Hood Warfare 2 is the better fit if you want a focused online FPS with six match modes, weapon customization, progression and optional bots. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II (2022) is the broader package, adding a globe-trotting campaign and co-op Special Ops to its multiplayer. Hood Warfare 2 also requires much less disk space: 25 GB minimum and 30 GB recommended, compared with 125 GB at both Modern Warfare II requirement tiers.
The hardware lists point in different directions. Hood Warfare 2 names newer, faster minimum and recommended processors and graphics cards, while Modern Warfare II lists older minimum classes but demands a far larger installation. Neither storefront publishes frame-rate benchmarks, so the specifications below are compatibility targets rather than promises of a particular FPS result.
What “Call of Duty” means in this comparison
“Call of Duty” covers many releases with different engines, maps and system requirements. For a like-for-like comparison here, it means Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II, released on October 22, 2022. The other game is Hood Warfare 2, listed for release on October 8, 2026 by Trapstar Games. Comparing those specific PC editions avoids mixing Modern Warfare II with another Call of Duty entry that may have completely different requirements.

Quick decision: which game fits your priorities?
- Choose Hood Warfare 2 for a match-first online shooter, a humorous fictional Chicago gang-war setting, six named modes, loadout and attachment tinkering, weapon-challenge progression, and bot-filled matches. Its recommended install is only 30 GB.
- Choose Modern Warfare II if you want one purchase to include a solo campaign, competitive multiplayer and narrative-driven co-op Special Ops. Reserve 125 GB for the installation, at either listed requirement tier.
- If your PC is short on storage, Hood Warfare 2 is the clear choice on the published figures. Its recommended footprint is 95 GB smaller than Modern Warfare II’s, and its minimum footprint is 100 GB smaller.
- If you are judging only by the minimum GPU or CPU names, do not assume the older-looking Modern Warfare II list means it will deliver higher FPS on every system. The two publishers provide no shared benchmark, test scene or frame-rate target.
What Hood Warfare 2 includes
A match-based FPS built around six modes
Hood Warfare 2 is presented as a multiplayer first-person shooter set in fictional Chicago gang rivalry. Its six named modes are Turf War, GangBang, Chaos, Hit A Lick, Destroy The Block and Chain Snatch. The structure is match-focused: you select a mode, build a loadout, play the round and use progression systems to expand your options.
The official description says the sequel brings back the chaotic FPS gameplay and humor of the original while moving to Unreal Engine 5. It also calls out updated visuals, new weapon animations and a new set of maps. That combination suggests a faster, more stylized presentation than a military simulation, but the published material does not provide measured frame rates or a detailed map-by-map performance profile.
Attachments, perks and weapon challenges
Loadout customization covers sights, magazines, grips, suppressors and other weapon attachments. You can also assemble perks and equipment into a build suited to the mode or your preferred range. Leveling unlocks weapons, while weapon challenges earn attachments separately. This creates two progression paths: your overall level opens access to equipment, and use of a particular weapon expands that weapon’s configuration.
Bots for matches that are not entirely human
Hood Warfare 2 can fill matches with bots. That matters if you want practice, a less intimidating way to learn maps, or a populated match when there are not enough human players. Bot support does not turn the game into a campaign; the published description still positions it as an online, match-based FPS.
What Modern Warfare II includes
Three distinct content pillars
Modern Warfare II combines a globe-trotting single-player campaign, online multiplayer and a narrative-driven co-op Special Ops experience. The campaign gives you a solo progression path, while Special Ops supplies cooperative missions with a story component. Multiplayer remains the competitive match component, but it is only one part of the package.

That broader structure is the most important gameplay difference. Hood Warfare 2 concentrates its identity on repeated online matches, whereas Modern Warfare II is designed for players who may move between solo story missions, cooperative objectives and competitive rounds.
Military action instead of fictional gang-war humor
The settings and tones are also different. Hood Warfare 2 uses dark humor and fictional gang rivalry in Chicago. Modern Warfare II uses military action and a globe-spanning campaign frame. If the setting is as important to you as gunplay, this distinction may decide the purchase before the hardware comparison does.

Modern Warfare II has greater mode breadth because its package includes campaign, multiplayer and co-op Special Ops. Which game offers deeper loadout progression?
Hood Warfare 2 explicitly details sights, magazines, grips, suppressors, perks, equipment, weapon unlocks and attachment rewards from weapon challenges. Those systems make experimentation a central part of its loop. Modern Warfare II’s description in the available listing emphasizes its three content pillars rather than specifying an equivalent attachment-by-attachment progression list, so the published evidence supports a clearer customization description for Hood Warfare 2.
Can you play alone?
Modern Warfare II has a dedicated single-player campaign. Hood Warfare 2 is described as an online multiplayer game with bot support; bots can help populate matches, but they are not the same as a scripted solo campaign. If “alone” means a story with authored missions, Modern Warfare II is the direct match.

Can you play cooperatively?
Modern Warfare II includes narrative-driven co-op Special Ops. Hood Warfare 2’s listed modes and bot support describe multiplayer match participation, not a separate cooperative story campaign. Choose Modern Warfare II when planned co-op missions are a requirement.

The available information does not specify match lengths for either game, so no reliable minute-by-minute comparison can be made. Hood Warfare 2’s match-first structure may appeal to players who want to stay inside a repeatable online loop, while Modern Warfare II gives you the option to switch to campaign or Special Ops when you want a different format.

