Horseclub is a free WordPress theme for equestrian businesses, with separate block-theme and Elementor editions. Choose the block edition for a new site you want to edit in WordPress’s Site Editor; choose the Elementor edition if your site already uses Elementor. The block edition also includes basic booking, contact, and newsletter forms, but form submissions go to the site administrator by default rather than directly into a booking or mailing-list service.
Which Horseclub edition should you choose?
| Consideration | Block edition | Elementor edition |
|---|---|---|
| Editing | WordPress Site Editor; page sections are provided as block patterns. | Elementor-based editing. |
| Additional plugin | The publisher says no extra plugin is needed for the theme’s built-in forms and features. | Requires the free Elementor plugin. |
| Best fit | New WordPress sites. | Sites already built with Elementor. |
| Publisher page | Download and live demo. | GitHub source and Elementor demo. |
These are the publisher’s descriptions, not results from independent testing. Horseclub is distinct from the similarly named paid “Horse Club – Equestrian WordPress Theme” by UsefulPixels on ThemeForest.
What does the theme include?
Horseclub is designed for riding schools, equestrian clubs, and livery yards. Its listed page sections and patterns cover courses with prices, services, events, membership plans, reviews, a gallery, and a video introduction. The block edition advertises 21 insertable patterns and eight color palettes; these are publisher-listed feature counts, not independent performance measures.
On a new site, the publisher says activation creates Home, About, Services, Training, Events, Pricing, Blog, and Contact pages, along with a matching menu. On a site that already has pages, it leaves those pages in place. The contact page includes an OpenStreetMap embed that the site owner can replace with a map for the yard.

Do you need a separate forms plugin?
For the block edition’s basic booking, contact, and newsletter forms, the publisher says no separate form plugin is required. That does not mean the forms automatically connect to other services: their default behavior is to email the WordPress administrator.
Where do booking requests go?
The booking form collects a name, email address, phone number, preferred date, and note. Submissions go to the site’s administrator email by default. The publisher documents a filter for handing submissions to a booking system; when that filter is used, the theme does not send its own email.

Does the newsletter form connect to Mailchimp?
No—not by itself. By default, a signup is emailed to the administrator. The publisher describes a filter for connecting a mailing-list provider, so a direct integration requires additional configuration rather than simply entering a Mailchimp account in the form.
What does the publisher say about form handling?
The product page says submissions are server-validated, use a nonce and honeypot, and work with JavaScript turned off. These are publisher claims; the form code and email delivery have not been independently verified here. Configure and test the form on your own site before relying on it for customer inquiries.
Can you sell lessons or vouchers?
WooCommerce is optional. The publisher says Horseclub styles WooCommerce for sales such as lessons, vouchers, or tack, and that WooCommerce does not load when it is absent. Installing the theme alone therefore does not create an online store; use WooCommerce if you need those sales features.

The publisher’s block-edition listing reports WordPress 6.6 or newer and PHP 7.4 or newer, and says the theme is tested through WordPress 7.1. Compatibility details can change, so check the current Horseclub listing before installing. The Elementor edition requires the free Elementor plugin; check its current requirements separately.

How to decide before installing
- Pick the block edition if you are starting a site and want to edit it with WordPress’s built-in Site Editor.
- Pick the Elementor edition if your existing site depends on Elementor.
- Confirm that your WordPress and PHP versions meet the current listing’s requirements.
- Plan how booking requests and newsletter signups will reach the right system; the default destination is the administrator email.
- If you need online sales, decide whether to add WooCommerce; it is not required for the theme itself.
