Godlike.Host offers hosted Arma 3 servers with its own game panel, SFTP access and free DDoS protection, if you would rather not host it yourself.
To add an Arma 3 server to GameTracker, start the server, make sure it is reachable from the internet, and submit the server’s game (join) port and Steam query port in GameTracker’s Add Server form. With the default Arma 3 configuration, the game port is UDP 2302 and the query port is UDP 2303—one higher than the game port. A failed scan usually means that the query port is wrong or that a firewall or router is blocking the scan.
The exact fields and account requirements on GameTracker can change, so use the current Add Server form as the final authority. The port relationships below follow the Bohemia Interactive Arma 3 port layout.

Have these details ready before opening GameTracker’s Add Server page:
- A running Arma 3 server. GameTracker must be able to contact the server while it scans. A stopped, restarting or password-protected server that is not yet listening will not be detected.
- The public IP address or DNS name. Use the address players use from outside your home or hosting network, not a private address such as 192.168.x.x, 10.x.x.x or 172.16–172.31.x.x.
- The game port. This is the port players use to join the Arma 3 server.
- The Steam query port. GameTracker uses this separate port to read the server name, player count and other status information.
- Access to the host firewall and router. If the scan reports a firewall problem, you must be able to allow the Arma 3 UDP ports or adjust forwarding rules.
Search-result summaries of GameTracker forum discussions say that only registered users may be able to add servers. That requirement was not confirmed on the live form, so register or sign in only if GameTracker asks you to.

Arma 3’s default ports
Bohemia Interactive’s documented Arma 3 layout assigns a group of UDP ports relative to the main game port. In a default installation, the group starts at 2302:

For a default server, the values to enter in GameTracker are therefore 2302 for the game port and 2303 for the query port. Both are UDP ports. Do not substitute 2305 as the Steam query port: some third-party port lists label the ports differently, but the Bohemia Interactive layout identifies 2303 as the Steam query port and 2305 as VON.
How to add the server in GameTracker
- Start Arma 3 and wait until the server is fully online. Confirm that the process is listening and that a player outside the host network can see or join it. Starting the server after submitting the form will not help an initial scan that has already timed out.
- Find the server’s public address. If the server is rented, the provider normally shows its public IP. If it is self-hosted, use the public address assigned to the internet connection and confirm that the router forwards traffic to the machine running Arma 3.
- Identify the configured base port. If you did not change the Arma 3
-port=parameter, use 2302. If you did change it, call that value P; the query port is normally P + 1, and the remaining Arma 3 ports follow the same offsets. - Open GameTracker’s Add Server form and choose Arma 3. Select the game type rather than a generic military-simulation entry. Labels can change, so match the current form’s wording.
- Enter the address and ports in their separate fields. Put the public IP or host name in the address field,
2302(or your configured base port) in the game or join-port field, and2303(or the corresponding query port) in the query-port field. Do not enter a range, a colon-separated address, or the server’s RCon/BattlEye port in the query field. - Submit the scan. GameTracker will attempt to contact the server and read its status. Keep the server running and avoid changing ports while the scan is in progress.
- Read the diagnostic result instead of guessing. A message such as “wrong query port” points to the query-port value or a port mapping. A “firewalled” result points to filtering on the host, router or upstream network. Correct the reported condition before trying again.
- Retry after making the change. A forum report describes a server that failed to add initially and succeeded on a later attempt, so one failed scan is not proof that the server cannot be listed.
- Open the Arma 3 server list and check the entry. Confirm that the name, address, player count and online status belong to your server. A listing that exists but shows stale information still needs query-port and reachability checks.
Finding the query port when you changed -port=
The -port= setting changes the base game port. Arma 3 shifts the related ports by the same amount, so the query port remains one higher than the game port. For example:

The last two rows illustrate the offset rule, not additional default values. Use the actual base port in your server’s startup command. If you run Arma 2 and Arma 3 on one machine, or run multiple Arma 3 instances, each instance needs its own non-overlapping port group. Enter the group belonging to the instance you want GameTracker to list.
Do not use a port simply because another game, a voice server or a hosting panel calls it a “query” or “Steam” port. One third-party list labels 2305 as a Steam port, but that conflicts with the Bohemia Interactive documentation. For Arma 3, calculate from the configured base port and use the +1 port for Steam queries.
Firewall and router checks
GameTracker must be able to reach the query service from outside your network. A server can be joinable for local players and still appear firewalled to an external scanner.

