CaseMap+ AI gives litigation teams a structured workspace for connecting facts, documents, people, issues, and research, then turning that material into timelines, chronologies, and reports. Its source links and citation indicators can make verification easier, but they do not replace checking the underlying authority or evidence before relying on a proposition.
What CaseMap+ AI is designed to do
LexisNexis presents CaseMap+ AI as a centralized litigation case-management and analysis platform. Teams can organize case evidence, facts, people, issues, documents, and research in a collaborative workspace, then search, filter, and sort that material. The product page also describes fact timelines and chronologies, document and deposition-transcript summaries, interactive case analysis, and report creation. LexisNexis product overview
The workflow is intended to help a team see how information relates to a case, not merely store files. LexisNexis Support describes uses that include spotting information gaps during discovery, preparing reports for internal staff, clients, and courts, and preserving case knowledge for later work. How to record research so a report can be checked
CaseMap+ supports research linked from Lexis as well as material on non-Lexis websites. A useful record should preserve enough context for another team member to identify the source, understand why it matters, and check the proposition against the original material.
#1 Best Overall
- Record the source and date. For non-Lexis material, the support workflow lets users enter a title and URL, optionally identify the host or source, choose a research type, and set the document date.
- Capture relevant context. Add context, quotations, and tags as appropriate so the research card retains the material the team is relying on.
- Connect it to an issue. Associate the research with the case issue it supports, making the relationship visible alongside its tags and quotes.
- Open and inspect the source. The record can open the linked web source. Check the original text and surrounding context before using a quotation or legal proposition in a report.
These fields and actions are described in the LexisNexis Support workflow for adding research. Preserving source details and issue links improves traceability; it does not establish that the source supports every statement attached to it.
What citation handling does—and does not—verify
For Lexis-linked research, CaseMap+ can accept a legal citation and populate information such as title, source, and date from Lexis. Compatible citations may display a Shepard Signal. That signal is useful as a citation-status indicator, but its availability depends on the source and how the research was added.

- EMPLOYEE MANAGEMENT: The attorney-developed 50-State Compliant Job Application Long complies with "ban-the-box" rules (to eliminate unnecessary hiring barriers facing applicants with criminal records) and is so thorough it's almost a "mini-interview"!
- HIRING FORM: Simplify the hiring process by focusing on the essentials. The form includes all legal disclosures in compliance with all 50-states. It also provides legal protection against "failure-to-hire" claims by establishing a 30-day active period.
- JOB APPLICATIONS: The form allows businesses to collect more detailed contact and reference information including cell phone number and e-mail addresses. Additionally it is an excellent resource for gathering more information on skills, qualifications, employment history and details on gaps in history.
- DIMENSIONS & PACKAGING: The Job Application is printed in color and measures 17" x 11", which is folded to 8.5" x 11". It is a double-sided 4-page form. The forms are sold as a pack of 50 and include a ComplyRight tips sheet for optimal, compliant use.
- COMPLYRIGHT: At ComplyRight, our mission is to free employers from the burden of tracking and complying with the complex web of federal, state and local employment laws. ComplyRight is the market leader in government compliant products such as tax forms, tax software, HR products and services, labor law solutions, and health insurance claim forms.
LexisNexis Support cautions, “Not all citations are available in Lexis or Lexis+.” It also explains that research added through other means is not automatically checked in the same way. A linked citation or signal therefore should not be treated as a substitute for opening the authority, confirming its current status, and checking that the cited passage supports the precise proposition in the report. See the research-entry guidance and Lexis citation guidance.

LexisNexis says CaseMap+ AI creates topical summaries of documents and transcripts. Its product page states: “CaseMap+ AI generates topical summaries of documents and transcripts, identifying key facts, entities, and issues.” The page further describes transcript analysis that can surface facts, entities, and issues for review and conversion into Facts. Summaries are editable and intended for review and refinement. LexisNexis product overview
These are vendor descriptions, not independent accuracy findings. Treat a summary as a navigation and analysis aid: inspect the relevant document or transcript passages, validate names, dates, and context, and decide whether each proposed fact belongs in the case record. LexisNexis also says it does not use customer data to train AI models; that is a vendor statement, not an independent audit conclusion.
Reports, integrations, and adjacent tools
The product page describes reports for timelines, fact chronologies, and evaluations, including heatmaps. It names iManage and RelativityOne as integrations through which documents and metadata can be sent to CaseMap+ AI. Sanction is identified as a related tool for managing exhibits and presenting evidence in live depositions or at trial. These references describe product capabilities and relationships; they do not establish that every organization’s configuration, edition, or workflow includes them. LexisNexis product overview
