report also describes DayZ Standalone servers that could not be added until the required ports were reachable; that report is anecdotal, not a current GameTracker guarantee. Players cannot join through the GameTracker listing
Check the join port separately from the query port. A GameTracker forum report identifies an incorrect join port as the cause of failed joins and reports that deleting the listing and adding it again with the correct port fixed the entry. If you correct the port, remove the incorrect listing first and repeat the add process rather than assuming the old record will update.

The ownership button does not verify the server
- Make sure the live server name is exactly
GameTrackerClaimServer. - Wait for the listing to refresh so GameTracker can see the changed name.
- Open the correct server record, then select CLAIM OWNERSHIP OF SERVER.
- If it still fails, confirm that the address and join port point to your server, not another instance on the same host.
DayZ Standalone query-port checks
Standalone is the case most likely to require an explicit query-port check. The available GameTracker forum guidance directs administrators to the server’s Manage page to see the query-port information rather than relying on the join port. Use that displayed value for the GameTracker query configuration, and keep the join port (normally 2302) for player connections.
If your host exposes only one port, ask the host which port is externally reachable for server queries before changing firewall rules. Do not publish or expose a private management port simply because it is visible in a control panel.
A repeatable setup checklist
- Account: registered GameTracker account and active sign-in.
- Game: DayZ selected in the add form.
- Address: public IP address or DNS name copied from the host.
- Join port: normally
2302, confirmed against your host’s connection details. - Query port: checked for the correct DayZ edition, especially Standalone.
- Reachability: required game and query ports reachable from the internet.
- Claim marker: server name set exactly to
GameTrackerClaimServer. - Ownership: CLAIM OWNERSHIP OF SERVER selected on the correct listing.
What to do after the server is listed
Open the listing from GameTracker’s servers area and confirm that the displayed game, address, port, online state, and player information match your server. If the address is right but the data is stale or empty, revisit the query-port and reachability checks rather than changing the server’s join port without evidence. If the join port was wrong, delete the incorrect entry and add it again with the corrected value, as described in the forum report.
GameTracker’s public server directory is available at https://www.gametracker.com/servers/. The Nitrado walkthrough remains a useful reference for the add-and-claim sequence, while the GameTracker forum threads provide the specific port troubleshooting notes for DayZ editions.
