There is no evidence-based overall winner between Host Europe and InMotion Hosting. Choose by your audience’s location, the exact hosting product and server location you need, and the full cost over your intended term. Host Europe publishes euro-priced shared plans and managed WordPress features; InMotion identifies an Amsterdam data center and offers a broader catalog that includes shared, WordPress, VPS, dedicated, and reseller hosting. Provider pages do not establish which host is faster or more reliable in a matched test.
What each host offers
The providers overlap, but their published catalogs and details differ. Host Europe’s English pages make its shared-plan limits and some terms relatively explicit. InMotion’s pricing catalog spans more hosting categories, while its European hosting page identifies an Amsterdam location. These are provider-published details, not independent evaluations of service quality.
Host Europe shared hosting
On its English shared-hosting page, Host Europe lists three tiers. The displayed prices include 19% tax and each tier has a one-time €9.99 setup fee. The page states a one-month minimum term and a one-month cancellation period. Treat these as page-displayed terms, not a guaranteed quote for every customer or future date.

#1 Best Overall
Host Europe managed WordPress
Host Europe sells dedicated managed WordPress tiers. Its page describes one-click setup and migration, SSL, daily malware scans on listed packages, and daily backups with one-click restore. Deluxe and higher tiers include one-click staging. Support is described as available around the clock every day.
There is no single representative WordPress price to quote without choosing a term: the page shows different monthly equivalents for one-month, annual, and 24-month terms, as well as setup charges and renewal conditions. It also says domain and professional email products are separate and may have their own renewal terms. Check the selected tier and contract term on the Host Europe WordPress hosting page before comparing totals.
InMotion Hosting
InMotion’s European hosting page identifies its European data center as a Digital Realty facility in Amsterdam, Netherlands. It presents shared, VPS, dedicated, reseller, and WordPress offerings. Its pricing page lists plan-specific features, including NVMe storage, unmetered bandwidth on selected WordPress tiers, free SSL, security features, backups, and migrations in relevant sections. Some referenced plans allow a choice of US or EU data-center location; verify that this applies to the exact plan you intend to buy.
InMotion’s pricing page displays introductory and renewal rates. Promotional pricing is for new customers, not upgrades on existing plans. It also advertises “Up to 90-Day Money-Back Guarantee”; eligibility and conditions vary by plan, so check the applicable terms rather than assuming every product has the same guarantee. See the InMotion pricing page and its European hosting page for current plan details.

Which host has a European data center?
InMotion’s European hosting page names Amsterdam, Netherlands, as its European data-center location. Its pricing page says that some listed plans let customers select a US or EU location. Confirm availability for the specific product and checkout configuration: an option described for certain plans is not necessarily available across the catalog.
Host Europe’s English shared-hosting page gives prices and plan limits but does not establish the hosting-server location for each tier. Its name or German-facing pricing context is not enough to conclude that a particular plan’s server is in Germany. If server geography is important for latency, regulation, or contractual reasons, ask the provider to confirm the selected plan’s actual location.
Rank #4
Which is better for WordPress?
Host Europe is the more clearly documented choice in the reviewed pages for managed WordPress-specific features: it lists daily malware scans and backups, one-click restore, and staging on Deluxe and higher tiers. Its page also describes one-click migration and round-the-clock support. These are features and availability claims from the provider, not independent findings about security or support quality.

The pages do not establish that its WordPress service is managed to the same scope as Host Europe’s, or that equivalent backup retention, restore, staging, and migration terms apply. Compare those details on the exact plans rather than treating all WordPress-branded hosting as equivalent.

How to compare the real cost
A headline monthly price can hide material differences. Compare the same hosting type, contract length, currency, tax treatment, setup charges, and renewal period. For InMotion, distinguish introductory rates for new customers from renewal rates; for Host Europe, include the displayed setup fee and check the contract-specific renewal terms. Add separately billed products such as domains or professional email only if you need them, and account for their own renewal schedules.
- Choose the product class. Compare shared hosting with shared hosting, or managed WordPress with a genuinely equivalent WordPress plan; do not compare unlike tiers just because both show a monthly price.
- Set the time horizon. Record the initial term, the renewal rate and interval, and whether the displayed monthly figure is an equivalent for a longer prepayment.
- Normalize the amount payable. Include taxes, setup charges, currency conversion at a stated date, and any required add-ons. Do not assume that a listed amount is a final checkout total.
- Check exit terms. Review minimum term, cancellation notice, money-back eligibility, and any exceptions for the specific plan and customer type.
Because prices, promotions, renewal terms, and plan features can change, recheck the provider pages immediately before purchase. A price on a provider page is not a promise that the same offer will remain available.
How to choose for your site
- Consider Host Europe if its euro-priced terms, shared-plan limits, or managed WordPress tools match your needs and budget. Confirm the server location for the plan rather than inferring it from the provider’s name.
- Consider InMotion if Amsterdam is a suitable European location and the specific plan’s resource limits, location choices, and terms fit your workload. Verify that the desired location and features are available on that plan.
- Choose based on your audience. Identify where visitors are, then confirm the actual server location offered for the selected tier. The provider’s headquarters or market orientation alone does not settle this.
- Match the service to the site. Account for the CMS, number of sites, storage and resource needs, and whether managed maintenance, staging, backups, email, or migration support matters.
- Compare support terms carefully. Host Europe says its WordPress support is available around the clock, and InMotion advertises 24/7 human support. Those availability statements do not measure response times or resolution quality.
Is either host faster or more reliable?
The provider pages reviewed do not provide a controlled, head-to-head test of Host Europe and InMotion for speed, uptime, support response, or total cost under a matched workload. Performance and reliability language on a provider page is not a comparative result. There is not enough evidence here to name a tested winner; make the decision on verified plan terms and your requirements instead.
