To reach Astropolis Central District, update Honkai: Star Rail to Version 4.5 or later, then advance the main Trailblaze story until you can start “To Roll the Stars in Astropolis.” Follow that mission’s navigation; the story takes you into the district. The available unlock guide reports no separate key item, event currency, or Warp requirement. NerdsChalk’s August 2026 unlock guide gives the exact route; official Version 4.5 materials confirm the new Astropolis areas and story context, but do not spell out every prerequisite.
Steps to unlock Astropolis Central District
- Update the game. Install Version 4.5 or later. Version 4.5 introduced Astropolis Central District along with Lodestar Tower and Skycall Aery. HoYoLAB’s Version 4.5 notice confirms the new-area context.
- Continue the main Trailblaze story. Complete the preceding Planarcadia story missions until the Astropolis chapter becomes available. Official Version 4.2 material describes the Planarcadia mission sequence; it also notes that those missions can be experienced early through “Finality’s Vision: Leap of Trailblaze.” HoYoLAB’s Version 4.2 update notice
- Open the Trailblaze Mission list. Find and start “To Roll the Stars in Astropolis.” If it is not listed, check the mission screen for any prerequisite it displays.
- Follow the mission navigation. Progress through the story until the game brings your Trailblazer to Astropolis Central District. The guide reports no additional item or event currency gate for reaching it.
- Return using the map. Once you have reached the district, use the travel points shown on its map for later trips. A community map archive also shows the district as an in-game map: HoYoWiki’s Astropolis Central District page.
If “To Roll the Stars in Astropolis” is missing
- Confirm the client is updated to Version 4.5 or later.
- Check that you have progressed through the earlier Planarcadia Trailblaze missions.
- Review the in-game mission list for a displayed prerequisite and complete it before checking again.
The available guide describes Planarcadia progression as necessary, but does not establish an exact final prerequisite mission or a minimum Trailblaze Level. The official update material supports the Planarcadia story context, not a specific level requirement; do not rely on an assumed level as the unlock condition.
District access versus activities inside it
Astropolis Central District is a story-area unlock introduced in Version 4.5. It is distinct from limited-time events that may be available during the same version: the cited unlock route is the main Trailblaze mission, not event participation or a Warp. If you have already reached the district but are asking about a particular activity or sub-area within it, that is a separate access question and may have its own in-game instructions.
What to expect after arriving
The other Version 4.5 Astropolis areas are Lodestar Tower and Skycall Aery. The unlock guide says the story continues onward to those areas, while official materials confirm their inclusion in Version 4.5; the exact transition order is not established by those official sources. Apple’s App Store editorial feature on the update also describes the new Astropolis areas as settings for Trailblaze Mission and Trailblaze Continuance stories.
