Microsoft Edge on Android saves bookmarked pages as Favorites. You can add the page currently open, choose a folder, rename or move an existing favorite, and remove entries from the mobile Favorites list.
The exact position of the menu can vary slightly between Edge versions and Android screen sizes, but the controls are accessed from the three-dot menu in Edge.
Add the page currently open to Favorites
- Open the webpage in Microsoft Edge on your Android phone or tablet.
- Tap the three-dot menu. It is usually on the bottom toolbar, although it may appear at the top on some layouts.
- Tap Add to favorites. In some versions, this appears with a star icon.
- Review the favorite’s name. Edit the name if the page title is too long or unclear.
- Choose a folder if Edge offers a folder selector. Otherwise, Edge saves the item in the default Favorites location.
- Tap Save or the confirmation button.
Edge normally uses the webpage title as the favorite name and stores the page’s current URL. If you want a short label, change it before saving—for example, save a long product page as “Office chair shortlist.”
Open a saved favorite
- Tap the three-dot menu in Edge.
- Tap Favorites.
- Tap a folder if the favorite is not shown in the first list.
- Tap the saved page to open it.
If you have many saved pages, use the search control on the Favorites screen when it is available. Searching is faster than opening folders one at a time.

Edit a favorite on Android
You can usually change a favorite’s name, address, or folder from the Favorites screen.
- Open Edge and tap the three-dot menu.
- Tap Favorites.
- Find the favorite you want to change.
- Tap the favorite’s three-dot button, if one is displayed.
- Choose Edit.
- Change the name, URL, or folder.
- Tap Save.
On versions that do not show a three-dot button beside each item, press and hold the favorite to display its actions, then choose Edit. If pressing and holding opens the page instead, look for an item menu or an edit control at the top of the Favorites screen.
What to change when a favorite no longer works
If a saved page returns a 404 error, redirects to an unrelated page, or opens a sign-in page, edit its URL rather than saving a duplicate. Copy the correct address from the browser’s address bar, open the favorite’s edit screen, replace the old address, and save it.

Move a favorite to another folder
- Go to Edge menu > Favorites.
- Open the item menu for the favorite, or press and hold it.
- Tap Edit.
- Tap the current folder.
- Select the destination folder.
- Save the change.
Moving an item does not change its web address. It only changes where Edge displays it in your Favorites list.

Create folders for Favorites
Folders are useful for separating work links, shopping pages, travel research, recipes, and other groups of saved pages.
- Open Edge menu > Favorites.
- Tap the Favorites screen’s more options button.
- Choose New folder or Add folder.
- Enter a folder name, such as Work or Travel plans.
- Save the folder.
To place a new favorite in the folder, select that folder in the save dialog. To organize an existing favorite, edit it and change its folder.
Rename a Favorites folder
- Open Edge menu > Favorites.
- Open the folder’s item menu, or press and hold the folder.
- Choose Rename or Edit.
- Enter the new name and save it.
If the folder has no rename option on your version of Edge, rename it from Edge on a Windows or Mac computer after enabling sync. The changed folder name should then appear on Android under the same Microsoft account.
Delete a favorite
- Open Edge menu > Favorites.
- Find the page you want to remove.
- Tap its three-dot button, or press and hold the item.
- Tap Delete or Remove.
- Confirm if Edge asks you to.
Deleting a favorite removes the bookmark, not the webpage itself. You can still visit the site by entering its address or searching for it again.

Turn on Favorites sync
Sync lets Edge make the same Favorites available on Android and other devices signed in to the same Microsoft account. It is also the simplest way to bring existing favorites from Edge on a computer to your phone.
- Open Edge on Android.
- Tap the three-dot menu.
- Tap Settings.
- Tap your account or profile at the top of Settings. If you are not signed in, choose the sign-in option and complete the Microsoft account sign-in.
- Open Sync.
- Turn on Favorites. If Edge offers a broader sync switch first, enable sync and then verify that Favorites is selected.
Repeat the check on the other device. A favorite saved under one Edge account will not automatically appear under a different account.
Important sync behavior
- Changes can spread to every synced device. Renaming, moving, or deleting a synchronized favorite may update the same item elsewhere.
- Check the account. If favorites seem missing, compare the account shown in Edge Settings on Android with the account used on the computer.
- Check the profile. On desktop Edge, different profiles have separate Favorites. A work profile and personal profile can therefore show different bookmarks even when both use Edge.
- Allow time for a connection. Open Edge while connected to the internet, leave Sync enabled, and check again after a short delay.
Why a favorite may be missing

Use Edge on a computer to organize a large collection
Android is convenient for saving individual pages, but a computer is generally easier for reorganizing hundreds of favorites, importing an HTML bookmark file, or moving several folders at once. After making those changes, keep Edge signed in with the same account and leave Favorites sync enabled on Android.

Quick method
For a single page, the shortest route is:
- Open the page in Edge.
- Tap three dots > Add to favorites.
- Adjust the name or folder.
- Save it.
To manage saved pages later, use three dots > Favorites, then open the item or folder menu for editing, moving, renaming, or deletion.

Why are my Edge Favorites missing on Android?
Check that you are signed in to the same Microsoft account, using the expected Edge profile on other devices, and that Favorites sync is enabled in Settings > Sync.
Does deleting a favorite delete the website?
No. It removes only the saved bookmark from Edge. The website remains online unless its owner has removed it.
Can I import Chrome bookmarks directly into Edge on Android?
The practical method is to import or organize the bookmarks in Edge on a computer and then synchronize Favorites to Android with the same Microsoft account. The Android app may not provide the same HTML-import controls as desktop Edge.
