HP OMEN laptops do not have one standard weight. In HP’s published specifications, selected OMEN 16 models and series start at 2.39–2.44 kg, while a named OMEN 16-b0005nj model is listed at 2.31 kg. The right figure depends on the exact model, configuration, and whether the specification is for the laptop or its package.
HP OMEN weight examples
These HP specifications cover different products and are not a controlled comparison of identical configurations. Series starting weights should not be treated as the weight of every configuration in that series.

How to find the weight for your OMEN
Look up the full model number, not just “OMEN” or “OMEN 16.” HP’s examples show that products within the broader OMEN family have different listed figures, and a series-level starting weight does not identify the weight of every configuration.

- Confirm the complete model or product number on the laptop’s label, in system information, or on its purchase documentation.
- On HP’s support or product page, match that number to the specification entry; check regional pages where the model is sold.
- Read whether the entry says “starting at” or gives a model-specific weight, and check any qualification about configuration or components.
- Use the laptop weight for the device itself. Do not substitute package weight, which includes the packaged product rather than just the laptop.
How to compare OMEN weights fairly
Before deciding that one OMEN is more portable, compare the exact models and configurations and check that the figures describe the same thing. Screen size and generation are useful context, but the published examples here do not establish a standardized cross-generation measurement method. A small difference between listed figures alone is not enough to determine how portable two laptops will feel in everyday use.
