Markify is a Markdown editor for macOS that lets you work in a rendered-document view or switch to the underlying Markdown source. Its single-page approach is meant for readers who want to edit headings, tables, code, math, and images in context rather than keep a separate preview pane open. How Markify’s two editing views work
Markify’s central idea is to let you write Markdown while seeing the document as formatted text. The repository describes a rendered lens and a Markdown lens on one writing surface, toggled with ⌘/. In the rendered lens, the app says you can edit elements such as headings, tables, code, math, and images in place. The Markdown lens exposes the source for direct editing.
This differs from a common Markdown workflow in which the editor and rendered preview occupy separate panes. For writing assistance, the README lists on-device Apple Intelligence Writing Tools. That capability requires compatible hardware with Apple Intelligence enabled; it should not be assumed to work on every Mac. Check compatibility before downloading
The project README lists macOS 26 Tahoe or later and provides separate downloads for Apple Silicon and Intel Macs. Install and open Markify