How to interpret the hardware differences
CPU requirements
Hood Warfare 2 starts at a six-core Core i5-9600K or Ryzen 5 3600 and recommends a Core i5-12600K or Ryzen 5 7600. Modern Warfare II lists a wider range of older minimum processors, from the Core i3-6100 and Core i5-2500K to the Ryzen 3 1200, then recommends a Core i5-6600K, Core i7-4770 or Ryzen 5 1400.
Those names are not a direct performance ranking across games. Different engines, settings and workloads can make a newer listed minimum necessary for one title even when another title lists an older chip. Treat the Hood Warfare 2 CPU tier as the starting compatibility target for that game, not as proof that it will use more CPU in every scene.

Graphics requirements
For Hood Warfare 2, the minimum graphics options are a GTX 1660 or RX 5600 XT with 6 GB, while the recommended tier is an RTX 3060 Ti or RTX 4060 with 8 GB. Modern Warfare II lists a GTX 960 or RX 470 at minimum and a GTX 1060, RX 580 or Intel Arc A770 as recommended.
The minimum GPU names are therefore newer and more capable on the Hood Warfare 2 list. That is consistent with its Unreal Engine 5 presentation, but it still does not tell you how many frames you will see. A system can meet a minimum and still need lower resolution or quality settings, especially if it is paired with a weak CPU, slow memory or background workloads.
Memory
Both games list 8 GB of RAM at minimum. Hood Warfare 2 raises the recommendation to 16 GB, while Modern Warfare II lists 8 GB as recommended as well. If your computer has exactly 8 GB, close unnecessary applications before launching Hood Warfare 2 and avoid treating the minimum tier as a guarantee of smooth multitasking. The requirement alone cannot predict stutter or frame pacing.
Operating system and graphics API
Every tier in the comparison requires DirectX 12. Hood Warfare 2’s minimum is Windows 10 64-bit version 1909 or newer, with Windows 11 64-bit recommended. Modern Warfare II requires a current 64-bit Windows 10 installation at minimum and lists current Windows 10 or Windows 11 at the recommended tier. Update Windows before troubleshooting a launch failure, then confirm that your graphics driver supports the required DirectX 12 feature path.
Storage: the largest practical difference
Hood Warfare 2 lists 25 GB minimum and 30 GB recommended. Modern Warfare II lists 125 GB at both tiers. In raw terms, Modern Warfare II needs 100 GB more than Hood Warfare 2’s minimum and 95 GB more than its recommended figure; its listed footprint is more than four times Hood Warfare 2’s recommended size.

Leave additional free space beyond the listed number for the launcher, temporary unpacking, shader caches and updates. The requirement itself is the game’s published target, not a promise that an installation will never need extra working room. On a small SSD, the difference can determine whether you need to uninstall another game before downloading.

Use the minimum column as a checklist, then compare against the recommended column if you want more headroom. Do not compare only one component: a graphics card that clears the minimum does not compensate for an unsupported operating system or an underpowered processor.
- Check Windows. Confirm a 64-bit Windows 10 installation at version 1909 or newer, or use Windows 11. Install pending Windows updates before testing the game.
- Identify the processor. In Windows, open Settings, choose System, then About, and compare the processor model with the Core i5-9600K or Ryzen 5 3600 minimum class. The recommended class is Core i5-12600K or Ryzen 5 7600.
- Identify the graphics card and memory. Open Settings, choose System, then Display, then Advanced display, and verify the active GPU. Check Settings, System, About for installed RAM. The minimum GPU is a GTX 1660 or RX 5600 XT 6 GB with 8 GB system RAM; the recommended target is an RTX 3060 Ti or RTX 4060 8 GB with 16 GB RAM.
- Confirm DirectX 12. Press Windows key plus R, enter
dxdiag, and check the DirectX version shown by the diagnostic tool. The game’s listed requirement is DirectX 12. - Reserve storage. Keep at least 25 GB available for the minimum target or 30 GB for the recommended target, with extra room for installation and updates.
- Check your connection. Both tiers require broadband internet, so a PC that passes the offline hardware checks still needs a suitable online connection for the game’s multiplayer features.
If one component falls below minimum, the listing provides no supported FPS estimate or workaround. You can reduce competing workload by closing browsers, recording tools and other background applications, but that does not turn unsupported hardware into a tested configuration.

Apply the same process, but plan for the much larger install. The minimum list accepts a Core i3-6100, Core i5-2500K or Ryzen 3 1200, a GTX 960 or RX 470, 8 GB of RAM and 125 GB of storage. The recommended list moves to a Core i5-6600K, Core i7-4770 or Ryzen 5 1400, a GTX 1060, RX 580 or Intel Arc A770, still with 8 GB of RAM and 125 GB of storage.
Because Modern Warfare II includes campaign, multiplayer and Special Ops, you should also consider which parts you plan to install and play. The published requirement is 125 GB for both tiers; do not assume that choosing only multiplayer will reduce the official space target unless the installer explicitly offers that option.
Troubleshooting when a system is near the listed tier
The game will not launch
- Confirm that Windows is 64-bit and meets the stated version requirement.
- Install current Windows updates and the latest driver offered for your GPU.
- Close overlays, browsers, capture software and other background processes before launching.
- Recheck that the monitor is connected to the dedicated graphics card rather than an integrated output when a desktop has both.
The installer reports insufficient space
- Use the recommended storage figure rather than the minimum if you want room for updates.
- Remove unused files or move another game before starting the download.
- Keep temporary free space available during installation; a drive with exactly 25 GB or 30 GB free may still fail while files are unpacked.
Performance is lower than expected
Meeting a minimum specification does not establish a frame-rate result. First verify that the game is using the intended GPU, close background workloads and check that Windows is fully updated. Then adjust resolution and visual settings conservatively. If the processor or graphics card is below the published minimum, the storefront information does not provide a supported performance expectation.
