Nuvia is a dark-mode SaaS landing-page template built around an interactive 3D shader mesh. Its author describes a stack in which React and Next.js provide the component architecture, React Three Fiber and Three.js render the 3D scene, GSAP handles scroll animations and micro-interactions, and Tailwind CSS styles the interface. The project announcement does not include source code or a step-by-step build, so the clearest way to understand it is to look at the role each tool plays—and the performance tradeoff that comes with interactive 3D.

How the Nuvia stack divides the work

The tools serve different layers rather than competing to do the same job. React and Next.js organize the page as components; React Three Fiber connects a Three.js scene to React; GSAP orchestrates motion; and Tailwind CSS supplies the styling.

Layer Tool Role described for Nuvia
Page architecture React and Next.js Component-based structure for the landing page
3D rendering React Three Fiber and Three.js Interactive 3D shader mesh
Animation GSAP Scroll animations and micro-interactions
Styling Tailwind CSS Visual styling of the interface

React Three Fiber (R3F) is a React renderer for Three.js. Its documentation describes building declarative, reusable, interactive scene components within React. This makes it the bridge between the page’s React component model and the 3D scene; Three.js remains the underlying 3D library. See the React Three Fiber introduction.

What GSAP contributes—and what it does not

GSAP is the animation layer, not the 3D renderer. Its core provides tweens and timelines for coordinating changes over time, while plugin capabilities include scroll animation. In Nuvia, the author says GSAP is used for scroll animations and small interface interactions, but does not publish the specific animation setup or timeline. The GSAP documentation explains its core and plugin capabilities.

Elebase USB to USB C Adapter for iPhone 18 Pro Max,USBC Car Charger Adapter
  • Read Before You Buy — No Video Output: These adapters support charging and USB 2.0 data transfer, but cannot transmit video signals. Except for standard USB webcams (which use USB data only), they are not compatible with HDMI/DisplayPort cables, video-capable USB-C hubs, or docking stations with video output.
  • Convert USB-A Ports to USB-C: Designed to connect USB-C earphones, cables, flash drives, card readers, and other USB-C accessories to standard USB-A ports. Plug-and-play with no drivers or software required.
  • Aluminum Alloy Housing: Built with a sturdy aluminum alloy shell that aids in heat dissipation and protects against daily wear and scratches. Designed to maintain a stable and secure connection.
  • Compact & Travel-Friendly: The ultra-compact design allows the adapter to stay plugged into your device without blocking adjacent ports or adding bulk, reducing wear and tear on your original USB ports.
  • 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.

This division is useful when planning a similar page: use the 3D renderer to draw and update the scene, then use an animation library to coordinate motion that belongs to the page experience. The project announcement does not disclose how the mesh shader is written or how its animation is connected to scrolling.

The tradeoff: 3D interaction costs rendering work

An animated 3D element can add depth and visual interest, but WebGL rendering consumes device resources. The cost varies with the scene and the device; there is no published Nuvia benchmark, and the author’s request for feedback about how performance feels is not a measured result.

React Three Fiber’s performance guidance recommends considering on-demand rendering for scenes that can settle into an idle state. Rendering only when something changes can avoid unnecessary continuous work; the documentation cautions that always-on rendering can drain batteries and increase fan activity. It also discusses monitoring performance and adapting quality to the device. These are general R3F practices, not confirmed features of Nuvia. See R3F’s scaling performance guidance.

For a comparable project, decide early which parts truly need continuous motion. A scene that can pause when interaction ends may have different rendering needs from one that animates constantly. Check the experience on the range of devices you intend to support, and consider what users should see if 3D performance is limited. The Nuvia announcement does not specify a fallback or device-testing approach.

Check React and React Three Fiber version compatibility

R3F’s major version is paired with a React major: the documentation identifies R3F 8 with React 18 and R3F 9 with React 19. Confirm the current compatibility guidance when setting up a project, because versions can change. Nuvia’s author does not state which versions the template uses, so those pairings should not be read as its implementation details.
