On a Samsung Galaxy phone, start a Canva Pro trial from the Canva app by signing in, selecting the Try it free offer if it appears, choosing the displayed monthly or yearly plan and payment method, and confirming. Before you accept, record the plan, price, billing interval and trial end date shown for your account. Canva says the plan renews automatically unless you cancel.
To manage the trial, open Canva’s profile menu, then Settings and Billing & Teams to see the current plan and end date. Cancel through the service that billed you: use Canva’s Billing settings for a direct Canva subscription, or Google Play for a subscription started through Google Play. Uninstalling the app does not cancel either type of subscription.
What you need before starting
The Galaxy phone itself does not establish eligibility. Canva’s general mobile instructions apply, but the reviewed material does not identify a Samsung-only promotion, device requirement or universal trial length. The offer, price, billing interval and payment requirements can differ by account and country, so treat the information displayed in your own Canva account as authoritative.

- Sign in before looking for the offer. Trial eligibility is tied to the Canva account and payment method, not simply to the phone.
- Have a payment method available if Canva requests one. Canva also says a trial started without payment details ends automatically without a charge.
- Be ready to note the trial end date and the renewal terms before confirming.
How Canva Pro trials work
The “Try it free” offer is conditional
Canva says a Pro or Business trial is available once per Canva account and once per payment method. If Try it free is missing, the account or payment method may have used its eligibility already. Creating another account or switching phones is not a guaranteed way to obtain an offer, and the app should not be treated as proof that a trial is available.

There is no single price or duration for every user
The official help material does not establish one worldwide trial duration, price or payment requirement. Your offer may show a monthly or yearly plan, with the amount and renewal schedule presented during sign-up. Read those details on the confirmation screen rather than relying on a price seen in another account, country or older guide.
Automatic renewal is the important deadline
Canva’s upgrade help states, “Your plan will auto-renew unless you cancel.” Its terms explain that the subscription fee for the next billing cycle is charged when the trial ends unless you cancel before that point. A monthly plan and a yearly plan therefore create different future charges, even though both may begin with a trial.
Activate the trial in the Canva app

Open Canva and sign in
Launch Canva on the Samsung Galaxy phone. Sign in to the account that should hold the Pro subscription. If several people use the phone, check the profile identity before proceeding; the eligibility and eventual billing relationship follow the signed-in account and selected payment source.

Open the upgrade or trial offer
From Canva’s home screen, choose the upgrade or free-trial prompt. Select Canva Pro, then choose Try it free if Canva presents that option. The exact placement of the prompt can change as the app is updated, so look for the Pro upgrade entry rather than a particular icon position.

Check whether the offer is actually available
If Canva shows a trial, review the eligibility and offer information before continuing. If it shows only a paid upgrade, the account or payment method may not qualify for a trial. Do not assume that reinstalling Canva will change eligibility; Canva limits the offer to once per account and once per payment method.

Choose the billing plan
Select the monthly or yearly plan shown in your account. The plan you choose determines the billing interval after the trial. Confirm that the interval matches what you intend; a yearly renewal can be substantially different from a monthly renewal even when both screens use similar trial wording.

Select a payment method and enter details if requested
Choose the payment method offered by Canva and provide the requested information. Not every trial necessarily asks for payment details: Canva says a trial begun without them ends automatically without a charge. If payment details are requested, assume they are intended for renewal unless the account clearly says otherwise.

Read the final confirmation screen
Before tapping the confirmation control, check the Pro plan name, trial end date or duration, renewal price, billing frequency and payment source. Because Canva does not publish one universal offer for every account and region, the final screen is the reliable record for your subscription.

Confirm and save the details
Complete the sign-up. Take a screenshot or write down the end date, selected plan and billing source. Keep Canva’s confirmation email; it can help you identify whether Canva or Google Play is responsible for a later charge and provides a record if cancellation does not appear immediately.

- Open the Canva profile or avatar menu.
- Choose Settings.
- Open Billing & Teams.
- Look beside the current plan for the trial end date and plan information.
Canva says it sends an email reminder before the trial ends. Treat the date shown in Billing & Teams as the working deadline, and keep the reminder email as a second record. If the app displays a different date from an email, review the current plan details and the billing source before assuming the trial has been cancelled.
Decide what should happen at the end
Keep Pro after the trial
If you want the subscription to continue, no cancellation is required. It will renew according to the monthly or yearly plan you selected, and the payment method associated with the subscription will be charged at the end of the trial under the terms shown to you. Continue checking the plan details if you change payment methods or account ownership.
Stop before the first charge
If you do not want a paid subscription, cancel before the trial end date. The route depends on who billed the subscription, not on the fact that you used an Android phone. Check the confirmation email, Canva account billing details or bank statement to identify the source.
Choose the correct cancellation route

