Spoilers for the campaign finale: Shade defeats reigning champion Kestar Bool in the Galactic League’s final race. A walkthrough reports that Kestar then bombs Shade’s podracer before Kestar’s father intervenes. The campaign ends shortly afterward, resolving the championship but leaving the larger fallout largely unexplored.
What leads to the final race?
StarWars.com’s launch coverage and Xbox Wire’s overview place the game after the Empire’s fall, as the New Republic rebuilds. The Galactic League is an unsanctioned Outer Rim racing circuit shaped by gambling, entertainment, and ambition. Kestar Bool is its reigning champion, using his position to intimidate other pilots and build influence. Shade enters with a personal grudge against the Bool family and the aim of unseating Kestar.

The rivalry plays out amid a paddock community rather than a straightforward career ladder. Mechanic Hibi helps Shade fit parts and upgrades, while legendary podracer Sebulba can become an ally after Shade earns his respect. Campaign progress involves repeated runs and tours: a failed attempt can end a tour, although some perks and unlocks carry forward. The final race is therefore the payoff to a rivalry built through repeated competition.

The detailed finale sequence comes from QuestDuo’s campaign walkthrough, rather than an official plot synopsis. Its account is:

- Shade faces Kestar at Derven Acos. The walkthrough describes the last championship event as a two-lap race.
- Shade wins the Galactic League championship. The race settles the immediate contest between the challenger and the reigning champion.
- Kestar bombs Shade’s podracer after the victory. The walkthrough reports that Kestar’s father then intervenes physically, striking Kestar.
- The campaign stops there. The walkthrough reports no further campaign events or objectives after the scene.
What does the ending resolve—and leave open?
Shade’s win answers the central sporting question: Kestar is no longer the champion, and the racer who challenged the Bool family’s dominance has taken the title. But the reported attack immediately complicates the victory. The finale moves from a decisive race result to a confrontation, then ends without developing what happens next.
That gap is why the ending can feel abrupt rather than like a complete resolution. GamesRadar+ reviewer Will Sawyer says he completed the campaign and characterizes its ending as abrupt, leaving him wanting more story. That is a reviewer’s assessment of the narrative’s closure—not confirmation of an intended cliffhanger or a sequel.

The available accounts establish the championship result and report the immediate post-race scene; they do not establish that Kestar is arrested, that Shade liberates a planet, or that the Galactic League is permanently reformed.