On a self-hosted server
- Allow inbound UDP traffic for the game port and query port on the operating-system firewall.
- Allow the rest of the Arma 3 port group when your configuration uses master-server, VON or BattlEye traffic: base port through base port +4.
- Forward those UDP ports on the router to the machine running the server. Check that the forwarding destination did not change after a DHCP lease renewal.
- Make sure the router is not applying a second firewall, guest-network isolation or a “stealth” rule that blocks unsolicited UDP traffic.
On rented or managed hosting
Use the host’s control panel to verify the assigned game and query ports. Some providers expose only a fixed range or require support to open additional ports. The address shown in a control panel can also be a proxy or shared endpoint, so use the exact address and port pair the host gives for external players.
Allow-listing GameTracker scanners
A forum troubleshooting summary mentions allow-listing GameTracker scanning IP addresses when a server is reported as firewalled, but the actual list of scanner addresses was not available. Do not add guessed addresses. Obtain the current list from GameTracker’s own support material or support team, then add only the required entries to the firewall.
Troubleshooting common GameTracker errors
“Wrong query port”
Recalculate from the base game port. With the default layout, a game port of 2302 means a query port of 2303. If your startup command uses -port=2402, submit 2403 instead. Also check that the router forwards the query port to the same machine as the game port and that no other service is listening there.

“Firewalled”
Check inbound UDP rules on both the host and router. Verify the public address, forwarding destination and port numbers, then rescan. If you are behind carrier-grade NAT, a second router, a VPN gateway or a corporate network, you may not have a directly reachable public address; the network owner or hosting provider must supply a reachable endpoint.

- Confirm the process is running and has finished loading its mission.
- Check that you submitted the public address rather than a private LAN address.
- Make sure the game port and query port are entered separately and as numbers only.
- Verify that the server is using UDP and that the firewall rule is not TCP-only.
- Retry after a short interval with no port changes during the scan.
The listing appears but shows no players or stale data
This generally indicates that GameTracker can reach the listing endpoint but is not receiving current query information. Recheck the +1 query-port rule, then inspect the firewall and forwarding rule for that port specifically. A server can accept joins on the game port while its query port remains blocked.
Arma 3 and TeamSpeak are being confused
TeamSpeak or another voice service may use different ports from Arma 3. GameTracker’s Arma 3 entry requires the Arma 3 game and query ports; do not enter a TeamSpeak voice or query port in either field. Arma 3’s own VON traffic is part of its documented port group.

The first scan failed, but all values look correct
Leave the server online, confirm the firewall change has taken effect, and submit the scan again. A later retry has succeeded for at least one server reported in GameTracker’s forum discussions. If repeated attempts fail, capture the exact diagnostic text and ask GameTracker or your host whether the endpoint is externally reachable.

Regardless of where it runs, GameTracker needs a stable public endpoint and an accessible query port. Hosting does not remove the need to submit the correct +1 port.

Keeping the GameTracker entry accurate
- Do not change the base port without updating the listing. Moving from 2302 to another base port also moves the query port and the rest of the Arma 3 group.
- Keep the public address current. A self-hosted connection with a changing IP can make an otherwise healthy listing appear offline.
- Preserve the firewall rules after updates. Operating-system, router or hosting-panel changes can remove or disable UDP allowances.
- Use one listing per distinct server instance. Multiple instances on one machine need separate port groups so GameTracker does not scan the wrong process.
- Check the listing after maintenance. Restart the server, change missions and perform updates during a planned window, then confirm that GameTracker reports the expected status.