Canva advises checking the billing email or bank statement when you are unsure which route applies. Cancelling in Canva will not replace a Google Play cancellation when Google Play is the merchant, and cancelling in Google Play is not the route for a subscription billed directly by Canva.
Cancel a subscription billed directly by Canva
- Open Canva and open the profile or avatar menu.
- Choose Settings.
- Open Billing. In Japan, Canva may label this area Contract period.
- Choose Cancel plan.
- Complete every confirmation step until Canva indicates that cancellation is finished.
- Save the confirmation email and revisit the billing area to verify the plan no longer shows an upcoming renewal.
Do not stop after opening the cancellation screen or answering a retention question. The cancellation is complete only after the final confirmation step. If the account still shows an upcoming renewal, repeat the process or use the billing confirmation email to contact the appropriate support channel.

Cancel a subscription billed through Google Play
- Open the Google Play app on the same Galaxy phone, using the Google account that paid for Canva.
- Open Google Play’s subscription-management area and select Canva.
- Choose the cancellation option and follow the prompts through the final confirmation.
- Save the Google Play confirmation and check that Canva no longer appears as an active subscription scheduled to renew.
Menu names can vary with the Google Play version and account layout, but the subscription must be cancelled in Google Play when Google Play is the billing source. If Canva is not listed, check other Google accounts on the phone and compare the charge or confirmation email with the account that actually started the trial.
Verify that cancellation worked
After cancelling, use more than one check:
- Read the final cancellation screen and retain its confirmation email.
- Return to the relevant subscription or Canva billing page and look for an end date or cancelled status instead of an upcoming renewal.
- Compare the billing source with the account you cancelled. A Canva cancellation and a Google Play cancellation affect different billing relationships.
- Keep the confirmation until the original trial end date has passed and the expected charge did not occur.
Removing Canva from the Galaxy phone is not a cancellation step. Canva explicitly says uninstalling the app does not cancel a Google Play or other mobile subscription. You can uninstall after confirming cancellation, but deleting the app first leaves the subscription active.

The free-trial button is missing
Check that you are signed in to the intended Canva account and that you have not already used a Pro or Business trial with that account or payment method. Canva limits the offer to one use per account and one use per payment method. If the offer still does not appear, use the paid plan information Canva displays rather than assuming a trial exists.
The displayed price or duration differs from an article or email
Offers vary by account and region, and the reviewed help material does not establish a universal price or duration. Use the plan, price, interval and end date shown in your current Canva account. Do not rely on a screenshot from another country or an earlier promotion.
You cannot remember who is billing you
Search the confirmation and billing emails, then compare them with the merchant name on your bank or payment statement. A direct Canva charge requires cancellation in Canva’s Billing settings; a Google Play charge requires cancellation through Google Play.

You cancelled but still see Canva installed
The app’s presence on the phone says nothing about subscription status. Verify the cancellation in the billing system that charged you and keep its confirmation. Uninstalling Canva is optional and does not perform the cancellation.
You started without entering payment details
Canva says a trial started without payment details ends automatically without a charge. Still check the account’s Billing & Teams page and retain any confirmation so you know whether a payment method was attached later.
The trial end date is close
Cancel immediately through the correct billing source rather than waiting for the reminder email. The reminder is useful, but the date in your account and the cancellation confirmation are the records to rely on. If you cannot identify the source, check both the Canva billing page and the Google account’s subscriptions before the deadline.

Samsung Galaxy-specific practical notes
These instructions use the Canva Android app on a Galaxy phone, but Canva’s available offer is account-based. The reviewed Canva material does not establish a Galaxy-exclusive promotion or a required Galaxy model. App labels and menu placement may change with Canva or Android updates; the stable concepts are the Pro trial offer, the Billing & Teams end-date view, and cancellation through the merchant that billed you.
Use the Galaxy phone’s screenshot function to save the confirmation screen, but do not treat a screenshot as a substitute for completing the final confirmation step. If you use multiple Canva accounts or Google accounts on the device, record which account is shown before starting and which one receives the confirmation email.
A simple trial-management timeline
- At sign-up: confirm eligibility, plan, payment method, price, billing interval and trial end date.
- Immediately afterward: open Profile → Settings → Billing & Teams and record the displayed end date.
- During the trial: keep the confirmation email and watch for Canva’s reminder.
- Before the end date: decide whether to keep Pro. If not, cancel through Canva or Google Play according to the billing source.
- After cancellation: verify the cancelled or non-renewing status and retain the confirmation until the trial period has ended.
Bottom line
Start only when Canva shows Try it free for the signed-in account, and treat the plan and renewal details on that screen as the authority. Record the end date under Profile → Settings → Billing & Teams. To avoid a charge, cancel before that date through the service that billed the trial—Canva for direct billing or Google Play for Play billing—and verify the cancellation. Uninstalling Canva alone never cancels the subscription.
