HONOR has confirmed it is developing a compact tablet for its gaming-focused WIN lineup. Reports based on HONOR China executive Lin Lin’s posts describe an OLED display, Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset and built-in cooling fan. HONOR has been reported as teasing a refresh rate above 200 Hz, but the specific 240 Hz rate and roughly 8.4-inch size come from a tipster, not confirmed final specifications.
What HONOR has confirmed about the WIN Pad
HONOR has confirmed development of a compact WIN tablet, with its executive describing attention to performance, weight and battery life. The device is an upcoming product, not a retail model with a complete published specification sheet. Notebookcheck reported the development confirmation on August 26, 2026.
September reporting based on Lin Lin’s Weibo teaser and comments attributes these hardware details to HONOR:

Is the HONOR WIN Pad’s display 240 Hz?
HONOR’s teaser was reported as indicating a refresh rate above 200 Hz. The precise 240 Hz figure, along with an approximately 8.4-inch panel size, was attributed to tipster Digital Chat Station rather than announced by HONOR as final specifications. Notebookcheck’s October 3, 2026 coverage distinguishes the teaser from the tipster’s claims.
Until HONOR publishes a final spec sheet, treat 240 Hz and the panel size as reports, not settled specifications. A high refresh rate describes how often the screen can refresh; it does not mean every game will render at that frame rate. GPU load, thermal behavior and individual games’ frame-rate caps can limit actual gameplay. Tablet News noted on October 3, 2026 that HONOR had not published thermal testing, fan-noise figures or game-specific results.

- Battery capacity and real-world endurance

- Fan noise
- Price, warranty terms and local availability
Those gaps matter because a fast chipset and high-refresh display alone do not establish how well a tablet performs during long gaming sessions. Buyers comparing compact gaming tablets should rely on verified, like-for-like specifications and testing rather than treating reported figures as a complete picture.

The WIN Pad is worth watching if you want a compact gaming tablet and value an OLED screen, active cooling and a high-refresh display. There is not yet enough public information to judge its value or sustained performance: the price, launch timing, final display specifications, battery details and measured gaming behavior remain unsettled.
