Dave the Diver connects daytime exploration in the Blue Hole to nighttime sushi restaurant management: Dave catches fish on dives, then uses the haul to supply the restaurant. The dive gathers resources; the restaurant turns them into the next part of the game’s loop.
How the dive and restaurant fit together
MINTROCKET describes the game as having two main activities: “Blue Hole exploration” and “Sushi restaurant operation.” They are linked rather than separate modes. What Dave catches underwater supplies the food served at the restaurant after dark.

During the exploration phase, Dave goes into the Blue Hole and catches fish for the restaurant. The dive also carries a risk: MINTROCKET’s official press materials say items acquired during exploration disappear if Dave dies. That makes the gathering phase a choice between continuing to explore and returning with what has been collected.

Why the loop matters
The two activities give each other a purpose. Diving is more than a standalone fishing activity because the catch supports the sushi restaurant. Restaurant management, in turn, is tied to what the player gathers underwater. The result is a recurring cycle: explore and catch fish by day, then use the haul in the restaurant at night.
